This guesthouse is a very good option for a stay in Stellenbosch. It is nearby the town center and situated in a very quit area. Penelope herself is a perfect hostess and she will do anything to let you feel at home.

We stayed two nights at this guest house and we were inspired by the luxury accommodation and the quality of the room. On the one hand the guest house is located appr. 2 km from the inner city of Stellenbosch, what is a little bit remote. On the other hand the wineries direction Sommerset West are very easy to reach without getting in traffic. The recommendations we received at the guest were excellent. We visited Dornier, Vergelegen (the historic residence of the dutch governor, now winery) and Morgenster (famous olive oil tasting).

We stayed at Penelope's for our first three nights in S.A. on a recent trip from the UK visiting local wineries and golf courses. Our stay was very comfortable and in an excellent en-suite room.
The location is a short drive from Stellenbosch, in a quiet residential area. This suited us very well as we had our own vehicle. There is good, secure, off road parking..
Breakfast was very good and served in a delightful breakfast area.
Penelope was very helpful assisting with local knowledge and suggestions for visits in the locality.
We would recommend Penelope's for anyone seeking Guest house accommodation in the Stellenbosch area..

We stayed for 2 nights at Penelope's Guesthouse and it was just fantastic! The Guesthouse is in a very nice neighborhood, approximately 10 minutes outside of Stellenbosch. In front of the house you can park your car within the fence. The owner, Penelope, is very nice and helpful. So if we had any questions about the region or the wineries she helped us to find it.

The room was big with a balcony, with air conditioning, WIFI, TV, a nespresso machine, a wonderful bed and a bath room with a huge shower. We also loved the details, like always fresh flowers everywhere and the small water bottles, the wine bottle or the chocolate we found in our room. I you need more to drink you can take it out of the fridge and pay it when leave.

Last but not least: The breakfast made the stay just perfect! Fresh fruits, cereals, yogurt, toast, all varieties of eggs, orange juice, coffee, tea... all you need for a good start into the day.

I can just recommend this Guesthouse!

Room Tip: We had room number 4, quiet and with a view into the garden.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Penelope was a lovely hostess, keen to to make sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. She was also happy to give suggestions about activities and to book restaurants in and around Stellenbosch and to ensure we made the most of our stay in the Winelands.

My wife and I stayed at Penelope's the night of our wedding and the night thereafter. It was the perfect place to relax and catch in our breath the day after our wedding. Might I add, the aircons were complete bliss as our stay was over one of the hottest weekends in a long time.
