have had a lovely time overall here....glorious spot , had cottage 807 eight on the waterside with pounding surf , and very breezy. Lots of lawn space for kids, nice pool ,lovely clear water off the deck but a difficult clamber down to enter water over mossy rocks...but worth the scramble! ( no beach) next to the lotus pond but walled off from it ,sadly.
helpful staff ,lots and LOTS of sweet nervous trainees busting with the need to prove themselves useful but not much English.
breakfast was adequate ,nice eggs fruit and bacon ,doughy awful banana pancakes and only Bali coffee...I am hanging out for good coffee and this point .
my biggest gripe was having booking a twin room months ago to be still getting a mattress on the floor as our second bed.Slept well but awful to get up and down from. For $60 Aud I would expect at least a bed frame. The cottage however was in a lovely position so did not ask to move. Expensive dining out on the Main Street but would do pick up to better deals next time. One movie channel in English only...could not after a brief look find any other English channels. The wifi however was the best I have found in Bali so far....
loved Candidasa and will be back .....

Stayed here for 9 nights late May 2014. Were in room 807 which was right at the front of the hotel, near the ocean. The Resort is only small but service was excellent. Always a smile and hello when entering or leaving the property.
There is no beach here but we knew that. Snorkeling right at the front of the hotel was great, saw a lot of different fish and coral.
The rooms are in separate buildings with outside bathroom. Pool and deck were good with enough chairs for all, not much shade though.
Buffet breakfast was good with slight changes each day. We had one lunch here which was very nice. The resort is a short walk to the main road where there are plenty of restaurants and shops.
Wifi was free and good speed.
As we stayed for 9 nights we noticed that most people only stayed for a couple of days and there were some larger tour groups that only stopped for one night.

I would stay again and recommend to any one who was looking to stay in the area.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 807 which was right at the front close to the ocean

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks in May 2012 with my wife.
Since then, we've visited Thailand and Cambodia, but this hotel and Bali will stay in our memories for a long time...
The room was perfect and typical. The outdoor bathroom was strange first, but really nice!
The garden is great, and gardeners really kind with us.. They showed us traditional art with palm leaves!
The restaurant is great! Thanks to Adi who was great and showed us his village after a trip at scooter! Very funny souvenir...
Yes the swimming pool is quite cold, but the warm ocean is just 3m away... Even if there is no beach...
So yes, don't hesitate and go in this hotel!

Lovely hotel for the cost. Staff were so helpful. Food Delicious. Cocktails great! Rooms excellent. No faults on this hotel. Gorgeous location. Hesitant about an outdoor bathroom but they were pretty cool.
