“Fabulous from arrival to end”
Reviewed 15 October 2009

My husband and I stayed at the Cornelia Deluxe for our honeymoon. On arrival, we were met by one of the Guest Relations team and informed we were receiving a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, they also booked us in to the a la carte restaurants at this time, in addition, we received champagne, flowers and a fruit basket in our room.

ROOM - our upgraded room was beautiful, very spacious, the lake pool outside was idyllic, the housekeeping staff kept the rooms spotless, the mini bar and toiletries were refilled each day (apart from spirits in the mini bar). If you have mobility problems I would suggest not staying in the junior suites or garden rooms as they are set outside of the main hotel building, they are only a minutes walk but we loved the peacefulness there.

POOLS/BEACH - everywhere in the hotel is very clean, you are given fresh beach towels each morning, the pool area is gorgeous. We always prefer to spend the day on the beach and again, this is very clean, they even had a man whose job appeared to be to keep the sand surface smooth!

FOOD - outstanding! There is a huge choice in the buffet restaurant, both me and my husband commented that you would have to be the world's fussiest eater not to find something that suits you. Each night there was a different meat in the carvery, and they had themed nights so you never felt that you were eating the same thing again and again. The a la cartes were really good too, the food was of an even higher standard. We especially loved the Hedera which is the Mediterranean restaurant. When you go to the a la cartes, they give you wine menus and display prices for wine but if you ask for house wine they will give you it at no extra charge, the house white and red are really good, very easy drinking.

We were fortunate to experience 2 gala nights while we were there, they were certainly a sight to behold, the staff manage to make the hotel pool area look amazing and the chefs cook up the most fantastic food, our only issue was that we needed bigger plates to fit everything on!! We loved the food, so much so, we each gained 7lbs!

DRINK - the all inclusive service really is 24 hours a day. Some of the alcohol is international brands, sometimes you have to ask for these though. The only drinks I found that they didn't include was tia maria and baileys but they did substitutes which tasted almost the same.

ENTERTAINMENT - the entertainment was great, especially the visiting acts but the hotel team did put on a good show too. The gala nights were exceptionally good and we never felt bored in the evening thanks to the nightly show and then live music at the pool bar.

STAFF - All of the staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you, some of them seemed to literally run around after the guests. They were friendly and helpful.

TRIPS - there are a number of trips available, we only did one and in a way it put us off doing any more. We visited Antalya which is a beautiful city and well worth a look but Thomas Cook took us via a jewellery store with very expensive jewellery (I asked the price of a bracelet and was informed 4500 Euro!!), then to a bazaar that clearly only gets custom from people on similar trips and the pedlars completely hound you, then on the way back, they took us to a leather factory which again was ridiculously priced!! Next, year, we'll get a bus there!

We will definately return to this hotel in the future. In all, we had a fabulous time, 2 weeks of sheer indulgent relaxation, just what we wanted, thankyou.

Me, my partner and another couple stayed at the hotel this month and truly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is very modern and the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The pools and restaurants are lovely, i thought the food was great. All the staff are very helpful and kind. We didn't go on the beach as all the chairs were in the shade but there were always chairs around the pools. Would definitely recommend the hotel!

We have just returned yesterday and found it a great experience however a few things we found a bit odd until you're used to it. I know we're in Turkey but don't expect the waiters to know anything but very basic english. Food very good with excellent choice however in daphne restaurant when you order together they serve your food as soon as it's ready individually and not together which we found odd. Also they take your plate away immiediately which feels a bit rushed (talking about in buffet or daphne restaurants here, not a la carte). The first night you are there you cannot use a la carte and can only use the four restaurants once each in a typical 1 week stay. Air con in rooms not great (thought it was just us but other couples room the same). The guy in the on - site clothes store is a bit rude and will sigh heavilly if you dont buy anything ( quite funny as this is exactly what a fellow trip advisor review said would happen). The staff were courteous and friendly, one said the Russians are rude to them and treat them poorly (although we saw no evidence of this ourselves). You must understand the place is generally excellent and don't think twice about booking it as we are already looking to book for next year. We met some nice people and the atmosphere was happy and jovial with the Cornelia animation team providing great entertainment day and night. Once you settle in and know how everything works you can't help but fall in love with the place. Please don't think there are any negatives to it, there aren't. For the price paid I don't believe there is possibly better anywhere in the world!

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said? We have been travelling abroad for nearly 30 years now and I have got to say that this has got to be in our top three favourite hotes (the others being Treetops in Kenya & the Riu hotels in Punta Cana Dominican Republic). Since having our little boy 8 years ago, we have tended to go AI and this is by far the best AI we have ever stayed in. In fact, we have only been back a few days and have booked to go again next year. The staff are just great and made a real fuss of our son. They asked him his name on the first day and remembered it for the rest of the holiday, making the effort to come up to him and shake his hand and share a joke. I know that they probably do this with most of the kids, but it was a really nice touch. The A La Carte restaurants were amazing and the buffet restaurant was great as well. There was even a lady there making fresh sushi! We went for 14 days and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The temperatures averaged 35 degrees and in the second week went up to 46 degrees! The place is spotless, the staff are friendly, the food is great and the effort they make with the entertainment is amazing. I cannot heap enough praise on the place. Go!!

My husband and I spent a delightful week at this hotel in September 2009. We got there late at night and the porters were ready to transport our cases to the room whilst we got a lift on the buggy - a great start!
We had booked a junior swim up room which was just fantasic, the bed was enormous and the bathroom was gorgeous - everywhere was so clean!
when we ventured out the next day we were impressed by the layout and the facilities and the food was really great. We ate a la carte for four evenings which were all equally good, although the food in the main restaurant was also great with a lot of choice.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to chill out and relax - although I know there are excellent golf courses nearby and the town of Belek is a short taxi ride away we didnt really venture out except for a trip to the market on the saturday - however if you go be prepared to barter! Everyone we met were all in agreement that this was one of the best hotels they had ever stayed in - although we hadnt been to Turkey before our neighbours in the room next door had been many times and they thought that this was the best hotel in the region.
