We hired a car from Cape town and one of our stops was 2 nights at the Spier Hotel Village. We loved it great accomadation even had a fire in the bedroom area of our garden room which also led out to a private pool shared by just a few other rooms. We had the pool all to ourselves no one else used it. The rooms are set out like a village of town houses with small pools to share. There is also a main pool area near the main part of the hotel. The first night we ate at the Moyo Experience - all you can eat African buffet with entertainment thrown in (book ahead through the hotel) - a great night and a must for anyone staying at the hotel. The second night we ate in the hotel again a great meal. Its a great place for families, there were a lot of families but don't be put off if you a just a couple as we are as it was still amazing. Great bar areas to relax in for a drink. The other attractions are a bird sanctury and Cheeter encounter, horse riding, wine tasting and a large lake to have a picnic round.
