We visit F/hoek regularly and had been keen to visit this restaurant for some time. The interior is beautiful but that is the only positive comment I can make for this establishment.
We arrived on a Sunday morning at 9am for breakfast. The restaurant was empty barring the manageress who was completing paperwork at one of the tables whilst chatting to the chef. Neither got up to greet us or see us to a table. We saw ourselves to a table and were eventually given menus. When our food arrived the toast was burnt and the eggs hard. No waiters were there to assist and after 10 minutes , I got up and went to into the restaurant to complain. The manager did not apologize and was unfriendly and completely unhelpful.
Considering breakfast at this establishment cost approx R69, without coffee one should be able to expect some degree of service. Don't!!
Upon payment of the bill we indicated to the manageress that customer service really needs to be improved and that was met with an "MMMM". (lots of interest!) Upon leaving the restaurant both the chef and restaurant manager were enjoying a smoke right outside the door. It's sad that such a classy looking establishment has such poorly trained staff members working there.
