Booked the day before because there was a £100 saving on Expedia. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived, gave us a tour around the property, and invited us for the complimentary wine tasting at our convenience.

Not only were the rooms stunning, there were kitchen facilities, and a lounge area. Beautiful pool, and a games room that was available but slightly dusty.

Great wine, great service, and wonderful property.

We had a wonderful experience at the Marianne Wine Estate. We just went as a day visitor and tried some of their truly exceptional wines! The staff were amazing and the estate is just beautiful. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!

Great place to stay. The free wine tasting is very nice too. They have a great selection of SA wines.

The rooms were tidy, large and authentic. We felt bad we only stayed here for just one night. wifi was working fine, except not in our room (signal was to weak).

Marianne Wine Estate has excellent wines and lovely setting. It is well off the main road so there is not noise from the R44.
The room we had (Tafelberg) was lovely. I am sure this room is great in summer and warmer weather. We were there during a cold, wet winter weekend. The door to the room was swollen from the rain, the water came pouring in the through the one window frame during a downpour.
The room did have any heating other than air conditioner. By running the A/C it spoilt the quiet we came for. There wasnlt even mats in front of the beds to get out of bed onto the cold floor.
A wonderful place, with great potential. A few small things could make this excellent.

My second visit to this fabulous wine estate. This visit I stayed for three nights (July 1, 2 and 3) and was afforded the opportunity to stay in a loft suite (KANONKOP) and the traditional SA MANOR HOUSE which boasts a huge fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, large screen digital TV, a loft suite and separate bedrooms all of which are colorfully decorated with floor heating.

Marianne Wine Estate has one of the largest selections of award winning wines in the region. All of the "FLOREAL" wines (2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009) and the 2009 MERLOT are NOT TO BE MISSED on any visit to the STELLENBOSCH Wine Route.

The staff are switched on when it comes to South African hospitality at its finest. Their attention to detail is evident in the tasting room with its fireplace that sets the ambiance for a romantic wine tasting as you watch an inspiring sun set over vineyard and the distant mountain range.

From the home made yoghurts to the cheese boards and individually prepared breakfast, you will be charmed by the warm friendliness of the staff.

Room Tip: Take an extended stay and try the MANOR HOUSE and a loft suite

We stayed at the Marianne Manor house for a getaway out of the city,
We were given the upper level suite in the manor house that was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Underfloor heating, a fireplace, large en-suite bathroom with an outdoor but private shower were some of the comforts the room had to offer. It also had a large screen TV (if that's your thing). The staff who booked us in as well as welcomed us for breakfast the next day were incredibly friendly and you were made to feel a valued guest. The reception area in which one dines is a short walk away from the rooms, but does take you through a lovely lemon tree orchard. The Manor house has quite a few other rooms all opening onto a communal lounge and kitchen, but with their own complete privacy. The Marianne Estate is also a short drive from the neighboring estates, thus it works well as a place to stay if you're touring the area. The whole house would be fantastic to rent out with a group friends and we plan to do that in the near future.

Room Tip: If you're a couple wanting to get away. We can highly recommend the top suite in the manner hous...

We have not actually visited this estate but plan to do so in the near future. We were introduced to the Marianne wines at the recent Wine & Dine evening at The Mount Nelson Hotel. Absolutely delicious especially the 2008 Merlot. In fact, all the reds were wonderful. We also met the owners, who were hospitable and charming. Looking forward to visiting the estate.
