“Amazing Holiday - Deffintley will Return”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2011

The Holiday from start to finish was WOW. Arrived early tea time, and was upgraded free of charge from a standard double to a Garden Jacuzzi Suite, which was located at the front of the complex (front which is near the main entrance, but further away from main facilities) it was located above one of the A la carte resturants, room 2307 but no noice at all. It was located over looking the other rooms with jacuzzi's and the swim up suites. We was overlooking our own private pool with plenty of sunbeds, the mini bar is free of charge which is restocked every day,and room service is free of charged which is lovley too. The main resturant is lovley, wide choice of food, can get abit man in the evenings as hotel has alot of mixed guests alot of russians and germans and they tend to be abit pushy and dont care if they walk into you, which can get abit annoying after 2 weeks!!! We tried the Tai Pen a la carte which was fantastic deffintley worth the 10 euro charge, everything was spot on. Pool area was lovley, sunbeds get taken quite early in the morning deffintley got worse the second week, people started coming down from 5.30 we heard!, but there was still sunbeds free most of the day but they either was in the shade or have very little sun. Hotel is spotless, cleaning all the time, sweeping the leaf's etc. Entertainment was fantastic some shows wasnt great, they had alot of acts flown in etc, but they was nice. Staff worked so hard and was very friendly, entertainment and bar staff etc. We travelled as 2 girls alone some of the staff can get abit as i say Pervy, but only very slighly and we could handle this, it deffintley didnt put us off. We booked the Turkish bath and the Lazy day with First Choice rep and this is very good vaule for money. Overall fantastic holiday. Amazing hotel, will be returning hopefully very soon!!!

I will keep this review short and sweet because everything was just fantastic and I will end up repeating myself. We stayed in a swim up room 2409 and this was just brilliant. It was very spacious and clean and I have never seen so many toileteries in my life. The room was in a quiet area to the north of the main hotel (furthest away from the main swimming pools and beach) but looked over at the Hedera restaurant (which served lovely fresh breakfast). It got the sun in the afternoon and was definitely worth the extra money. The mini bar was restocked every day and when we ordered room service it came within 20 mins and was hot.

The staff are extremely courteous and friendly and seem to remember your drinks/food preference. Restaurants had lovely food, a huge choice and it was hot and fresh. We didn't get to see the Gala night but the staff start setting up at 3pm on the day of the gala and clear all the beds by the main swimming pool so they can lay tables and the stage. The preparation looked great and we were very sorry to have missed this. Pools were clean, warm and the slides were fun even for adults. The sea was also warm, clear and although there were some stones on the shoreline, walk a couple of metres in and it was just sand. Entertainment was OK (we never expected Oscar winning performances) but the ents staff work very hard and are able to converse in several languages (English people are definitely in the minority).

All in all we had a wonderful time and would reccomend the Cornelia De Luxe to all our family and friends. We have a habit of never returning to the same hotel but this one may break that cycle!

Room Tip: Swim up rooms are very quiet and spacious

This hotel deserves its 5* status.
It has fantastic swimming pools, Junior suites with their own pools, children's pool and aqua park with three slides. Bowling alley etc.
The hotel is in beautiful gardens and is very spacious.
The All Inclusive basis is good with nice food and plenty of variety. The French, Chinese and
the Italian restaurants are wonderful and are included in the A/I with 6 euro per person charge but are well worth this small price, there are also a Turkish and a Sea food restaurants available. In the grounds are several places to have snacks and bars dotted
around the hotel including the jetty with its own bar.
All in all a really good hotel with pleasant staff and very good food.

Room Tip: Sea view costs extra but is worth it.

Having booked last year because of the high rating and reviews I was concerned after reading some more recent reviews and the drop in rating. I need not have worried - all staff from managers, chefs (for the lovely food) serving staff, domestics, gardners, security ect not only worked hard for the benefit of giving the most wonderful service, beautiful safe grounds, clean rooms and facilities but were so friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Ali for all your thoughtfulness and in turn together with all other staff made this hotel the best we have stayed in - we have stayed in a few!. We look forward to hopefully returning.

all the other reviews will tell you about the good things about this hotel of which there are many...so to save time and effort i'll outline why it gets 4 stars not 5 and stress i'm already planning our return so to me these are all minor gripes which can be fixed.
Be nice to see the Cornelia management responding to their guests comments like many of the other finest hotels do ?

1) air conditioning - we had a family room, upstairs the AC worked, downstairs it didn't, called failities guy turned up = no change
2) pillows - i noticed someone mentioned the beds are too hard, for me it was the pillows, to the point i had neck/back ache after few days - requested some softer ones from reception and got them, bit better...not much
3) breakfast service - took an age to get served juice/coffee in the am due to staff shortages
4) wi-fi - poor qulity reception and slow, worked but lucky if i got 1 bar, also slow = fix would be buy some boosters and upgraded pipe
5) front desk - number of times went to speak them and ask them for help, their response was go to your room and call the relevant people, my view is i'm speaking to them as i don't want to do that
6) kids club - my little boy went bowling with the kdis club, by all accounts he walked off, was found by a member of staff who found us - kids cant eacape the club at mark warner so why here

Room Tip: great place...looking to return
