Literally just got back home having spent a week at this hotel with my family (2 adults 3 children 13, 13 and 7). We were worried that travelling so early in the season that we would not have access to all the facilities and that the weather would be a problem. We could not have been more wrong. Great weather all week in mid twentys apart from one windy albeit still sunny day. All the water slides were open and the pools were great, although a little chilly when you first get in. Room was adequate for five although a little more room would have been nice.

The food was excellent all week and there was always something for all to choose from.

Cleanliness was good and can't fault the staff who clearly all work very hard. The entertainment was good during the day if you want to take part. Some of the evening shows needed work but the Lion King show on Friday night was excellent and a highlight of the week.

We also went out a couple of days for a Turkish bath and a day to the market. We all felt that the area didn't live up to other areas we have been to in turkey. The hotel is great but if you like to get out and about I wouldn't recommend this place. Friends of ours visited a couple of hotels in the area and said that they didn't compare to the Paloma. In summary, if you like a great hotel with excellent staff, food and facilities this is the place for you. If you like a picturesque area with places to get out and see then maybe look further afield.

Just got back from this resort. A family of five with a 15-11 and a 5 year old. This resort had something for all five of us. With food and drink available nearly twenty four seven you can do as much or as little as you like. The rooms are good we had two bathrooms and a bedroom . The food is to a good standard.95% % of the staff are very helpful and friendly. Only tip i would give is don't be afraid to ask for something . If they have got it you can have it. We will definitely recommend this hotel.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Was dubious about it being low season and the weather being potentially hit and miss but really was great. The hotel felt full but not crowded so the was a great holiday atmosphere whilst retaining a relaxing feel. We had 5 out of 7 lovely hot days on the beach/ by the pool and the other 2 days were spent with the kids in the indoor pool, at the mini club, drinking hot chocolate in the zomm bar and taking a leisurely walk on the beach.
My children, who are 5 and 2 had the time of their lives and we all found the pools and sea, although cold at first, lovely once we were in ! The palomation team and mini club were fantastic with loads going on and they were so adorable and friendly to the boys... They really do work hard all day every day showcasing a mini disco in the evening too, which the kids loved. Most songs are German but I loved that. the boys knew the actions really well by the end of the hol. Sure beats Gangnam Style and Hey BAby. My eldest even bought a Cd/ DVD of the songs to remind him of his holiday.
Superior room was really big and spacious enough for our family of 4. Balcony small but didn't need it much anyway.
Food was amazing. My husband and I are real "foodies" and found all meals fantastic- salads were second to none and so much choice of meat, everything you could want. The kids ate like Lords too. I would recommend the saffran restaurant near the beach for lunch. Although slightly less choice, much better atmosphere for lunchtime and waitress service for drinks. Really, relaxing and lovely views.
Really couldn't fault this hotel and I like quality.
I just wish we had brought driving licenses so we could've hired a car on the colder days and seen a bit more of the region. Car hire can be done in the hotel and seemed really reasonable.
All in all, a brilliant place to go to escape the horrendous winter we have had, without it being unbearably hot.

but if they did THIS would be it!

Belek itself isn't anything to write home about ......the shopping area is primarily handbag shops and, as with most of Turkey, there are groups of men congregated outside the stores trying to encourage you in. In my view, they would be more likely to achieve sales if they left you alone to browse the goods, instead, most people rush on past trying to avoid the hussling ..... but once you arrive at Paloma Grida Village there's no reason for you to leave!

There are several golf courses close by though, one being the Colin Montgomerie course at the Maxx Royal Hotel and the other the Nick Faldo course.

We visited at the start of the season and, of course, if you are looking for issues you will find them but to us they were so minor thus not worth mention. Here is my personal review:-

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
As with all accommodation there are great, good and not so good rooms - this complex has approximately 450 rooms, including Lake Villas, Family, Superior, Standard & Economy Standard. We had a room overlooking the Lake Villas which was beautiful, but it's worth remembering that everyone likes different things so my idea of a terrific room may not be the same as yours ........... and as there's so much to this Village you'll find you spend very little time in the rooms in any case. The mini-bar is restocked every day with a bottle of Fanta, a bottle of Coke, still and sparkling water and beer.

HOTEL RESTAURANTS
There are around 5 A La Carte restaurants (pre-bookable) as well as the main Paloma Restaurant on site. At time of visit, only one a la carte restaurant was open each week, due to it being very early in the season. However, the Paloma restaurant was excellent and there is also an area set aside for kids who want to eat at their own table .............. there is absolutely everything to eat from rice, pasta, pizza, chips, soup, breads, salad bar, cheese selection, omelette, pancakes, fresh fruit, ice cream ........... the list is endless (though being Turkey there is understandably no pork/bacon available). There is also the SAFRAN restaurant where we only ate lunch, with traditional kebabs and fresh salad/vegetables as well as burgers and chips & the Zumm Bar (which has live bands in season) offers afternoon tea & cakes until 6pm! If you can't find anything you like to eat here then best stay home .....

HOTEL POOLS
The pools are excellent (though a tad cold so early in the year)! There is the main pool, another pool with water flumes/slides, a kids pool, another kids activity pool with slides and a "quiet/relaxation" pool (as well as an indoor pool at the spa). There are lifeguards on duty overseeing all areas and they are extremely vigilant, unfortunately some people think they are there as childminders absolving parental responsibility around water ........... if you want to kick back and relax put the kids into the Mini Club, it's amazing, they'll love it, they'll be safe AND you can have some well deserved "you-time"!

HOTEL CHILDREN & ADULT ENTERTAINMENT
The Mini-Club is like nothing I have ever seen on holiday, there is a terrific inside area and exceptional external area ............ like a playpark and fairground and all included in the price (I'll add photos to review)! The team here GOKHAN and the girls work hard to keep the children happy. On Easter Sunday the hotel staff went all out and decorated the restaurant area, the entertainment team dressed as the Pink Panther, Easter Bunny etc,. and did an Easter Egg Hunt and games around the Village for the children - it was such a success and delighted everyone, adults included! The children (and some adults) were also given complimentary Easter t-shirts! The effort and attention to details was just second to none!

We saw a few evening shows put on by the Animation Team - the energy and talent of this team is obvious to see - the Abba show was fabulous, choreographed by Tonya. Another show was not to our taste (kind of slapstick Kenny Everett style) BUT was absolutely perfect it seemed for the German guests so, as I said, everyone likes different things and full marks to the Animation Team for trying to suit all tastes ............ the only negative from this may be that more effort was put into speaking German for those guests with the British guests slightly left wondering what was going on/being said - we could only hazard a guess until the German guests joined in with actions etc., and then we knew what was being asked of the audience as a whole (but this is a very very minor point)!

There is a gym which is small but the machines are in good order, an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub (chargeable) and spa treatment area (this is expensive compared to treatments outwith the complex BUT you have the security of the complex, professional staff and it's definately worth it for the luxury of the treatment rooms alone - though be prepared, it can feel somewhat intrusive to males and females alike particulary if not used to the intimacy of massage anyway - I am used to massage back home and despite being female, massaged by a female in Turkey, I was still a little taken aback ..............

There is also a Beach Club which is the beach nightclub in season (and is away from the accommodation).

HOTEL STAFF
The staff without exception are a credit to this complex. They were friendly, helpful, energetic and nothing was too much trouble. ONDER at Bar Blanco makes wonderful cocktails and always with a smile. VULKAN (with the bandana) was the leader of the entertainment gang, the beautiful AMELIE & ELENA, TOLGA, EREN, SERHAT etc and nothing was too much trouble for the very professional and friendly Night Manager, AYKUL ................ even when asked to track down some lost but grubby training shoes!

We liked it here so much we came home & checked prices to return Sept/Oct., unfortunately Thomas Cook are close to £3k for two weeks, with a downgraded room and less luggage allowance than we had this time round for one week ........... so, on that basis, we will keep looking BUT if you get the opportunity to holiday at this complex JUMP AT IT ............ you won't be disappointed.

** HAPPY HOLIDAYS **

We were there last week, the opening week of the season and on arrival we were imediately upgraded from a family room to one of the largest in the complex: 2 double rooms with 2 bathrooms and seperate living room with fridge. Only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms then would have been perfect!
Everyone was helpful, the place was spotless (toilets are my bug-bear and they were immaculate all week!), the food was fantastic but the breakfasts were exactly the same every day, The entertainment team did a great job.....How they kept going from dawn to dusk is beyond me...
We had one stormy night when part of the balcony roof had fallen down, we told reception on our way to breakfast and it was fixed by the time we got back.
One last word for 2 of the waiters in the buffet resturant, Murat and Beyazit, were exceptional!!
Would happily return.........

Dear Joanna,

We could not be more thrilled than we are right now in learning your stay at Paloma Grida village and spa was so positive. All of our associates love to make our guests happy in any way they can.
I am glad you enjoyed our spacious 50 sqm wide family room. Unfortunately only Lake Villa room has tea/coffee making facility in the room but we usually sent boiler upon request.(limited with numbers). I would love to hear your suggestions about the breakfast to add or just for a change cause its really a challange to increase variety when it comes to breakfast since we have almost everything. (except bacon ) May be we can add baked beans to breakfast buffet in the future. You can mail your suggestions to aykul.acar@palomagrida.com .

Thank you for your feedback and also mentioning our associates name which makes them proud . We would love for you to stay again for your next trip to Antalya.
