“Beautiful and stately”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2014

We were unable to enter the church (Sunday) afternoon however, just visiting the grounds were quite impressive and fragrant. Lovely to park car stroll this beautiful town and right at the end of the block (Church St.) you will find this treasure.

Historical church, being the second congregation in South Africa, going back more than 300 years. Ask for the video show, available in five languages.

“A walk into history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013

The Dutch Reformed Church is mostly open from January to November for day visits. Opening hours from Monday to Friday is 9:30am until 12:30pm and then again from 14:00 to 16:00. You can sit in the Church and look at the amazing windows. Or just to listen to organ music. On Sundays they have 2 services. One in the morning 9:30am and in the evening at 19:00pm. The organist is well known.
