“oldest street in stellenbosch”
Reviewed 7 March 2013

interesting main road in stellenbosch with a lot of old houses from 19. century and older. There are quite a few restaurants in this street and a very funny store which is to my oppinion a must in stellenbosch: "Oom Samie Se Winkel". Very old fashioned but unique and worth a visit

“A place to be”
Reviewed 3 March 2013

The all History of south africa is contained on this superb street.
But a too short street to spend some time to better understand these days. Looks to us knowing this town that Stellenbosch itself is a Museum where not much happening. Please do not touch !!!!
For how many centuries stills ?????
But we all want to see this place moving .... Full of live but it's dead !!!!
PLEASE

“Great street to stop for lunch”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

Dorp Street is home to many coffee shops, historical buildings and excellent restaurants. We went for lunch to a coffee shop called Blue Orange. They have parking and excellent food. The decor is a mix of old farm house and quirky and it's an excellent spot to relax and enjoy a good meal before heading off to explore the rest of Stellenbosch.
