As a child I remember dining at Max with my family. Today, as tradition, my family still eat at Max. The service is good, the staff excellent and very friendly, the place clean and the ambience is busy and happy. Still the same taste. Excellent Crispy Pata and eat all you can chicken promos. Max Tagaytay is the best. They welcome pets with a smile. You just keep looking for that unique chicken taste.

If you are looking for fresh cooked dishes, less oily, less salty and less sweet, I would recommend a trip down to Max Restaurant. For those who knows Philippines well, it is immerse with fast food culture. With dishes pre-cooked and over excess of flavours (of either too salty or too sweet), looking for good food can reach a dire state of frustration.

Max Restaurant established since 1945 has several outlets spread across Philippines and immensely popular amongst the locals. We dined in the Sucat branch at Paranaque in Manila. Dishes are freshly cooked (upon order) with real ingredients and the menu offers a wide range of local dishes. It is real filipino flavours minus the extreme salt, sugar and oil.

In terms of price range, for the two of us, we ordered a shared starter, two main dishes, a shared dessert including rice & drink for two, the meal came to php1000. Can't go wrong really for healthier, better quality, better service and value for money.

Max offers a good halo-halo dessert. For the chocolate lover or adventurous spirits, I would highly recommend the "Triple Chocolate Champorado" (Rich chocolate porridge). It may seem like an odd mixture of chocolate and rice but you''ll be surprisingly pleased with the flavours and good quality cocoa used.

It is definitely worth while popping by Max for a good taste of local cuisine and atmosphere.

Max's fried chicken was once the best chicken in baclaran during the late 80's and 90's... now, it became just one of the guys.... service deteriorated to mere average/below average... waiters' ignoring request for water, tissues.... its not customer oriented anymore, its like fast food eat and go, the class atmosphere is gone... sad

Thank bukol
