“Stunning views and so relaxing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 December 2012

We stayed in November for 3 nights whilst travelling through the winelands. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local facilities and amenities.
Stayed in the Clovelly suite with its comfy double bed, large sofas and double showers with amazing views of the rolling hills to see from the private balcony.

The breakfast hamper, delivered to your front day each morning (and yes in tupperware pots) was lovely and fresh each day, and whilst the estate has no dinner option there are 2 fantastic restaurants (Le pommier and Takara) either side of the estate. Only downside was the small pool and the wifi was weak apart from in the bathroom, but we were too busy seeing the beautiful hills and wine estates to be concerned.

A beautiful estate with amazing views was just the rest and relaxation needed before heading back to the UK for the winter.

We stayed in Alluvia for 4 nights during Spring 2012. The manager is very friendly and very helpful. She can book any day trip you like, for instance wine tasting or golf. The best part however is the view from the terrace of your room. Breakfast is delivered every morning to you room to be consumed in private. During our stay there where only two reasons to rate this estate with 4 in stead of 5 stars: the splash (swimming) pool was not cleaned until our final day and we were not able to access wifi.

Room Tip: We stayed in Oakleaf 2, which has a very good view and is close to the splash pool.

Absolutely worth going there and spending the weekend. Perfect place to get out of the city and relax. Hitting a few golf balls, or doing some fly-fishing, all within 50m from my room. Will definitely be going back!

We stayed in the cottage and enjoyed every moment. The cottage had everything you need to relax with friends. It was clean, quiet and we loved the bathrooms and comfortable beds. The farm is beautiful and relaxing and close to great wine farms and restaurants. We felt very welcome and the receptionist was very helpful.

We had the privilege of spending a couple of nights at Alluvia. What a stunning setting and true hospitality. It provided the perfect springboard for us to enjoy the Winelands whilst providing superb accommodation.

The area is tranquil and provides the perfect setting for relaxation at the end of a active day in spacious rooms with the sense of home that is quite difficult to find in more commercialized establishments.

Wandering through the vineyards to supper in the oncoming evening light was truly a remarkable experience.

Service is sharp whilst not overwhelming and you can enjoy as much as is on offer on the Estate or take in the wonderful surrounds which are within easy access.

We will be going back as often as we can.

Room Tip: The Clovelly Suite is a must. Large room with sitting area, fire place, dining area and full en-suit...

The rooms are tired, we were served with food in tupperwares for breakfast albeit in a picnic basket. The girl at the reception was not helpful, we felt stranded at the property until a kind lodger offered to drive us up to another area for our diner.

Spa bookin need to be made a day ahead, dinner was about 10 min or or away and verbal description was given halfheartedly.

Didn't like the first white wine offered during wine tasting, didn't stay on for the rest of the tasting but according to my other friends were not impressed (surprising as this is a wine lodging).

Bored out of our mind and thank goodness only stayed for one night.

What a lovely place. We stayed ther for 2 nights. They are right next to Tokara Wine Estate, and you can walk through the wineyards to get to Le Pommier Restaurant. The rooms are big and spacious, there is cable Tv and a little outside area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and lap up the beautiful views over the mountains. They serve breakfast in a Picknick Basket delivered at your door when YOU want it?! They just gently knock and disappear and voila! You can have breakfast in bed, or outside next to pool or under the trees. We tasted AND bought some of their VERY EXCLUSIVE wines. Worth the stay. We did not try the Spa.
