This just has to be the best restaurant in Burgau where there are many good restaurants. Just make the trip to the top of the hill (opposite the bus shelter!) You won’t be sorry.
The food is consistently very good and the atmosphere lovely. The Caravella has a lovely old fashioned feel to it (Tony loves to show off and flambé food at your table – flambé sole with almonds and crepe suzette being just two I’ve tried and loved). We last visited on the 24th May 2013 – I had the best steak I’ve had in years. My partner had the mixed kebab which is enormous and comes to your table hanging from a gibbet! The owner, Tony, is a lovely man who cannot do enough for you. This is without a doubt the best restaurant I have been to on the whole of the Algarve.
