“Fantastic Hotel, best holiday ever had!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2009

We stayed in the Arcadia Golf Resort in mid of Feb 2009 and have to say this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. When we booked it people said 5* in Turkey is only really 3* so we werent expecting much from this hotel but thankfully they were wrong! The hotel is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. We just wished that we had some more sunshine!! We would love to go back at the height of the season so we could have used the outdoor swimming pools! Our Children loved the kids club and great family entertainment at night. The staff are all great with the kids. This is the best holiday we have ever been on and was great value for money. Only bad bits:- On site supermarket shop a rip off!! If you are going in the winter time expect only to see a few other holidaymakers the rest of the hotel is full of football teams who take over the hotel!!!

What a wonderful resort, excellent staff and superb food.

The overall standard of the resort, staff and food was way beyond our expectations for the price we paid. The amount and quality of the buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner was fantastic and the A la Carte restaurants (only the Chinese and Italian at this time of year) were superb. My one piece of advice would to be polite to the staff and to tip regularly. It was amazing how pleased the staff were when we (including my 8 year old) said a few words of Turkish to them. I don't think they get much thanks from visitors from a couple of other countries!!
The nightly entertainment was handled by the in house animation team and they produced some quite funny sketches, very much Benny Hill'esque.
Childrens Mini club was run every day even though during our last week, our 2 children were the only ones in the resort. I don't think many other places would have done the same.
All of the Guest relations team would bend over backwards to do anything for you.

It was so nice to sit on the beach, in the first week of January, in shorts, with a cold beer, not a cloud in the sky, hot sun and snow capped mountains just to the side.

I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this resort and within a week of us returning to the UK, we had booked Arcadia again for 2 weeks in Dec this year.

i hope you pour yourself a glass of wine sit back ,relax and get into the spirit of what i am about to describe. Flew back last week, hard to believe you can be sitting enjoying the mid day sun having lunch ala fresco one week and scraping the ice of your car the next, but thats scotland for you!
This hotel is an excellent choice for either a family holiday or quiet retreat for a couple,we travelled with our 4 year old daughter and the holiday was a present to my husband for his 40th birthday so for all you golf fanatics this is the place, he thought he had died and gone to heaven.
The hotel itself sits in beautiful gardens and pine woodlands with magnificent pools.i can only imagine the beauty of the place in the summer and the beach bar on the blue med, you walk for miles along the coast.
On arrival we we stunned by the value for money at this time of the year, the food was excellent, I do not think I have ever seen so much choice of fresh salads veg and amazing cheeses around 7 or 8 varieties. If you wanted a turkish meaze you would have a choice of 16 or more starters.the chefs grilled trout sea bass, maceral ,chicken breast, kebabs traditonal koftas, turkey and it on and on and on ,lets not forget the pizza and the roisterrie.
i don't want your mouth to water whilst reading this so we wont mention the seven or eight main dishes and the cake buffets served three tiems a day.
Suffice to say the A la carte was the best restraunts i have eaten in ,in turkey on my seventh visit we truly won a watch here.
the children club was excellent, as was the animation who work tirelessly to please, that is the thing about the turkish people they genuinely work so hard to please and i get so angry when other nationalities can not say please or thank you,us brits seem to have manners where others do not. The staff work hours on the clock that we do not understand and i found them to be friendly and polite despite probably not understanding the scottish dialect.
We have already tried to book for this summer and are awaiting thomas cook to confirm their summer contract, for value for money it is quite unbelievable so please remember this and tip these hard working staff who work so hard to give us everythin g that we want from a holiday. This hotel is a little cracker and i am sure it wont be long before this gem is booked out,.
finally the hotel has a doctor and nurse on site and pool guards

I spent a week in the Limak Arcadia Resort recently and thought I'd put in a good word for anyone thinking of going. This was one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever taken, and I usually find it difficult to unwind. The hotel is an excellent size, comprising both big open spaces for the lobby and lounge area, and also intimate, personal spaces around the bars and shops, and this lets you take what you want from your time there.
Personally I'm not the type of person to go on holiday to make friends and I'd much rather sit and read in the sun or play some sport, and Limak totally accommodated me there. The facilities are great, and the food in particular is very eclectic, with a massive variety laid out for every meal. It's not 5* dining, being more akin to a buffet, although there are restaurants dotted around the complex at which you can make reservations for the evening. Again, the food at these eateries is great.

About the only thing I would complain about is that the gym equipment is a little bit outdated - and in some cases not entirely functioning - but on the other hand I always had the gym to myself, and there are plenty of alternative sports and such to play on site, including the golf of which there is plenty!
The surrounding area is beautiful and has a lot of character, and I love being able to see clear blue sea on one side of the hotel and mountains on the other!
Be aware if you are an English tourist that there were a lot of Russian guests staying at this hotel when I was there, and if you've ever had experience of Russian tourists before you'll know what to expect. Don't expect smiles or 'thankyou's when you hold a door, and don't expect more than 3 of you to fit in the lift!
Finally, I'd just like to make the point that all of the staff I spoke to or had dealings with were very professional and courteous. I can imagine how difficult it is dealing with unreasonable customer expectations, and I imagine that they aren't paid particularly well for the hours they work either, so all in all I was very impressed.

If you're looking for a great place to stay on the coast of Turkey, give the Arcadia a try. I've already recommended it to more than one of my friends, so I recommend it to you also.

A bit late in posting my input as it was summer 2008 we were there, however we had a wonderful time on holiday & wanted to share our experience of the Arcadia with you as it was the perfect resort for our family.

Checking in was fine. The girls in reception were pleasant & very efficient. Most were multi lingual (Turkish, English, Russian & German) and were able to switch easily between languages. The lobby area was clean with plenty of comfortable seating areas dotted about. The break was an all-inclusive one, but we were quite delighted to find out that we didn’t have to wear the traditional ‘all inclusive’ wrist bands!

We had booked two rooms & were accommodated in the main building. Both rooms were well equipped & clean and had great views. Our daughters’ room was fairly small but movement wasn’t restricted. Our room was much larger with plenty of space. The décor in the rooms was good; nice & fresh. There was plenty of storage space and a safe in the cupboard. The air conditioning worked with your room key & it did take a fair bit of time to cool the room down after entering, but it was perfect during the night. The fridge was stocked daily. Ours didn’t function brilliantly, but the drinks were semi cool. We chose not to complain about this. On the subject of complaints/requests - they were dealt with very promptly if you went via the team in Reception. The toilet in our girls’ room wasn’t flushing properly & we wanted additional pillows. Both were dealt with within the 45 mins it took us to have breakfast.

The day after we arrived a bowl of fruit & toweling dressing gowns arrived in each room which was a nice touch.

In Tripadvisor there were many complaints about the staffs’ attitude. Personally I never found a rude one amongst them. They were all extremely efficient & worked very hard. Some of the staff we came across were really friendly including waiters, bar staff & chefs (two of the latter even played a couple of minutes table tennis with one of my daughters on their way through the bar).

The restaurants were fine & the buffet one offered a huge amount of choice as well as good quality food. Our least favourite was the Japanese, but there were no real issues with it. While we were there the Hotel put on one of their Gala Evenings where they set-up for dinner on the football pitch. The place looked amazing, the buffet food selection was great, the entertainment good, the firework display cool and the staff definitely deserved the warm round of applause they received.

The animation team worked so hard, starting early in the morning right through till well after midnight. There is loads to do during the day & something for everyone. I enjoyed the volleyball & tennis. My youngest daughter (14 at the time) never missed an air rifle shooting session, my hubbie played football every evening & my elder daughter tried practically everything going! The evening entertainment is a mixture of animation team sketches & competitions and professional shows. They also have a small disco beside the beach & do foam parties once or twice a week which is good fun.

The Hotel is not far from Belek. We walked there twice & it took about 15 mins. It is a decent town with a good selection of shops & a huge market on certain days.

There were a few people who could spoil the holiday for you, but they were other foreign guests who refused to wait in line for anything, took huge plates of food & left half, had no manners and seemed miserable in general! However the Hotel itself & their staff were great & I would recommend the Arcadia to anyone.

  • Liked — Daytime activities, the entertainment team & the restaurant choice
  • Disliked — Had to get up really early to get a decent sunbed position. Rude tourists.

the hotel and the resort is very good. i love to eat good and i must say that the cooks did well indeed! the stuff is kind and with almost everything i am happy.
the only problem is the internet. the price is 5€ for 1h, and 6 for 2hrs. 24h of wireless internet access is 10€.
the first day i took the 24hr tariff but in 24h was working only 6 hrs approx.
i let them know abt. the problem and they didnt charged me the net but they also were not able to fix the problem. its been a week and the problem still persist and still have 4 days to go.
they tried to fix it. now 10% of all laptops is working and they dont seem to care anymore. this is the most disappointing thing.
i wold not raccomand this hotel to anyone who will need internet access.
