We booked this hotel, following a recent visit to Turkey (Limak Lara - Lara Beach) which we loved, so thought we would try another hotel but in another resort which was also classed as a 5 star hotel. Due to the price difference between Cornelia & Limak, we expected Cornelia to be much better.
Upon arrival at 2.00am, we were greeted at reception with a bunch of red roses and received an upgrade, which we found to be impressive. The room was spacious with a large shower room & comfy bed. In our room we also received a fruit platter, chocolate's, nuts & sweets along with a cake in the shape of a heart and a champagne on ice, this was an anniversary gift which was a lovely idea.
Our first few nights we found to be chilly ( end of Oct ) however during the day the weather was lovely, ranging between 23-29c during the course of the week.
The food in the main all-inclusive buffet, contained a lot of choice, salad galore! However we didn't find the food to be all that great, not meeting 5 star requirements.
The entertainment was ok, this took part inside the hotel due to end of season and commenced at 9.45 every night and lasted for approx.45 mins. The shows were enjoyable, mostly dance groups.
We found that each night was rather quiet with nothing to do after the entertainment finished, due to location you couldn't go for a dander as there was no shops bars etc near by.
Day time activities did exist if & when they managed to persuade people to join in. We met Max who was very friendly and he helped us to enjoy our holiday.
The Beach isn't the greatest, but again due to end of season the pier was closed and I believe the beach party's were no longer running.
For lunch, you could visit the outside dining facility which was buffet/menu. You could choose from grilled fish to pizza & kebabs. This was quite good as you had a waitress to serve you but waiting time was long on some occasions. Plus there was a lot of flies which were landing on the open food.
We visited two restaurant's - Tia Pen & Forest Pub, both very good.
We did have one problem with our booking, reception had pre booked our table for the Wednesday evening and provided this to us in letter, but upon our arrival we were advised that it was actually Thursday, turning us away. This was rather disappointing.
The Spa facilities are great, from steam rooms to Jacuzzis and the Turkish bath was open to all, which meant you could use on your own accord without having to pay for a treatment.
during my stay I booked a facial, the treatment lasted approx. 50 mins, and was quite expensive at €80. to be honest this wasn't very enjoyable, and was defiantly not worth this price.
Overall the hotel itself is lovely, with spectacular décor and most importantly very clean, however I do think an improvement is required in order to entertain the guests, rather than having someone playing the same songs on a piano everynight.... zzzzzz
I would return to this resort again, it is close to Belek centre with lots of shops ( mainly selling all the same things), but it has a market on every Saturday which is great for hanbags/jeans etc.
you can catch the tractor train outside the hotel which takes approx. 10mins for as little as 1 euro each. Great value.
In terms of currency, we took both lira & Euro. All shops appear to accept both, we found lira to be a much better rate.
If visiting turkey, a Turkish shave is most defiantly recommended - @ 5 euro, my husband thought this was well worth it.

On our departure day, we requested to keep our room on, the receptionist was very helpful and arranged for us to be transferred to another room which we were able to keep until 10.00pm that evening, this made things a lot easier for our departure.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but not sure we would pay the big money to return.

First visit to above hotel after previously staying at The Voyage (twice),Susesi (twice) and Papillon Zeugma. As with the rest of the hotels in this area it is ideally situated for the golf courses.Food in buffet restaurant was ideal but our party of eight golfers dined in a couple of the a la carte restaurants after a great deal of problem booking, unfortunately the quality and presentation of the food was abysmal (comparing it with both the Voyage and the Susesi).Resort was clean, rooms ideal, service excellent, all in all a pleasant trip.

This was our second visit to Cornelia Diamond (having previously stayed at the also fab Cornelia Deluxe); and I'm pleased to say that they have maintained their standards of quality and customer service. We were hit with a severe storm a couple of days into our stay and the response of their staff to get things back to normal was amazing. The quality of food is great (although I would appreciate the vegetarian food in the buffet being labelled with a "V"!); the service in the A la Carte Restaurants was fantastic and the premium brand drinks and cocktails are wonderful. A special "thank you" to Reception Chief Can Murat TÜRK, the lovely Alexasha in Guest Relations, The Ronnie "Rocket" O'Sullivan lookalike waiter in Sapore(!) and the wonderful bar staff, waiters and animation team (too numerous to mention). All in all exceptional quality and value for money - can't wait to go back next year!

Spent a week at the Cornelia Diamond during October half term and the hotel delivered exactly as required - fab weather, v good rooms, decent amount to do around the hotel and pretty good food choices.
Good, clean, spacious rooms with great wet room bathrooms. Good choice of dining - the number of staff cooking in the servery improved this very much above the dreaded "hot lamp hell" of many a hotel. Kids ate really well, adults would be better trying to book the a la carte restaurants, of which the Asian Tai Pen was great.
Good pools, good beach, plenty of loungers and refreshments. Lot of activities during the day.
Downsides - we could have been anywhere! But we went for a break and not for a cultural experience. For that, go to Istanbul on a separate visit. Reminded us both of Hi Di Hi, but in a very good way: lots of helpers, slightly camp evening entertainment, communal dining hall but NO drunk punch n judy man.
Go for: a relaxing, stress free, by the water holiday. Oh, great WiFi as well.

Just back from our third trip to the Cornelia Diamond with a group of golfing friends.

The hotel is ideally situated for golf with several different courses within easy reach, including its own Faldo 3x9.
Rooms and public areas are stylish, well maintained, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food is excellent and staff are generally friendly and helpful.
Housekeeping staff do a superb job of looking after everything and even had time to leave us towel sculptures on a couple of occasions.

The lovely man who issues beach towels down near the Dome happily taught me several Turkish phrases and patiently corrected my mis-pronunciations.

The hotel is always busy and when dealing with reception staff, it helps to adopt a Robert the Bruce approach; if at first . . . . .

Food in the main restaurant and down at the Dome is wonderful. The quality and range of items on the buffet is fantastic. I have rarely tasted such good salad ingredients.
Even after all the ice-cream, a higher than normal gin-intake and stuffing myself at every meal, I still came home lighter than I arrived!

The only fly in the ointment on this trip was noise at night. I'm embarrassed to say that it was fellow Brits causing most of this and we had several disrupted nights. Our previous trips had been slightly later in the year and noise was not an issue on those occasions.
There was also a strange thumping noise, audible in the bedroom, which began about 4.30pm every day and went on into the small hours. I never managed to find out where it was coming from but anyone with sensitive hearing like mine would find this very unpleasant.

You'll find Turkish people are lovely. If you can manage to say please and thank-you in Turkish, they really appreciate your efforts, even if pronunciation isn't perfect. And please think about leaving tips for all staff; wages in Turkey are not high and a few euros/lira make a difference

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms away from the central area are generally quieter

Just back from this hotel what can I say fantastic. At check in asked if we wanted juice or champagne. The reception desk asked if we would like a free upgrade to a pool room which we took up. The bars restaurants all top class. We ate in the afternoon by the pool of the menu and the chicken kebab was freshly cooked and authentic. The cocktails were fab tried all of them. Ate in the Asian and the Forrest pub a la carte restaurants there in a 10 euro surcharge but well worth it, but the buffet is super so need to go to the a la carte. All in all we had a great holiday and look forward to our return

First thing to say is that I enjoyed my stay here, but....

This is not a 5 star hotel by European standards. As long as you go with the idea in your head that this is a 4 star hotel then you will be fine. I will explain as I go along.

Rooms. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Being in the travel industry I have been in alot of hotels, the rooms are not five star rooms but good 4 star. Bathrooms are well equipped but make sure you do not get the disabled rooms unless you need them. These have a single room for loo, bath and sink while in other standard rooms these are three seperate areas. Beds are very comfortable and you can ask for foam pillows if you prefer.

Food: Standard is excellent but not 5 star. Main dinning room gets a bit repetitive after a while but there is certainly alot of choice and lots of it. Take time to go around the room on first visit and see where everything is. Poolside restuarant is also very good. The standard of food in the A La Carte restaurants is very good but more about that later, seeing booking procedure below....

Staff. This is the only bit about the hotel that is 5 star. The staff are excellent ( apart from the reception man when I arrived but again more later). In general I cannot fault the staff.

Public Areas: Very good. Bars are well stocked, one stays open until all hours. Swimming pool area is very good even if the pool is a little too refreshing. Beach area is also good. Good selection of shops.

Complaint 1. When I arrived at 1.30 pm I was told that my room was not available despite me having requested that it be so and had confirmation from the hotel that it would be. Huffed and puffed as I do and 5 minutes later a room was available. Had shower rather than bath so I changed room within another 5 mins and got one with a bath. So reception man at best was being economical with the truth as there were actually at least 2 rooms available.

Complaint 2. A 5 star hotel would not allow the kind of noise that we experienced in the early hours of the morning. On 2 occasions there were very large groups of Russians ( it would be I suppose) singing very loudly in the outside smoking area at front of hotel at about 1 am. Despite contacting reception nothing was done about it. Perhaps they are afraid of Russians.

A La Carte booking procedure. Remember all reservations are for the next night only. There have been many comments on this on this site so let me add my pennys worth. It is complicated but given that there can be over a 1000 people in the hotel and only about 150 a la carte dinning places there has to be some form of system. We were a party of 8 and we got to dine a la carte every night, so here is how to do it.....

4pm. If you are a golfing group then one restuarant each night ( you are not told in advance which it is) is allocated to you. So be at Guest Relations at 3.55 pm the day before and book as a golfing party. We managed this on 5 out of the 6 nights.

7pm. At 6.55 pm be in your room. Start dialing the a la carte button until you get through. Book what ever restaurant you can. If you spend too much time going through the options trying to decide which restuarant you will be guzumped by someone else. If you are in a party of more than 1 room do this from both rooms. You can always cancel one of the reservations if you both mange to get one. If not sucessful go to Guest Relations at about 7.30 pm and see if there have been any cancellations, we did this once.

8pm. Stand in line from 7.55 pm to book the French Restaurant. This cannot be done at 4pm or at 7pm. This is done on a first come first served basis.

If you play the game right then it can work for you. However if it does not please do not take it out on the poor girls at Guest Relations, its not their fault. The number of people I saw being down right rude to them was far too many. Shouting and screaming at girls being paid the minimum wage is not a solution, if you want to complain ask for the duty manager.

All in all would I go back, definately yes. Turkey is a wonderful country, the people are really friendly, weather is great, golf courses are very good. The hotel is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Avoid front of hotel as it can be noisy late at night. Unless you need them disabled rooms have no b...
