We have just spent a very pleasant weekend for a wedding in Stellenbosch. It was made all the nicer to have been at Caledon Villa. The staff were fantastic, booking taxies and making sure the room was ready ahead of time. Lovey rooms and gardens plus a swimming pool which unfortunately we didn't have time to use.
Would we stay there again? most definitely

Room Tip: Victoria was good

We stayed at Caedon Villa for 7 nights in Dec/Jan, and really loved it! We had the "honeymoon suite" which was huge. The bed is circular and is mad to measure the circular front of the house. (This means you can't get out at the side, you have to slide to the foot of the bed). We thought that by being at the front door that it would disturb us, but it really didn't. We had a jacuzi bath on on occassion and that too was lovely. The room had tons of storage, so we could unpack everything, which adds to the homely feel of the place.

The staff themselves were just lovely and couldn't do enough to help. Every time we asked for anything it was done. On one occassion we asked them to book a taxi for us. As there weren't any available, one of the staff drove us there himself! He was going that way anyway, but still, it was above and beyond.

Thank you Caledon. We can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: We loved the honeymoon suite, but it might not be for everyone with the round bed.

We visited this villa in december 2013.
This guesthouse consits of beautiful furniture and charming rooms. Mister Johan, the owner of the guesthouse, takes his time to welcome all the guests in person. He has an incredible knowledge of the region and will share this to anyone who wants to know more about the local Wine domains. The location of the guesthouse is perfect. The centre of Stellenbosch in just a 5 min walk.

The only negative thing I can say, is that the pool was not 100% clear. But you visit this region for its excellent wines, not for the pools.

This was a nice place, with period decor, right near the center of Stellenbosch. The proprietors were friendly and very helpful with directions and suggestions for places to visit in town. This would be a particularly good establishment for couples i believe.

This guest house is well located, in a calm, green street, just 5 min away by walk from the historic center and its restaurants in Stellenbiosch. The welcome at Caledon Villa was extremely friendly. Both the room and the bathroom were comfortable. I particularly appreciated the wide choice offered at breakast. The latter can be taken inside, or outside at a table facing the lovely garden in which I occasionally enjoyed relaxing on a long chair.

We stayed here for 4 nights in November 13 as part of our 3 week holiday in South Africa.

Caledon Villas is more like staying with friends than staying in a B&B as you are made to feel so at home whilst you are there.

The staff are wonderful – especially Bernice who was always so happy & cheerful. It was always a pleasure seeing her smiling face 1st thing in the morning at breakfast.

Everything about Caledon was perfect and we will definitely be back next time we are in South Africa.

My husband and I visited Stellenbosch at the beginning of December and stayed again at Caledon Villa, our 12th time. It is our no.1 B&B in Stellenbosch for a number of reasons: very friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We stayed in most of them over the years, including the Farao Suite, and they are all tastefully furnished. The breakfasts are delicious. The property itself and the gardens are kept in tip top condition. Although we did not make use of the excellent swimming pool this time, we did enjoy relaxing on the sun loungers.
The location is another plus, as restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance, but as it is in a side street, it is quiet and peaceful.
Last but certainly not least is Johan's knowledge of the area. He is always ready with suggestions as to where to go, what to visit and some of them have become regulars for us that we would have never found without Johan's input. For us Caledon Villa really ticks all the boxes and we never even consider staying anywhere else when we are in the area and we can highly recommend it.

Room Tip: If your budget allows and it is available, choose the Farao Suite.
