A very pleasant Friday night. It was cold, but inside the restaurant it was warm and welcoming. The food was excellent and well presented. Dirk Voster had very good knowledge of the Siminsig wines he offered - part of the really special cullinary experience of the night. The service from our waitress was friendly and efficient. A restaurant to recommend.

I was attending an annual business meeting late November 2013 in Cape Town and during these ways was invited to have dinner at Cuvee, Simonsig's restaurant. What a wonderful evening did I have.

The estate I would like to describe as Cape Dutch arhcitecture. It is just impressive to realize that centuries ago people moved to a unknown country with al its pro and cons having by far not the luxury of knowledge we now accept as normal.

To review the location, food, drinks and service is quite easy: all of it is very good!

Very very friendly staff, great food accompanied by great wines and set in a pittoresk location.
It felt as if I was blessed to be there.

Realizing that it was my first visit to Cape Town and my only visit to a wine estate wich offers wine tasting with a restaurant am confident to say this: if you're in Cape Town and have the time and you make your way to Simonsig you will not be disappointed .

Thanks again all of you at Simonsig !

A Cold and wet Father's day can be a joyous celebration at Cuvee. The atmosphere warm as well as the welcome. After a wonderful glass of their Cap Classique the bad weather is forgotten. A small menu with south African specialities like spingbok, ox tail which was superb and all South African like chicken. Although the menu is small it is diverse and well priced. Deserts was a taste experience especially the warm chocolate fondant. The Creme brûlée needed something- more vanilla or something.
Excellent service and a venue to consider no matter the weather.

It was a cold rainy day in Stellenbosch (and there are many of those!!)
Cuvee was the ideal place for Sunday lunch - the fire and décor makes this such a nice and cosy place...
The food was divine!! Each meal was presented beautifully and had a special touch. Amongst the group we had squid, quail, and salmon for starters. Each dish a masterpiece - and the wooded Chenin and Chardonnay even had the serious wine connoisseurs around the table in awe. The best Chardonnay I have ever tasted (although I am not an expert)!!
The oxtail (main course) was not presented in customary SA style but was, almost surprisingly, delicious and tasteful! The fish did not disappoint either and the Springbok was presented so nicely and scored a 10/10 for presentation too.
The waitress took good care of us and everybody around the table had a great time!

We are regular visitors to this restaurant - where the menu changes regularly and remains interesting - always with good wine parings.
Today's visit just reconfirmed why we go back so often - close to home and absolutely worth the visit - every time!! (Inside in winter and outside in summer)
