We stayed at the Arcadia for a week in May and I have to say everything about this hotel was spot on. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food and drinks were great and the hotel itself was lovely - very clean grounds and well spread out.

We travelled with two young children and they were very well catered for, from the parks, to the kids pool and kids club (even our shy 3 year old wanted to join in the activities!!)

As everyone comments, the animation team are brilliant. They get the balance right of knowing who wants to join in the activities and who just wants to do their own thing, and as the grounds are so spread out you could include yourself, or remove yourself as much as you want.

The only thing I would comment on is feeding time! For those of you travelling with toddlers, try and take one of the cloth high chair things that you can tie onto a chair if you really need a high chair. The hotel does have a few high chairs, but its a bit of a battle to get one, especially in the main restaurant in the evening!

All in all the hotel is great if you want a fun, relaxing pool & beach holiday. We'll definitely be going back!

A fantastic all inclusive family holiday. Everything was spot on, the accomodation, the service, friendly staff, food, etc, everything I would expect for a relaxing family holiday. The only down point was how expensive it was over there, so be prepared to haggle if you want a bargain. On the whole a dream holiday!.

We chose this hotel because of the great reviews and we also enjoyed our holiday in the Limak, Lara a few years back. Last year we went the Susesi and while a fabulous hotel we felt entertainment was lacking and the animation team, although nice, did'nt have as much choice of activities. We also paid a lot more for the Susesi holiday, so this year wanted something more 'value for money'.

Our arrival was spoilt by the dopey Manchester check in girl, who had no queues and was yacking to her friend, she put the wrong bar code stickers on one of our suitcases and sent it to Greece....Long story short we got it back tuesday morning (got there sunday afternoon) Thanks to Ashley who did his job very well. Also thanks to Jamie Bedwell who offered to help if we had problems.

Our room was lovely with gorgeous views over the pool and sea, plenty big enough and oh the irony, loads of hangers LOL for the clothes we had'nt got....Another thank you goes to Jamie, room wise.

Entertainment and the animation programme, one of the reasons we chose here, was top notch, could'nt fault it. The top bar had a great duo of singers, a great place to chill. Plenty of seats too for the after show entertainment. Another first was people queuing at the bars, staff were very quick and all ran smoothly. I took my own waiter from the UK, known as 'hubby'. There were some branded drinks but we actually prefered the house vodka over the Absolut. We were'nt much for the lobby bar, but its only a minor quibble, it was so nice to sit outside, no need to be in the lobby. You could also get late drinks in the disco and later in the season there is an outside disco that looked great.

The resort is well laid out and of the many hotels we've been, the most sunbeds ever. We liked the lawn areas best, very chilled. There were many children here but they had their own bit so were'nt ever in your face. My teenage daughter loved that she could get wifi at the sunbeds, pool and in our room.

Food was very good but as others have said could be very samey. Guest relations spoke to my husband and explained similar food choices were due to budget as was the air con being on at set times. Bottom line if you want more air con, more food choice, pay more money. We enjoyed the food we had and there is always something even the most fussy would like. Top marks for the battered fish, better than the local chippy! There was also the cake bar and ice creams in the afternoon, no one will go hungry here and the beach fast food bar was very popular.

I think this is a great hotel with a friendly atmosphere, we really enjoyed it.

We travelled to this hotel with Thomas Cook for ten days between 2 May 2010 - 14 May. Two adults and my two sons aged 13 and 8. I really cannot find fault with this hotel. We had a really wonderful time there.
The staff are excellent, really friendly and work incredibly hard from the reception staff to the cleaners and especially the superb animation staff. The animation staff managed to strike just the right balance, getting people to join in the games round the pool but not pestering you when you didnt want to join in.
The location is great with a really nice beach and 3 pools :-kids, quiet and a games pool.

The service in the hotel and restaurants was excellent. As we dont eat meat it can be difficult at times abroad but there was plenty of variety and the Chinese & Italian restaurants which charge a very reasonable 5 euros cover charge for all inclusive guests are excellent.

The place is clean and our room exceeded our expectations as we were expecting a family room with two rooms but the bed in the lounge meant that the children could have a room each. The beds were very very comfortable and the sheets and the room nice and clean.

Its the little touches that made the stay special like the slush-puppy trolley that comes round during the day giving out free iced drinks.

I will certainly return to this hotel as we had a really memorable holiday and I would like to say thanks to all the staff for making our holiday special.

What can I say, well we arrived in the early hours and the staff were fantastic, check in took 5 minutes and the cases were taken to the room. Impressed. Then the phone calls started, they went on and on, you would answer the phone and no-one there. After three days f it I spoke to our rep Ashley and he was fantastic. After meeting the daytime manager a room change was arranged. The phone calls stopped and the room was brill, thanks to Ashley....

Sleeping was hard due to air con not brilliant but the days were fanatastic. All the pools were great and the slides were really helpful to keep the kids occupied. The food was nice but repetative and by the end of the holiday I was sick of eating chicken and veal. Although they were nice. The staff worked non stop and were always polite. The animation tea were briliant especially Edwardo the main guy, he managed to get my husband on stage and it was fantastic, they really know how to entertain. First class entertainment

The hotel overall was brilliant, apart from the rude russian kids who would spit in british kids faces, happened twice and believe me was not happy. The germans need some manors and understand to join the end of a line and not just push in.

The location was ok, but beware walking round Belek was very uncomfortbale for me as there was no women or children on the streets just groups of men. Quite intimidating. This then made us stay on site.

Overall though a very good holiday made ten times better by the friends we made, you know who you are WINCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in this hotel with my parents and my brother and his partner.
This is a lovely hotel but lacking on the minor, yet essential details. We arrived and we shown to our room which was lovely and clean but aircon did not seem to be working correctly, it was cooler with the door open but then we get eaten alive by the mosquito's. When we looked at the welcome pack, thinking of calling the spa and seeing what treatments we could have.... there was no information. A pencil, postcard and writing paper!? There was not even a phone number for reception etc.!!!! Which we fouind a little odd.
What suprised me was the bathroom. we had a large bath but unless you are about 6ft tall you can't get over the side! Also, you are not allowed to put toilet paper down the toilet, but then they give you a bin with no lid which is not really very hygenic.
The room was very nice yet a little dated. But then when my parents showed us their room it was shocking compared to ours. The toilets were filthy, there was dust everywhere. you could not get onto the balcony unless you juggled the chairs about and then it overlooked a building yard with dogs waking you up at 5am! My parents had to complain for 2 days (and we are not moaners!) until they got moved and then were given a beautiful room.
The food is really nice, we ate in all the a la carte's and they are well worth a visit, the BBQ especially! The chinese is also very nice. (i hope you all like chicken too!)
The gardens and pools were beatifully maintained and you could see the care and attention they paid to this. You also get free towels which is brill and there are more than enough sunbeds and unberellas for everyone. And there are also plenty of shaded areas for the fairer skinned too (my partner is a ginger so we needed this!) beach is nice too but we didn't really bother with it.
There are activities that you have to pay for such as the pool table which was 6euro for 1/2 an hour which we felt was a little excessive and the shisha pipes were about 15euro.
The bar staff are very friendly and speak quite good english. You can get drinks pretty much 24hours which was good too. The cake bar was a winner too for my partner and my brother!
we went to the market in belek (stick to your guns when bartering and walk off if they don't!) - well reccomened! And my dad and brother played 4 of the golf courses and loved it, especially the national and the Kaya.
All in all we really enjoyed this holiday but feel that with a few minor improvements it could have been a 10/10 rather than an 8.5/10.

Dear Guests,

Thank you for your honest appraisal of our hotel. Regarding hotel information, we have just prepared and ordered brand new info booklets which will be in all our rooms by the end of this week. The toilet paper issue is the same all over Turkey because the population has outgrown the infrastructure. However, most people ignore this request and use the toilets as they would at home.

The air conditioning system is now working as summer is of course just around the corner. Last week was a particularly warm week for May but temperatures are now back to normal (around the mid-20s). We have a programme which involves spraying regularly to control insects, particularly mosquitoes.

The previous comment below mentions that they did not see any thermometers in the food. We have dedicated staff whose job it is to ensure that food hygiene and temperatures meet all HACCP standards, so food samples are taken before each meal time.

Thanks for reading. We hope to see you back soon in Limak Arcadia.
