My wife and I spent two nights here on our Honeymoon. The room was enormous and really comfortable, especially the massive bath!
Dinner at Moyo is an experience on its own; the live music, the dancing, the quality and quantity of food, all for a reasonable price.
Sunday lunch at Jonkershuis restaurant was a typical Sunday Roast with a great variety of food.
We found the hotel to be perfect as a base for touring the various wine estates of the region.
Some refurbishing works were being done in the main lobby but this didnt really cause us any difficulties.

Stayed: October 2006

Stayed here for our honeymoon in October for a few nights. Great hotel room - really spacious bedroom and impressive bathroom.

Good location for touring the wine region.

We also took advantage of the facilities of the hotel and paid for a massage/facial - very good.

Had 2 meals at the hotel. One in the African themed restaurant - buffet-style - good fun and good atmosphere. The other meal in the standard restaurant (where you have breakfast) and food and wine very good standard. Breakfast also very good.

Highly recommended.

Our family of four stayed at the Spier Hotel for 4 nights. The rooms are GIANT. The grounds are beautiful. The pools are refreshing. The restaurants are diverse and interesting. The cheetah and bird encounters are outstanding. The backdrop is beautiful, and the price is a bargain.
