“Currently enjoying a lovely stay”
Reviewed 25 September 2013 via mobile

We are currently in the middle of our one week stay. We are staying at the Golf and Spa hotel, which is lovely. Our room is huge, with a dressing area massive bathroom and bedroom. We are looking over a large building site but it isn't too noisy so it's ok.

Both hotels are very clean. The swimming pools are the cleanest I have ever seen abroad! There's is a large 50m pool which is great for good swimmers. There are lots of pools meaning you can stay away from the main pool where the entertainers are if you wish for a quiet holiday!

We don't normally watch entertainment but there is a large outside theatre and some of the shows have been great so I would recommend going in the evenings. There is also live music in the bars which is good too.

In terms of trips we went on the jeep safari yesterday and would really recommend it (I've done plenty of jeep trips before and this was the best by far!' We haven't ventured out to the towns as apparently you do need a taxi. But there are plenty of different swimming pools and bars on the resort, plus a sand beach.

So far I am very impressed my only gripe is we tried to book one of the a la carte restaurants and have been told there is no space until next week when we are only here for a week so that is no good! It seems silly if only people on a 2 week stay can actually use the other restaurants. It was a year until our wedding day on Monday so my fiancé tried to book one for then, he wasn't sure if she understood or not but she said it was closed - but we saw it open so I went again today and was told they have no room until next week when we are not here!

I would say the staff English is probably not as good as their Russian and German (in fact they try talking to you in German and Russian before trying again in English!) which can cause problems when asking for things but we are in Turkey so I do understand that their English isn't great.

On one last note my fiancé ordered champagne for us and they made the most amazing alligator out of towels for us with flowers!

I would def recommend here and would be happy to come again.

Stayed in room 1411 in main hotel with fantastic views over pools and the beach. Everything about the hotel was amazing sunbeds were always available at whatever time of the day. We spent most of our days on the jetty where there was a lovely breeze and u could climb down the steps straight into the sea. The food was great always a great variety to choose from. The staff were always very polite and friendly and most of them had a good grasp of english. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by Eren the bellboy - what a lovely person he is. The animation team were really amazing always very friendly especially Yassin and Papi (great guys) always plenty of activities going on if you wanted to join in. This was our third trip to this hotel and we have already booked to go back in Sept next year

Room Tip: Book a high floor in main hotel with sea view certainly worth the supplement

I booked this holiday for our wedding anniversary so it was just me and my better half having 7 days away from everything.
We stayed between 7th and 14th September.
Our holiday got off to the worst start ever, on arriving at the airport we found out our flight was delayed by 5 HOURS! but thats another matter.
When we finally got to the hotel check in was quick and was given a bungalow and was told we could get a late night/early morning snack (it was nearly 2am) in the main restaurant.
When we got to our room we liked it straight away, plenty of room for 2 of us (we had a double and a single bed) plenty of space to store our cases, the shower was fantastic best ive had in Turkey and to top it all off the safe was FREE.
After unpacking we ventured down to the 24 hour bar by the main pool and had a few drinks well it would be rude not too haha.
When we woke up that morning we ventured out into the hotel from breakfast and it was busy but thats what you expect in a big hotel also it was the usual food on offer so we wasnt disappointed because we knew what to expect.
After breakfast we wanted to catch some sun and chill and we was shocked to see so many sunbeds available the whole hotel and guests had a laid back approach it made a change from having to get up at 6am to put towels down.
You had a choice of 3 pools on the resort side, the Olympic, kids and the main pool where all the action happens with the animation team.
You could get a bed at any pool and still see the snack bar and the 2 bars so not much walking, perfect for our chilled holiday.
We sunbathed on the beach once also that had plenty of beds and umbrellas available.
The beach was sand not pebbles (not like our holiday in June) the sand was very HOT so be warned!.
We preferred to be by the main pool because we like to watch and take part in some of the games.
The main pool was so so cold it was a shock when we jumped in it took us by supprise, it didnt get warm all day even though it was over 100f every day.
Lunch times we just ate at the snack bars nothing special but you would always find something to eat, pizza, chips, salads etc.
We didnt eat in the a la cartes we just stuck to the main restaurant the food was just the normal turkish hotel food and it was a edible.
Bar service was good, we found it best at the 24 hour bar/pool bar so nothing to grumble about.
The evening entertainment was ok and watchable (we dont normally watch it when we go away).
The animation team worked hard all day and night, some would make the effort to come and talk to you and they even talked me into playing pool games and darts everyday hahaha but as soon as you do 1 the next day they will be after you to play again lol.
Next summer we are looking to bring the family with us so it must of ticked the boxes for us.
Belek hotels are expensive but this hotel cant offer some of things they can but it didnt bother us at all they make up the gap with good service , if you want 5* plus your gonna pay way over a £1000 each, all the staff work hard and are friendly and thats what makes it special.
I have probably forgot loads of things so im sorry but as I said we want to go back next summer with the family.

Room Tip: Bungalows have plenty of space and it was quiet for a good nights sleep.

Just returned from a 12 night stay and although not to disappointed we were not blown away as other posters who have provided reviews. Here are out thoughts on the complex.

Eating, you can use the resort or the golf restaurants at meal times, we used the golf as it was quieter, the food was standard fare for an A.I. was well presented and was on the whole pretty enjoyable. We only used the snack bars on a couple of occasions as the choice was pretty limited, we hade a pizza on the last day late on at the golf snack bar as we were leaving before meal times, this was pretty poor and would advise anyone thinking of doing this on the last day to try one before the last day. A'la cartes, no problem booking although the guest relations lady could do with a personality transplant, she was without doubt the most ignorant person (including all guests) we had the misfortune to come across the whole holiday. The Italian was pretty good but lighting verry poor in areasso you couldnt see what you were eating. The French was a complete waste of money, one waiter serving the whole restaurant and to be honest he was pretty poor, you felt him task for the night was to get you in and out as soon as he could, we had two courses on the table at one time. The mexican, this was pretty good although they did miss out one course, the waiter, yes same waiter as the French. That said we would have struggled with the extra course.

Drinks/bars, really limited in choice especially on the spirit & cocktail side, also diet drinks was limited to diet coke, as one of us as a diabetic this did cause problems in drink selection especially when we were getting served ordinary coke on numerous occasions instead of diet coke ( we had testers for drinks to detect sugar). There seemed to be a total lack of understanding with some of the bar staff that this was a problem, and it did make for some uneasy momemnts when we had to challenge them and get the drinks changed. I can't see why some bar staff had a problem was with this after all if you asked for a beer theey wouldnt have served you a coffee. Pretty disappointing to have this issue all the way through the holiday but its not something we don't have to do on a regular basis in the UK. Another problem is the constant re using of your old glass if it is in front of you, you should always get a fresh glass and not have to ask for one.

Room, we were in a bungalow 2441, the room itself was good enough. The cleaning was pretty poor, not on what was done but what wasnt done which I suspect is standard for the complex. The floors were never moped, if you had a shower and walked to the beds you were virtually sure you would have dirty feet, not to bad but still it was there. there was a small mark in the shower tiles all through the holiday, didn't bother us but was intresting to see if it would ever be cleaned off, it wasn't. Air con was hit and miss, we reported this and they said they would look at it, they might have looked at it but thats all. We couldnt be bothered with all the hassle it intails complaining and trying to get another room, been there before and its can end up worse, however, if you find the aircon not working and it is a problem to you dont unpack and just stand your ground.

Public areas, without doubt the best place we have ever been to for sunbeds! We never had any problem getting somewhere we wanted to lie, there are no notices anywhere asking you not to reserve beds and nobody did. Just a thought, maybe the notices are the problem, as soon as you see one of these you think here we go we need to be out sharp, but never seen a sign and there were very few beds reserved, in fact the only ones reserved were people at breakfast and had just left there towels etc where they were going to base themselves. The pool areas could do with being cleaned more, the tiles were pretty dirty. Hotel areas were clean but the toilets could have been cleaner on occasions.

Spa, we have a turkish, skip pealing & massage , well worth the 30 euros each.

Staff, on the whole they were all pretty polite and obliging with a few exceptions as mentioned.

On the whole it is what we expected from a 4 star resort, Zeynep would like you to think its 5 star but they have a long way to go to get there, that said it could be done. We went on a reduced budget this year and we don't think we overpaid for what we got. Would we go back? If we had the same budget yes we would.

Just back from a weeks stay and had an amazing time. Hotel lovely and clean and the bungalows are great - very spacious. Arrived after 10pm and were greeted with a drink and a light meal which was much appreciated after a long flight. Pool area is very clean and sunbeds/parasols are readily available every day no matter what time. Must give a special mention to the hardworking and friendly waiters who do a great job and also the animation team who are the best I've seen. All in all a great place to stay and will definitely return

Room Tip: Requested a sunny balcony with pool view and got exactly that on the 2nd floor of one of the bungalo...

We stayed here for the first 2 weeks in August and had an amazing time. Last year we had a bungalow and this year we chose the golf hotel, both lovely but did prefer the golf side this year. We chose to eat mostly at the golf hotel as it feels calmer in the main restaurant but we liked the lively atmosphere around the main pool at the resort side and it's right on the beach. Never failed to get a sun bed even at 11am and the hotel was full! The entertainment team are amazing and work hard day and night. The evening entertainment is in the amphitheatre but there is a band/singer in the main pool bar too, and a bar/club on the beach open til 2am. My boys are 11 and 14 and absolutely love this hotel, there really is something for everyone and I wouldn't rule out a 3rd visit for us!!

Room Tip: Golf side rooms are really large and lovely!

Stayed here for 5 nights, wish we had stayed longer! Had the best time. Hotel is beautiful myself and a friend stayed in the resort side in the main building! Could not fault the room at all so clean and air conditioned and cleaned every day to a high standard.

Pool was unbelievable you could get a bed and parasol at any time
Of the day and the animation team are the best i have ever seen. So much to do during the day (or you could do nothing and sunbathe all day with a cocktail)

Food was lovely so much choice. I am a very fussy eater and had no problem finding something i liked every night.

Already looking to book for next year. I never return to the same hotel as i like variety but i will make an exception for this one!
