SENTIDO Letoonia Golf Resort
Ranked #36 of 88 Hotels in Belek

Simply put, this hotel is a paradise. All staff seemed conscientious, the hotel was very clean and tidy, and the hotel was true luxury.

There is not much that needs to be said about this hotel, friendly people, loads to do, great food, great scenery, I'd go, you won't be disappointed.

Booked this resort for half term. Have previously stayed All Inclusive in the Caribbean and Canary islands and, for the price, Letoonia is the most outstanding value in terms of facilities and levels of comfort. The criticisms voiced here are ill judged and poorly researched basically, you get what you pay for. If you want nightly choice of A La Carte and Junior Suite standard of rooms it will cost considerably more. The family room we had was perfectly adequate for the 4 of us (2 children aged 14 and 10) with daily replenished mini bar and a balcony overlooking one of the 5 pools. Check in was fine, the staff spoke impeccable english (even though we are a minority visitor) The maids attended daily and even decorated the room with flowers and towel sculptures!
The grounds of the hotel are gorgous and well attended giving a wonderful feel and atmosphere to the resort.
The Food and restuarants are of a very high standard given the high number of guests and the high turnover at meal times. A La Carte is at a premium, you just have to keep asking at Guest Services. However, even in the buffet there is a lot of choice and the barbeque 'theme' nights provided food as good as any 'gourmet' restuarant, there is table service for drinks (the staff are working very hard) so the experience is still very pleasant. The hotel is very popular with other nationalities and the food choices reflect this. Had no problems with queues etc. Recommend the meditteranean for lunch although the children also loved the sandwich bar at the relaxation pool. You can eat and drink (all inclusive) basically 24 hours if you choose. The vitamin bar provides fruit juice drinks and unlimited ice creams. Overall the level of choice within the All Inclusive package is exceptional value expecially when compared to Half Board or Self Catering.

The facilities of the hotel are more than adequate, the Golf Driving Range is a bit limited but it is included as are the watersports and slides etc. The spa is also free for use of the indoor pool, sauna, gym and turkish bath. Have stayed at other AI resorts where you would be charged for using these facilities so again the Letoonia scores well for value.

Entertainment is good and the staff are working hard all day to entertain all ages and provide the nightly shows, all the staff we engaged with were pleasant and helpful.

Cannot criticise the resort but, would offer the following advice to anyone visiting Letoonia (or Turkey) for the first time.
Taxis: are expensive and difficult to arrange returns. For example Belek was 20 euros each way or 2 euros return on the bus. Gloria Golf Club is 10 euros each way and the course backs on to the Letoonia Resort! There is a bus stop outside the main gate of Letoonia (next to the prowling taxi drivers) bus times are not displayed anywhere but once you discover them the buses are the best way to get around. Local markets are well worth visiting.
Golf: The Letoonia resort is surrounded by numerous courses (Gloria, Nick Faldo etc) but in the Autumn they are expensive. Research any package prices on line before travelling.

Airport: Antalya airport is extortionately expensive especially fast food outlets and drinks.

Bugs: The Belek area (now developed into hotels and golf courses) is still basically a large swampland so the bugs and insect life are ever present. The resort does attempt to suppress the bugs but would advise lots of anti insect products. This would be my only negative comment of the holiday however, guess the insects love 30 degree October weather as much as the English do!

Overall an exceptional Holiday, thank you Letoonia!

Room Tip: At Letoonia you have the choice between the Main Hotel Building or the Garden 'villa' style...

This is the first time I have placed my comments on trip advisor, I hope it prevent future families experiencing the same disappointment that we did.
• Booked our holiday through Thomas Cook
• 7 days
• From Friday 26th October - Friday 2nd November 2012
We woke up to be told” the complex was closing down this week and would completely close on Friday, end of season”, our final day.
The consequences of end of season run down –
• All a la carte restaurant’s had closed for evening meals.
• Animation had final show in theatre Sunday night.
• Water sports locked away on Saturday
• Ran out of drinks at the bar such as lemonade, pineapple juice. I was given milk in my “Pina Colada” and told it would taste the same. ..Not.
• Constantly being told “what do you expect, it’s the end of season”.
• High season I would imagine over 2000 guests at the complex, there was only about 50 people during the last week.
• Cushions removed from the beach sunbeds and hammocks.
The animation boys were great; I do believe them when they say the Letoonia is a great complex 99% of the time but the last week is always poor.
The Thomas Cook rep told us to send a letter to head office to make a formal complaint, this we have done.
I am not saying don’t go to the Letoonia in Belek, just do not go during the last week of the season...

We had an enjoyable holiday with two teenage grandchildren. The Hotel was very large which isn't the norm. for us as we usually choose small Hotels. The Food was a bit repetative with not much variety. Hotel room very good with plenty of space and storage.
My husband had tuition in Golf each day which helped him a lot. The downside to the holiday was that when we arrived and had something to eat my Grandaughter had some cake but as she has a nut allergy she became ill. Unfortunately all there cakes seem to have some sort of nut in them. We spoke to the Manager of the restaurant who personally got some cake for my Grandaughter only to find that this also had nuts in it but luckily this was spotted before eating. We took a bus to Anatalya which we found to be ok but rather crowded, plenty of shops and places to eat and drink. We stayed in the garden view rooms which overlooked the adult only pool which was nice and quiet. Overall we enjoyed the holiday, a good experience for my Daughter, Son-in-Law and Grandchildren having never been abroad before.

Room Tip: The Garden View Room was good and there are two adult only pools near.

There were 4 of us on this trip 2 adults & two girls aged 12 & 15 years. Arriving at 3am we were quickly shown to our rooms by very friendly staff and given our cards for the beach towels. It was pretty obvious even in the dark that this place was vast. We were allocated bungalow rooms which were huge, both had a small balcony and were equipped with dressing gowns, slippers, shampoo & shower gel etc also had hairdryer, t.v & mini fridge. Our rooms were cleaned & all towels changed everyday and bed changed every second day.

The pools were great both indoor and outdoor and the indoor facilities are excellent (steam room, jacuzzi, dunk pool sauna etc) and only a 2 minute walk to the hotels own private beach.

You were spoilt for choice on all meals as there were so many different dishes to choose from. Breakfast was yoghurts, fruits, cereals, pastries, pancakes and cooked food to name a few and dinner could be pizza, pasta, roast chicken, turkey, different types of fish along with vegies, chips or potatoes we also had bar b que. We didn't make lunch often as the snack bars were easier for us. Here you can have burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, crepes, pastas, flat beads etc...... The choices were endless (and don't forget the ice cream & cakes).

Entertainment was constant, from archery, bowls & dance lessons for adults to lots of games and competitions for the kids. (there was a kids club & teen club) The hotel has it's own disco starting at 1130 pm. There was also a show every evening at 9.30 pm, we had an enactment of the Lion King, Dances from aroud the world and a Michael Jackson tribute night to name a few. The entertainment team were absolutely fantastic.

Deffo go again, already looking at Letoonia for next year. Everyone in our party had a fantastic time and would recommend it to anyone. We only had one day of bad weather and the rest of the holiday it was about 75-80F. Make sure if you go you try the market on the Saturday as lots of bargains to be had if you barter.

Well done Letoonia :o)

Room Tip: Choose Rooms further away from the bar if you have kids that go to bed early, however outside bar cl...
