“Nice but busy and very noisy”
Reviewed 26 June 2011

The main point I want to say about this hotel is it is very noisy. Compare and loud music during most of the day and very very loud music from 9 - midnight everynight. The entertainment is by the pool underneath all the rooms so you cannot get away from it. You really CANNOT relax or sleep before midnight - everynight. I know I should be more of a party animal but i do wish I had of know this as it did affect out holiday quite a lot

hotel is lovely - there is more food than you can shake a stick at, lots of bars, good facilities. pools are lovely and waterslides are brill.
As it is so big it was really busy, people everywhere and lots of families, mostly with children under 10ish. The main restaurant buffet is hectic! We advoided it at all costs and booked the a la carte - although you only have a two hour slot the day before to make the booking and as such some filled before we could get in. The French restaurant is LOVELY.
Also if you can book a late check out with the agent before you leave for Turkey do it - as they will only be able to tell you the day you leave.

We have stayed at Cornelia Deluxe Resort (all inclusive 5 star) with my wife and our 2 children (7 and 4) for a week. The hotel is relatively new and most of the areas of the hotel are well designed and well kept. However, services are far from what a 5 star hotel should offer.

We liked:
- the room: large, extra beds were installed, bath is large and nice etc.
- the facilities: great pools, many chairs to lay down in all areas (grass, beach, next to the pool), nice bars with lots of comfortable sitting etc.

We didn't like:
- service was quite bad, especially in the restaurant. A lot of waiters, but badly trained, unattentive to details, running around a lot but with little efficiency. Some day we were asked 6 times if we want tea/coffee, some other day nobody asked us anything, so we had to go and get our teas, coffees and juices.
- the inside restaurant is like a huge canteen, I felt like on a conveyor belt in a factory. Completely not a 5 star service, maximum 3 star.
- food is not great, especially if you don't eat meat. I only eat fish and sea food, and all these were very low quality, of frozen origins. It's incredible how the resort is on the beach, but wasn't able to get a proper fresh fish not even one single day. There was an a la carte fish restaurant, but we couldn't go because of the kids.
- The only nice dinner was at the BBQ place, but this was obviously meat based, so I had another salad...
- People having meat said it was good and a lot of variety (lamb, beef etc).
- kids entertainment is not great if you don't speak Russian. Most of the tourist do speak Russian, so almost all activities are done by Russian animators.

It is the first time we went to a Turkish all inclusive hotel, so we do not have a benchmark. However, I was many times in Turkey and most of the time enjoyed great service. It is surprising how bad service can be at Cornelia in a country that is such service orientated. In one week I have not seen one tourist putting any tip in the tip boxes. Not surprising at all...

Room Tip: Don't get sea view rooms, you will sleep late.

i will make this short. We were up graded to swimup rooms. The location of the rooms have the wow factor. We have been too many 5 star hotels and this was the best. The service, the staff the food were outstanding. When we booked this hotel it was number one on this site and now number 4. I can assure everyone that this is still number one. Its exceptional. Try it you wont be disapointed

Stayed for one week in swim up suite, very nice indeed, spotlessly clean, with all the nice touches, jaccuzzi, bath robes, slippers and toiletries.Clean sheets, and towels every day. Mini Bar,2 bottles of beer a day as well as sprite, water, orange juice cartons etc. The food was excellent quality, in the main buffett restaurant, so much choice, we also ate in Florian, Tiapen, and Nazar..for breakfast we used the Hedera which was in same location as swim up suites, and at lunchtime we used the Daphne. All of which are superb, staff in all are great, so willing to please. Used the Sauna and Steam room in the spa ( which are free) , again the spa was so clean, and there are lockers to use for free also. The drinks..in all the bars are of the quality we were expecting, and the Celestine Bar is very nice indeed but there never seemed t be anyone in there..
So what about the 'Cons' ...well, on the way in to the hotel, at the beginning of the drive there are some 'garden villas'. these rooms do not have a pool. You have to pass the 'Swim Up Suites' on the way to the main hotel/pools/beach...now as I have said the 'Swim Up' are indeed very nice, and so are the pools that are with them, and there is the problem...so nice that numerous people from the 'Garden Villas' would come early in the morning pitch their towels up on the loungers, go and have their breky..at the Heddera..(another bone of contention as you sometimes had to wait for a table to become available there too!!, due to Garden Room guests) then park themselves up for the day at our lovely swim up area!! There is not a great lot of loungers in this area, so off we would trot, to try and find a couple of loungers on the beach, but..yep you guessed it, we have allready been beaten to it by our foreign counterparts!! off to the main pool area then..great!! having to listen at the annimation guy screaming down a microphone, trying to co-ordinate 'multi national' water volleyball...when I've got a lovely peacefull pool that I can't use. This was our situation for the whole week, and given the struggle we had over sun bed wars, I wouldn't like to think what it would be like in July/Aug. Do we want to get up at 7am to put towels on beds..er no, we don't. We are on holiday!!! So basicly If you are paying a lot more money for 'the swim up' and are expecting exclusive use of the pools that go with them..You could be dissapointed.
There was just one other thing...for two nights of the week there was a disco on the beach...until 04.30am!! with the loudest banging dance music ever, and I mean LOUD. So not much sleep either on those two nights, I went to see the lovely girls at 'Guest Relations' about this..it is nothing to do with the hotel it is an organised dance night that the Cornelia and other hotels are gathering info/complaints about to pass on to the Belek Government , so they are aware of the problem.
So to sum up..would I stay again..no I doubt it, don't get me wrong..it is a very nice hotel, with great staff, food etc..but....well I think you get the picture..hence my 4 star rating

Just arrived back from a stay at Cornelia De Luxe. We had a garden view room which is away from the main hotel area which was good, very peaceful. Rooms were spacious and beds firm. Only 2/3 English tv channels.

On the first day we went out, put everything into the safe, came back later that day to find the safe open and 20 euros missing. We had reported this to the hotel who said this had never happened before, they had checked who had been in our room and it was their policy to search them... They found nothing. Very clever scam!!

Hotel is very spacious, pools are great and the slides are fun, open 10 til 6 every day. Most pools were 150cm deep with water slide pool 110cm deep.

Staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Reception staff were friendly and also the first choice rep. We did go on a 2 trips. We went on the perge and aspendos trip with lunch included.. this was in someone's back garden, very strange experience.

All in all had a good holiday but was very put off with the money that was taken.

When arriving at the hotel we thought WAW! Me and my partner stayed here and all we wanted to do was relax, we r both in our early 20's. The food was AMAZING! Loved the room service we definately took advantage of it :) Also we stayed in a swim up room, the room was fab however we did not make the use of it being a swim up dont think we ever went into our private pool area due to it been shaded. Hotel is spotless . Was hoping for an iron/ironing board in room but didnt have 1 so paid to have our close pressed. It was so easy to do and they brought them back whilst we spent the day in the pool... Wish we stayed for 2 weeks!! Turkish Bath at the spa was amazing, the men were pritty pervey on me and some ON MY BOYFREIND , which made us feel a lil un comfortable, spa was very expensive ,

The Holiday from start to finish was WOW. Arrived early tea time, and was upgraded free of charge from a standard double to a Garden Jacuzzi Suite, which was located at the front of the complex (front which is near the main entrance, but further away from main facilities) it was located above one of the A la carte resturants, room 2307 but no noice at all. It was located over looking the other rooms with jacuzzi's and the swim up suites. We was overlooking our own private pool with plenty of sunbeds, the mini bar is free of charge which is restocked every day,and room service is free of charged which is lovley too. The main resturant is lovley, wide choice of food, can get abit man in the evenings as hotel has alot of mixed guests alot of russians and germans and they tend to be abit pushy and dont care if they walk into you, which can get abit annoying after 2 weeks!!! We tried the Tai Pen a la carte which was fantastic deffintley worth the 10 euro charge, everything was spot on. Pool area was lovley, sunbeds get taken quite early in the morning deffintley got worse the second week, people started coming down from 5.30 we heard!, but there was still sunbeds free most of the day but they either was in the shade or have very little sun. Hotel is spotless, cleaning all the time, sweeping the leaf's etc. Entertainment was fantastic some shows wasnt great, they had alot of acts flown in etc, but they was nice. Staff worked so hard and was very friendly, entertainment and bar staff etc. We travelled as 2 girls alone some of the staff can get abit as i say Pervy, but only very slighly and we could handle this, it deffintley didnt put us off. We booked the Turkish bath and the Lazy day with First Choice rep and this is very good vaule for money. Overall fantastic holiday. Amazing hotel, will be returning hopefully very soon!!!
