He have just arrived back from this hotel very lovely time with good service. Lacking in variety of food as lunchtime and evening meals very much the same, all very nice but a little repetitive. All bar areas clean and service good. Room was quite small bit clean and quite sufficient for our needs. Daytime and evening entertainment excellent, especially getting the children to be included in the lion king show. Also the thomas cook kids club girls exceptional, couldn't keep thesis away which gave us time to relax. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends but I wouldn't go back myself as there are so many other places to see

When we first arrived on a Thomas Cook package holiday we were a little surprised. Having been to hotels across Turkey you normally walk into an ornate air conditioned reception. The Grida was an open air court yard. Our apartment was off to one side, in the midst of pine tree which housed the loudest Cicades I have ever heard. The family room was large and well furnished but not over cramped. Decor and fixtures of good quality. Once we explored it was clear that the hotel was designed on a village theme and once through the courtyard it was like an Italian street with covered walkways housing bars and shops - at night it felt like you were going out. The food selection in the main restuarant was one of the best we have experience with variety and high quality with plenty of choice and fresh cooked food. During the day people did get up early to reserve sun beds but we found a good spot on the grass area between the pool and the sea which was quieter and gave us more space as the pool areas were busy. The day time food was equally good except the pool side A la Carte which many people would que to get in to and sit in wet swim clothing. We used the main restuarant and the Safran both were excellent. The on site gym was very good. Daytime and evening entertainment good with a love show and in the street they had a band most nights. Several on site shops which were al expensive but good fake gear. All the English people we talked to agreed that on first sight the hotel does not look much but one you settle on it is early good value for money and with excellent quality food an ideal family hotel

Start with good points.... Beautiful hotel in beautiful setting, fantastic facilities especially for kids. The best kids club I have ever seen in nearly 20 years!!! Fabulous al a carte restaurants 3 are inclusive must try Ada Fish restaurant.
Rooms ok but not 5 star, mini bar stocked everyday. Staff work really hard especially animation team who are fabulous and very friendly. Beach is lovely but not the best I've been to.
Bad points.... The cats that linger around at lunchtime be side people feed them and they try and jump up at your table yuk!! Staff ok with this.
Now the pools.... 6 In total and excellent slides and splash areas kids activity with splash bucket. We were only there for one week and for 4 consecutive days one pool was closed for 12 hours due to human faeces!!! On the fourth day within 2 hours, two pools were closed before mid day due to kids crapping in them, both were kids pool which spoilt it for our kids and all had to go in main pool for rest of the day!! The staff are efficient in gettin everyone out the pool and cleaning it but
FOUR days in a row out of our 7 days was ridiculous!!! Well all I can say is at least they have 6 pools cos if they didn't we would have had 4 days without a pool!!! Never in twenty years of holidays abroad have I witnessed pools closed due to this problem and especially in a 5 star hotel!! The management hav signs saying all babies/ toddlers should wear swim nappies but this is not enforced as I had up point out to a lifeguard after one pool was closed that a baby in the main pool was naked!!! Even though
They were fully aware why the toddler pool was closed!!! I think the MANAGEMENT really need to sort this out and check every baby/ toddler has a swim nappy on before entering any pools!!! Apart ftom that we had a fantastic time, just really annoyed that this happened 4 days in a row and twice on the fourth day :(

We stayed here in the first week of the school holidays and had a great time. It is an amazing hotel for kids, the areas for them are first class. We first got allocated room 2023 which was out the main entrance and up a few flights of stairs, we asked to be moved and got room 4214 which was much better. In the middle of the week we hired a cabana for the day which was lovely and relaxing, definitely recommend it. The staff here work very hard, if you are pleasant to them they will be the same. We weren't overly impressed with the entertainment on an evening but have seen worse. Overall we had a great time, I don't think it is quite deserving of it's 5 star rating but would still definitely recommend this hotel to others and would return.

We have just spent a week in this hotel with our 2 children aged 11 and 8. We booked it after a wonderful luxurious week at the sister hotel (Paloma Renaissance) last year. This hotel was fantastic for the kids, had lovely refurbished rooms and better cocktails than the PR but was in no way as luxurious. That said, we had a great week as all parents will understand that if the kids are happy, life is good! A week though was enough for us as the food was becoming a bit repetitive as was the constant music round the pool. But my son was in tears nearly all the way home after saying goodbye to the lovely friends we made and the fantastic girls at the Thomas Cook kids club. I'd recommend this place to anyone with kids aged 12 or under but not to couples or those travelling with much older children.
Now everything in a bit more detail!
Check in.....We arrived about 11pm and check in was not the most welcoming, no drink or advice to where we could eat, and we were just pointed in the right direction to our room which was hard to find in the dark.
Room.....The room itself was lovely, all newly refurbished, a 2 room family room with 2 bathrooms. We had a huge double bed for us in one room, and 2 single sofa beds for the kids in the other, plus a chair bed for anyone with a 3rd child. Really spacious, huge wardrobes in each bedrooms, one with a free digital safe, flat screen TV in each room, tea/coffee making facilities in one and well stocked mini bar in the other. Bathrooms were lovely, both with showers though so might be a problem for families with babies but fine for us. Lots of toiletries, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, cotton wool and shower caps, all replaced as used, slippers in the wardrobes. Each bathroom also had a hairdryer and magnified light up shaving mirror. Only downside was the balcony as we overlooked the hotel powerplant. I did try and get a room with a better view but it seems that all the family rooms are looking out this way as they are on the edge of the resort. This does mean that they are quiet though, away from all the noisy night time entertainment, a little walk to the pool, restaurant etc but a nice walk through the lovely gardens. The Lake villas look beautiful but are much more expensive and also very near the evening entertainment so may be noisy.
Gardens.....These are beautifully kept, very pretty with a few tortoises wandering around if you look hard enough! The smell from the flowers is wonderful and I always love to hear the cicadas in the trees. If you look carefully you may find tortoises and one evening we saw a hedgehog. It's very green, pretty and clean and the room blocks are very attractive buildings, all only 2 or 3 storeys high. No big dominating main building here.
Pools.... There are 3 main pools, all clean, loads of sunbeds but you'll need to be up early to get one where you want it....at 6am about half were taken!
1 - Activity pool.....DJ plays music here all day and the animation team organise a game or aqua aerobics a couple of times a day. No one is pushy though if like us you're not keen on joining in!
2 - Relax pool..... No music but not really relaxing as it is near the kids club, toddlers play area and paddling pools, so tends to be where the families with babies and toddlers hang out!
3 - Slide pool.... Great slides for adults and children, they are far bigger in reality to how they look in the pictures. Well manned with lifeguards and open 5 hours a day, (10-12 and 2-5)
There are 2 paddling pools, one with an octopus slide for young children.
There is also the water tower which is an amazing climbing, slide and play area with tipping buckets and water shooters. This was fantastic for kids of all ages and set in very shallow water.
The toddler splash play is outside the kids club and has sprays and fountains. It's not set in water.
Beach.....Loads of free sunbeds all day. The beach is ok, a bit shingly as you get into the sea but soft sand underfoot for paddling. Not the clearest of water or the smoothest sand but the kids still enjoyed it.
Kids Club..... This is outstanding. My kids used the Thomas Cook club which is set inside the hotels own club. It uses some of the hotel clubs facilities but not all. The TC girls were wonderful, a big thankyou to Yasmine, Fleur, Louise and Chelsey, you made my kids holiday and gave me a lovely bit of peace! My kids went most days to both morning and afternoon sessions which is really unusual for them as at other hotels they've not wanted to try the kids club at all. I think the fact that with TC there is no language barrier and this gave them more confidence to join in. They had water games, arts and crafts, football and other sports, learnt songs and just generally had fun. They went to the movie night there and watched Frozen and also enjoyed the chocolate party. The club has fantastic air con so is lovely and cool. It has a soft play area for age 12 and under, a cinema room with huge beanbags, a computer room, arts and crafts and even a room with toddler beds and cots for those needing a nap. It was a great place for them to stay out of the sun at the hottest part of the day and gave us a chance to have a couple of cocktails in the over 18s beach bar!
Restaurants.... This was the most noticeable place where luxury was lacking. The main buffet is very disorganised and understaffed. The waiters are very friendly and clearly want to give you great service but there are just not enough of them to go round. Some times service was great, other times non-existant. Be prepared to get your own drinks and coffees at some meals. The restaurant is not well designed as the show cooking areas are quite a distance from the rest of the food. Bread for toast, the toaster and butter are in 3 different areas! The food is good but not memorable, hot food is hot, cold well chilled, all cooked well but just not very exciting and no special treats that I would expect in a 5 star resort. Last year we had king prawns, sushi, fresh figs and smoked salmon, there was nothing like this here. But plenty of it and you wouldn't go hungry. There was only one themed night, Chinese, not that impressive, with spaghetti masquerading as noodles! Fruit was a little disappointing as well and we missed a good choice of salad dressings. Bottles of olive oil were put out of various flavours but all with Turkish labels so no one was using them! I must mention the lovely omelette man who wears the most wonderful flowery chefs outfit and is not only happy in his work but makes a lovely omelette too...often a queue but worth waiting for!
Al a carte restaurants.....There is a Turkish, a Chinese, an International, a steak house and a BBQ. All have to be booked by automated phone calls from 9am the day before. We only used the Turkish, the Safran. This was fairly good, nice meze starters but limited choice of main course and dessert. Lovely service though and nice to be waited on for a change. A beautiful setting in the gardens with a sea view. This doubles up as a snack bar and is a great place for lunch.
Patisserie.... This is a lovely little place that does coffee and cake and has a nice outside seating area with swing chairs.
Drinks.....We are not big drinkers so the International branded drinks are never a priority for us but there did seem quite a few on offer....Johnny Walker, Smirnoff, Absolute were a few I noticed. But I loved the cocktails...great Mojitos and Pina coladas...lots of choice and they were happy to make you anything you wanted. All served in huge glasses. Tuborg beer and Heineken in the Zomm Bar. The best bar was the 18+ beach bar, a beautiful setting, peaceful with lovely comfy seating and a nice breeze off the sea...paradise!
Entertainment.....As I mentioned earlier the Animation team arrange games etc through the day and then put on shows in the evening. These are very hit and miss! We enjoyed the Halloween show and heard the Lion King was good but the dance one was very poor and the Miss Paloma well worth avoiding! While we were there, there was no outside entertainment coming in, it was all done by the animation team, a bit disappointing.
There is live music outside the Zomm Bar every night but we found it incredibly loud. There was a white night party and a mojito party at the beach bar on 2 evenings as well as a foam party one afternoon. Not really our thing so I can't really comment.
One evening they put up 5 large bouncy castles in the garden for the kids, right by the over 18s bar, so you can guess where I was while my 2 were happy having a bounce! Great idea!
There is a small fairground with rides open early evening but mainly suitable for younger children.
Air con.....The only place with great air con was the kids club. Rooms have their own controls but its not the most effective system. Zomm Bar and main restaurant also have air con but it is ineffective as the doors are constantly open.
Shops....usual hotel shops, overpriced but handy if you've forgotten something...like I had with the kids swimming goggles!
Spa and gym......The friends we met had a Turkish bath and massage there and said it was great but I never got around to trying it myself.
Tower.... Its well worth climbing the 8 flights of stairs for the view at the top.
All in all we had a great holiday. We met some lovely new friends and our kids had the time of their lives. Would I return?...probably not....but it was fantastic value for money.....a bit cheaper than many other 5 star resorts so I suppose you get what you pay for. But next year I hope to find a compromise with just as much fun for the kids but a bit more luxury for us!
Sorry this has been such a long review but I had a lot to say, thank you for taking the time to read it!

Room Tip: 2 room family rooms are very spacious but don't expect a good view.

We travelled 12-26 July 2015 with family and friends (4 adults and a 14,13, 12 + 11 year old). We were allocated a 2 bed-room, 2 bathroom apartment at the front of the hotel. This suited us as it was away from the hustle and bustle of the main hotel. The room was modern and spacious and the 2 bathrooms was an added bonus. For the 4 of us it was a great size and we never spent too much time there. There was WIFI throughout the whole hotel including the bedrooms which was fab, especially travelling with Teens.

Overall the hotel was great. The food and drinks selection was amazing. The buffet restaurant had a very large selection to choose from and the Steak House and Chinese Ala Carte restaurants were our favourite. The staff on the main were all very good, there were one or two staff who were abrupt and rude, but they were in the minority. Special mention for Sebastian in the Main buffet restaurant (although he would sometime be working in the ala carte restaurants) We think he was a manager or supervisor, however he was excellent. Also a mention for the bar manager in the 18+ Bar, he was our Tom Cruise cocktail maker, they were terrific.

The pools, beach, waterslides, splash park, Teen Lounge were all amazing. We ended up sunbathing at the beach each day on the Jetty as there was a breeze there. The Animation Team are super, they work endlessly to keep the guests happy.

All in all we had a great time. Our only negative was the time you had to get up to secure sunbeds. Sometimes even getting up at 6.45am, all the beds were gone. I think the management should do something to change that. This is the first hotel we have been to in several years where we had to get up that early. We believe towels were being place on sunbeds the night before.

The management team do take feedback from their guests seriously, we did have one minor issue whilst we were there which was resolved immediately and the day after we got a basket of fruit, bottle of red wine (not included in the All-inclusive package) bathrobes and slippers as a gesture of goodwill. so my advise to anyone travelling is to raise concerns directly with the management team.

For those thinking of traveling to the Paloma Grida, ignore the negative reviews on Trip Advisor, the whole team at the Paloma work very hard and we hope to return again in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main street (near the Zomm Bar) as there is live music every night and...

I returned from poloma yesterday and although we had a lovely holiday the hotel isn't a 5 star..
The amenities were great. The bars were well staffed and clean (zomm bar stinks of sick)but sit in the street. resturants were varied but the A'la carte has €15pp surcharge but they are worth it. For a peaceful meal. The staff haven't got that much English but you can get by.
My biggest complaint is the hotel rooms.. We payed £3000 for our holiday and the hotel rooms were only 3star. We were in block 2805 which was small and dark so we asked to be moved cos we needed a bath for our kids so we went to 2603 which had a bath but it was really dated and old.. Our mini bar wasn't topped up everyday but it was ok but disappointing.
It is a lovely hotel but don't expect luxury in the bedrooms..

Room Tip: Block 19 is new the other blocks are dated
