This is typical Portuguese market. One part sells fresh fruit and vegetables and the other fish. If you are on a self catering holiday, this is the place to stock up on all your food supplies.

Everyday the fresh fish comes in, the products from the farmers, the fruit and vegetables. Next to the sea and the boulevard, this market is a real attraction, also when you do not want to go shopping.

If you don't mind huge crowds, then the Olhao Saturday market should definitely be on your itinerary. As well as enjoying the 2 main indoor markets: the large fish market next to the equally large fruit/ veg/cheese/meat market, the outside has all manner of local produce and a flea market as well. It's a great experience. Even if you're not there on a Saturday, with the added stalls outside, the daily market halls are still well worth a visit. There is so much atmosphere and plenty of photo opportunities. There certainly are some strange looking fish in the sea, that's for sure.

Interesting... got a wide variety of fresh fish and seafood. Also another space for fruits and vegetables. Outside you can also buy different local products and other handmade stuff. The area is next to the see and it's surrounded by good restaurants and bars to have a drink with a nice view. Nice attraction.
