We've just returned from two weeks at the Zeugma & its was all you could want from an all inclusive holiday. We have 3 children (aged 6 4 & 2) & normally choose a villa holiday but the children need more entertainment now & believe me its non stop there & our children loved every minute of it. However if you want a quiet time there are plenty of places within the hotel to relax & chill. The staff can't do enough for you, they never stop cleaning, enquiring if you need anything & generally are happy in their work. The food is so lovely be prepared to out on a few pounds. It takes a while to get used to other guests who don't have the same manners as us, but hey ho you just ignore them & get on with it. Our only criticism would be the rooms, we have a family room which is over two floors with two bathrooms which is fantastic but the rooms are looking dated & need an overall. But they were rumours that this is going to happening before 2011, & if you are anything like we were you spend such a short time in the room anyway it isn't a huge issue. If you havent been to The Zeugma..............go you wont be disappointed.

The hotel is well laid out, nicely decorated and mostly clean.
Check-in was great, and guest services catored for our groups' requirements well (we had 6 adults and 4 children, but were assisted in getting into the al-la carte restaurants without any trouble).
I thought the food, was well presented and there was an ample choice at all times (except sea-food night, which limits you if you aren't into sea-food).
The rooms are of a reasonable size and the bathrooms were good (albeit the decorator went crazy with mastic around the bath). However, the entertainment from this and other hotels was loud until around 2am, and housekeeping rounds start at around 8, so you are lucky if you get a full nights sleep.
Service in bars and restaurants was very unreliable. There were one or two indivuduals that wanted to provide a good service, but the majority of waiters and waitresses had an ambivalent, even hostile attitude, which is probably the result of dealing with rude guests for a long time.
Those rude guests are there in abundance. At the risk of sounding xenophobic, Russians have a very different culture to western Europeans. There seems to be an air of superiority / ignorance around them, in their inability to queue, to be polite or even interact on a very basic level (specifically Russian - I found the Kazakhstanis quite friendly). I am sure all Russians are not the same, but when 40% of the guests are from that nation, the cultural effects are clear (it's not often you see Brits, buddying up with Germans, or French being pally with Italians on holiday!).
Evening entertainment was exceptional. Stage productions copied from the West end / Broadway were faithfully reproduced, and cabaret acts were very impressive (although some performances were spoiled a little when neighbouring hotels decided it was firework time).
Daytime entertainment was good, if you want to participate, however, if you just want to kick back and relax, the noise created by the animations team and their open-air disco was just too much (you couldn't hear people talking at some points during the day).
Overall, the holiday was good, but would have been far better if there were controls on queuing at the bars and the daytime music volume was turned down. Also, drinks service in the indoor bar could be far better.
Having spoken with the guest relations manager (Baris), it is clear that there is a desire to make the hotel more appealing to western European guests. I strongly suggest this could be achieved by improving service, reducing music volume and encouraging fair queueing.

Just returned from a fab 11 day holiday at this superb hotel. The reviews from other English travellers below are spot on. It fully met the needs of our two children aged 17 and 11, being lively enough, friendly enough with a super range of food choices. Although quite compact, compared to surrounding hotels, it was relaxing because the staff make you feel very special, there are ample seating areas and the really very good al a carte restaurants (especially the mediterranean) provide the variety which is sometimes lacking in an all inclusive resort. Add to this the cleanliness and facilities in the rooms and quality finishings throughout the hotel and I do not think you could ask for more from this type of holiday. We booked our trips in Belek and saved a lot compared to others on the same trip who booked with their travel company. The jeep safari was gruelling - don't bother - just sat squashed in a 100 year old Suzuki Jeep for 4 hours choking on dust; but the rafting which I did with my 11 year old daughter was brilliant. Fun and exhilarating, there is always a risk with this type of activity but I was reassured by the safety measures we went through at the beginning. Hope you enjoy the stay as much as we did.

From check in, to check out, 14 days later, our stay at the Papillon Zeugma was exceptional. This imposing Hotel is brilliantly run and maintained, the staff in all areas are fantastic, wonderfully lead by Baris Becerik, the Guest Relations Manager, who simply couldn’t do enough to make our stay so memorable.
The Rooms, Public Areas, Bars, Restaurants, Pools, Gardens were cleanliness personified, even the sand on the beach is continuously cleaned and rolled, the attention to detail is never ending.

Our two sons of 15 & 8 were completely bowled over by the place, with almost too much to occupy them, the Animation Teams providing a constant stream of activities and games. The watersports centre on the beach was great with good kit, with free Windsurfing ( as long as you have a certificate of competence) canoes, the dreaded pedaloes and also Water Skiing, Wakeboarding, Parasailing,, Jet Skis etc, which you had to pay for. The beach volley ball was very competitive, the Russians especially taking it very seriously, but they were very funny after the game and it was great way of meeting people, a father and daughter from Siberia told me there was a 80 degree difference in temp between Belek, 40C when we played and minus 40C in their winter!. A short walk up the beach to the sister Aisha Hotel also had a pier which was great for diving and jumping off.

The food was of a very high quality, the main restaurant was a buffet which offered a stupendous selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the choices and the displays were overwhelming and almost an art form, all constantly managed by the various Chefs to ensure everything was top notch, they were justifiably very proud of their work and were very approachable if you were unsure of a particular dish. The Ala Carte restaurants were, if anything, even better, our favourite, The Orchard Room, prided itself on unflustered service of exceptional Mediterranean food, the chocolate soufflé in particular, is a wonderful dish. The Green Garden ( Turkish) , The Turquoise (Fish), The Mexican and the Chinese all provided excellent quality food in lovely locations. In the mornings staff brought round little thirst quenchers and were always on hand to serve whatever drinks you required, in the afternoons started with home made ice cream and finished with fresh doughnuts with chocolate sauce. You could put serious amounts of weight on very quickly indeed!

The evening entertainment in the open air bowl was great fun, even if some of the plot lines were slightly strange, couldn’t remember a baby cropping up in Mama Mia! and Aladdin with songs from West Side Story?. The in house dance troupe were very good and the overall spectacle and lighting was first class and the rendition of the “Club Song” was infectious.

For my family, the one thing above all others which made our stay so memorable were the staff, who are simply outstanding, courteous, efficient and most of all fun, it was a fabulous experience and one I wouldn’t hesitate of recommending to anyone.

This was our third visit to the Papillon Zeugma and it without doubt the best "Beach" Hotel, of this class, that we have visited. We travelled with our two children aged 15 and 11 and stayed in a duplex apartment room with 2 bathrooms and stairs separating the two bedrooms, which was excellent, hugely spacious and cleaned thoroughly every day. The 2 fridges in the apartment were refilled daily with cans of pop, beer, water, biscuits and sweets.
The food in the hotel is of very good quality and you can choose from the vast buffet restaurant, where chefs cook fresh produce out on the veranda or for a more relaxing experience (in my view) you can book into one of the 5 restaurants in the hotel. A coffee shop serving a huge variety of drinks, cakes and sandwiches is also available. There are numerous options for lunch!
I think one of the most outstanding features of the hotel is the staff. From the Managers to the young people who serve or entertain you throughout your stay (animation team). They work so hard and do this with genuine smiles and enthusiasm. The animation team ensured that the children were involved in everything and they really made the holiday for them.
The hotel is situated on the beach with ample sunbeds or you may choose from a range of pools around the hotel. The hotel is on a strip of similar 5* plus hotels and I think it is important to point out that visiting these other hotels, either for a go on their slide or a swim in their pool, is strictly not permitted and security in all these hotels ensure that this does not take place.
Belek town is a short taxi ride up the road but I did not venture out from the hotel as everything you need is catered for on site and the town is not particularly pretty! Although I believe that it is cheaper to book excursions in town than through the hotel.
I have booked other 5* All inclusive hotels in Turkey and although they were good all of the family agree that the extra money we paid for the Papillon Zeugma 5* Ultra All Inclusive was worth every penny and hopefully we wil return again soon.
