After visiting the north of Goa we decided to spend our 4 remaining days in a quieter area. The hotel is located approx 15min drive south of Dabolim Airport. You & your baggage are screened at the entrance by security personnel.
Check-in was completed sitting in the hotel lobby while you were served a fresh young coconut drink. The lobby overlooks the lagoon and beautifully manicured gardens.
We were allocated a room in Block 3, near the pool. The room was tastefully decorated. The bathroom, that was well stocked with toiletries and towels was seperated from the sleeping area by sliding doors. The bathroom has a wonderful sunken bath that also houses the shower.
Complimentary bottled mineral water was provided everyday along with fruit or small cakes. There is a kettle and a good selection of different teabags and coffee.
We found the bed to be very comfortable and the airconditioner was extremely quiet. There is also a ceiling fan for added comfort.
Our room had a patio overlooking the lagoon. The patio had two loungers and a table.
The swimming pool consisted of several pools at different levels. There were several areas with sunbeds which were very comfortable. There is also a jacuzzi.
The beach must be one of the cleanest beaches I have ever seen. It was a wide & long strip of powdery sand. The Hyatt has ample sunbeds on the beach. There are a few beach shacks on the beach who serve food & drinks. You will not be hassled by people trying to sell you things like was the case in the north.
Our room rate did not include breakfast. It costs approx €18per person. However, it was superb. A fantastic selection of American, Continental & Indian food. You will not be disappointed.
We had lunch & supper at several of the restaurant and found it all to be tasty. Our favourite was the Indian restaurant. The restaurant prices are quite steep.
The hotel provides an events calendar when you check-in. You can participate in several of the classes etc that take place should you feel like it.
Guests were of all nationalities and we found the atmosphere serene. There were no large groups while we were there.
The hotel provides a courtesy taxi back to the airport.
We can recommend the Hyatt. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this is it.

We stayed at this hotel early February, 2011. The hotel was nice and everything went as expected. The Beach was clean and very well maintained. The grounds were also very nice. The breakfast was great. The personnel were courteous and helpful.
The only issue that we had with this hotel is that there is nothing to do right outside the hotel limits. It is located in the middle of nowhere in South Goa. To go anywhere, you need a taxi and the Taxi Drivers know this. The local bus is too crowded for the tourists. The taxi drivers have formed a Union and they harass and threaten any outside taxi and its driver that may come to pick up guests. The union people people just sit outside the hotel and behave as if they own the hotel. They charge roughly 75% over the going rate. For example, to go to Colva Beach, which is only 6 KM away, they charge Rs. 550 plus tax. For a return trip to Dudhsagar Falls, they charge Rs. 3500 plus tax while the real going rate is Rs. 2000 for a taxi from Colva Beach.
I strongly suggest that the hotel should run an hourly shuttle to Colva Beach from where the guests can then rent a Taxi to go anywhere at the normal rates.
If you are going to just be inside the hotel property like for a honeymoon, I would recommend this hotel highly but if you are the type that may like to explore the area outside the hotel, I would suggest that you look into a hotel in North Goa.

STRENGHTS: Comfortable rooms. spacious bathroom, Helpful staff (who go the extra mile), gardens. Nice clean beach.
WEAKNESS: Cleanliness of rooms poor (on 2 days not thoroughlly dusted and broomed/mopped), Furniture of rooms poor - looked old (drawers fell off) - sink had crack on it - veranda brickwork has broken plaster. Spa was not relaxing (ambience was poor - rooms were too bright - poor massage skills), corridors to rooms dark (I fell on staircase as a result!), Hotel books conferences and private parties (very noisy for other guests, "Lagoon" around the resort looked cheap and tacky - Restaurents - food was boring and not for foodies - certainly not vaule for money - breakfast layout was poor - egg station was far from making toast - so food went cold - On the 10 days we were there - never had teapoons on the tables!! Coffee was always cold!! Butter was always hard!! Hotel staff had limited knowledge of trips and sightseeing or shops. Dont eat at the Palms Seafood restaurant - not the best seafood - and over priced. If you want 4 star - then book this hotel - but this is definately not a 5 star hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa during the Lunar New Year period. The hotel accomodations, service and resort complex live up to what we've come to expect when staying at a Hyatt property. The remote location in South Goa was very appealing to my wife and I as we don't like the crowds that occur on the North Goa hotels and beaches. The staff was very attentive and were constantly greeting us and asking us about our stay. The hotel organizes many free activities that are worth checking out. The 45 acre complex is worth exploring, especially if you like looking for birds. The beach front is beautiful and has plenty of chairs and umbrellas to take care of guests. The ocean was calm and not the hazard that some other reviews had described, but that could be due to time of year as well. Although the restaurants on complex are fine, they are a little overpriced for what you get. I highly recommend Balton's Restaurant (either across the street from the Park Hyatt or on the beach just south of the Park Hyatt) as a place to experience authentic Indian and Goan cuisine at a fraction of the price. Overall, an excellent hotel and a great location!

The Park Hyatt in Goa deserves all the positive reviews it has received and we would strongly recommend it if you are looking to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings. The property is beautifully designed, with lovely lagoons connecting all the areas. There is a huge, well laid out pool and lovely landscaped gardens.
High points:
- Excellent spa, we really enjoyed the ayurvedic consultation (free as part of out romance package) and the abyanga massages we had. You also should take advantage of the free yoga and meditation classes - really excellent
- The private beach is beautiful and the staff will set you up with you own loungers or on matresses. The sea is nice and warm!
- Landscaping and architecture/design of the resort - developed on the concept of a Goan village, you get a nice sense of space and beauty
- The gym has three treadmills, two cross-trainers, other cardio, lots of weights and good space. Always well stocked with water and towels.
- Delicious breakfast buffet - you can also ask for French toast or waffles to be brought to your table
- Staff are really friendly and ready to help

It is true that the hotel does not have many attractions nearby, so if that is what you are looking for, then I would choose somewhere else.

We loved this hotel.

I am a little surprised to see all the raving reviews about the Park Hyatt Goa. For those who have experienced luxury before, this property is hardly the standard. While you do get swept away with the panoramic views when you enter, the stay quality goes downhill rather quickly.

You are greeted with coconut water (in the coconut) as soon as you enter through the security portal. An assistant talks to you about your stay - which is just another justification to tip, as they really do not do anything.

There is NOTHING to see around this property, and you must take a taxi to go anywhere. However, there are a few taxi's just outside the property and about 200 meters away, there is a 'travel agency' that can set up a taxi for you for a little bit cheaper than hotel rates. Be prepared to pay abundantly for the taxis as they are all in collusion. A 5 minute taxi ride to a nearby restaurant was 700 Rupees ($14), which was more than my meal itself. Everywhere you go, be prepared to pay astronomical (for India) prices to ride in a taxi.

The property does not like you to drink any outside food or drink outside of your room and will rudely remind you about their "policy."

The staff is less than stellar. They do not know how to fix even the small things. When called to mention something that needed to be fixed, they did nothing.

The property is beautiful, right on the ocean and extremely clean. They do provide daily and nightly entertainment which is rather nice. Be sure to check out the yoga classes in the morning as they are refreshing. The gym, too, is rather upscale.

While the rooms are nice, they are not spectacular. The mirrors were suffering from corrosion, the television stations came in fuzzy and the rooms were not as quiet as they could have been.

I cannot in good conscious recommend this location.

I went to Goa for vacation with my family. We were two families. We enjoyed every bit of it.We had three days of leisure and it ended in no time.Stay as well as food at Park hyatt was excellent.Staff was most courteous.Quality of food was the best.Everybody from desk boys to men at Resturants were perfect in their roles.Rooms there were cosy, well cleaned and comfortable.Every room have either lawn view or waterfront view.Atmosphere at the hotel was full of fun with everyone there enjoying fully .The beach of hotel was very clean and the lawns were well maintained.Pools and other facilities like sauna and spa were marvelous.I think Park Hyatt Goa stands tall with its standards in service of customers. "Hospitality to be enjoyed at Goa."
