After a 2 week intense yoga holiday I treated myself to a couple of nights at the Nilaya. Stayed in the Star room which is enormous. The access down a couple of steps can be tricky late at night and there's not great lighting but once you're in the room it's a bit of heaven. Huge bedroom & bathroom, comfy bed & a private terrace outside. The deco is beautiful. The food is delicious, the massages fantastic - highly recommend the shirodara & hot oil massages - the staff very helpful and kind. Lovely swimming pool to laze around during the day. Perfect for winding down and relaxing.

Rooms are awesome , uniquely named and designed. BUT the location is not easy to find. It's 2.5 km upwards from Arpoura junction over the top of hill where it is difficult to get a convince if you want to go for a beach ride. It is not at all luxury hotel like no phones, no signal , no TV , nothing. You need to go to front office for every single need. Food is not at all impressive as they majorly have French menu. You won't even get tandoori roties or even north Indian food. You need to very dependent on them only if its heavy rain outside. 1 plate of French Fries here will cost you 500 INR. Food is so expensive. Nothing much to explore here. Overall Mix experience and will not recommend for GOA kind of place for any Indian. Their main focus is to get foreigners attraction only.

Room Tip: Sun room is best !

Artistic place with amazing view. Breakfast is pretty much limited (no buffet) and small. Wifi is free but did not get signal in our room. Rooms are clean and nice. In the evening there is no much to do..no music.. no atmosphere
If you are lucky you can see monkeys and peacocks in the hotel area!

Have visited the Nilaya a few times over the last couple of years, it is an absolute gem, service, staff, food & pool are all superb. It is situated in the hills so fantastic views & it is so peaceful, no traffic noise at all.
