Where have all the tourists gone? Tomar is empty tonight.

As such, my chicken was roasted fresh just for me. it was a little bit of a wait, but boy oh boy was it good. Piping hot and super crunch. No chilli at all for me thanks, but it was superb. Chips etc a touch boring, but chicken took the cake!

Chocolate mousse was as reported, rich and creamy. Not the best I've had, but for a total of € 12 what more can you ask for. Can see how kids and adults alike would be very happy here!

Very clean and neat. Nice wild flowers on the tale.

Looked in from the street - looked very cozy - friendly guy in there ( clearly and definately eating and enjoying his own food :-) ) took us to a table - got starters on the table quickly - we picked steaks, piri piri chicken, veal and pork chops - all dishes were delicate and well prepared. Kids ate every crumb ( does NOT happen every time ).

We had dessert - chocolate mousse to die for - but their SPECIAL HEAVENLY dessert do NOT eat unless you want to become addicted !! That is a killer bomb of calories !! I believe I heard the angels sing ??! WONDERFUL evening at wonderful place.. Atmosphere and food happily hand in hand.

This is a nice place, really cheap, very typical portuguese style. We liked it; the food was good but not excellent, the waiter (who I think was also the owner) was very kind and overall we just had a great dinner.

We dinned there once, and we all had good meals. The waiter (owner?) was very nice to us and the kids.

Stayed in Tomar for a couple nights while 5 weeks traveling around Portugal. Ate at Tripadvisor's number one last night and it was very good, although a little heavy. Tonight we chose Piri Piri and are very glad we did. Both had the chicken piri piri and it was delicious! Kind of wish we had found this place last night. Good size portions. Great prices. Had three beers, two piri, piri chickens, bottle of water and green salad for two. 23 Euros! Can't beat it. Owner very nice. Kept checking on us to make sure all was well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
