“Ants eating rat infront of the door...what else should I say?!?”
Reviewed 24 August 2010

Yes, we were reading the bad reviews here, but they were quite old, and the freshest review wrote qiute positive things, so we thought everything is reconstructed and changed already. We saw also nice pictures about the hotel, we have a 10 years old child, so decided we will go there.
It is a 3star(?!) hotel in a 5star make up!Or may be less...
Nice fauna: we had snail and caterpillar in the bathroom, fighting with mosquitos, dead rat infron of door in the grass for at least 2 days.
Rooms: Neglected. Broken remote controller, missing towels, holey lampshade, aircondition is like a coffe grinder, wrong doorlock on the terrace, we were never sure if it is closed well or not, sometimes no electricity (also in whole building), cleaning is like in a cheap motel somewhere next to highway
Restaurant & Bar: Always!!!!!!Check the glasses, forks, knives, spoons before eating!!!!!It is something disgusting!!!Waiters prepair tables, and without any hasitation they put there the dusty tableware!Have to wait a lot for glasses and cups for tea & coffe.Big variety of meals, quite ordinary and take care what to eat!Me and my husband got sick ,whole night on toalett tour! :-S They have a kind of A La Carte restaurant too, it is directly on the beach, where you have to book a table, can choose meals from menu. The idea is good! But you will never get the meal that you expected!Such a terrible "prosciutto", poor melted meat swimming in some sauce, "spagetti with seafood" that has never seen the sea, "pannacotta" like a concrete, 1 month bodybuilding before needed to cut it...
Services: Hotelstuff can't smile or/and greet, slow services so always long lines by pool bar. They are automaticly talking to you in russian and more of them don't understand a word in english!!!!
Territory, beach and pools: They are ok, but full with russian people who leaves mess everywhere, but they try to clean it continuously. Nice slides for children or playful adults, but the on the stairs to get there you feel like on wc, such an awful smell!!!!!

No, I wouldn't go back!!!

i researched this hotel from various brochures and tried to book at the travel agent (am an expat living in moscow) the agent nearly fell off her seat in surprise and tried to talk me out of it but i insisted and am glad i did - from reading old reviews on this site and her comments i realise this hotel was pretty bad a couple of year ago, but is now transformed and am really sorry its reputation lives on.

Minus wise, yes its quite busy at times and a few of clientele are a bit pushy shall we stay and dont stand in lines we brits are accustomed to, but thats the case all over europe

Eveything else was a plus
Food was good with a huge selection and a couple of restauaranst open at any time one for 'normal food', which i prefer to a different countrys theme each night, one for 'junk' burgers pizza etc, which were all good, also some old ladies cooking doughnuts near the beach was great
Beach was great - always loungers free and i liked the canvas covering where you could sit and not get sun - im quite fair skinned
Pool was big, one of the biggest in this part of turkey, and beautiful plus a mini pool for aqua rides which were great for adults and kids
They have a bar open 24 hours a day for whatever drinks you want free , which most Ai hotels in turkey do not - either they close the bar or start to charge after midnight that alone is a big plus
Room was good recently refurbished and we had a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool, palms and sea
Entertainment was good, and timed so that after dinner you could take a few drinks and go straight there, different shows each night in 3 languages (english russian and turkish)
Indoor pool is good and heated which is not always the case in turkey and fitness centre was passable
Grounds are huge and you can go for a walk in the garden areas

As ive said in other reviews all inclusive and 5 star dont go hand in hand so people who book hotels like this shouldnt assume they will get service like the ritz in london for example (although i found that hotel especially disappointing anyway)

The best thing is that because of its historic reputatuiion you should be bale to pick upa a bargain for cesars and i strongly recommend it

Maka, Georgia
I have just came back from Belek (August 18-31), and spent two weeks with my family, which includes my husband and 4 years old son. The hotel was simply awful; I have spoiled all my vacations because of it. First of all no one told me that it was so high humidity (77%) in Belek this time of the year. Besides humidity the temperature was more that 44C and con did work properly!! OK, let’s start from very beginning, the mail hall with reception – unfriendly people, there is no con in the main hall and other halls, it is impossible to have coffee or drink in cool environment, the only food that was good is coffee from coffee-machine. Family room is simple disaster, not big, dirty carpet, broken table and chair, as well as the doors. As or food, law quality, not enough and all the time queues/lines; besides that many people taking far more than they planned to eat and then just leaving it. The GOOD thing is outdoor pools – clean and nice. The kids club did not work properly; I think that the whole hotel needs new design and totally improvement of the service. Sorry I forgot mosquitoes, flights and ants in the room and restaurants! PLS DO NOT GO! It is simple 2 star hotel with 5 star hotel rate!

I came back yesterday and I have a hard time believing the comments of "azybam" from California to be real. The rooms are falling apart, with stucko on the wall ,doors that let in mosquitoes and a beige carpet that never looks clean , we had to change rooms and even with an upgrade...I cannot even explain. ..This hotel was classified as a 4.5 stars and you have to drink from plastic cups and eat from plastic plates that flies away as soon as you are done with the food. The dinning area is so large that it leaves you with a feeling of being a sort of cattle in a farm queueing for food at the buffet...The staff is overhelm with guesses so they are usually not friendly. The Turkish bath is not really included in the all inclusive price. Anyway there was nothing turkish about this place. Unless you speak Russian you can forget about the animation. As for the all inclusive drinks if you dont like vodka and beer you are in trouble. The quality of the food served was aimed at saving money, cheap food basicaly. Breakfast was the only think I truely like, they had a wide selection of breads and wait, the outside is nice. I sincerly cannot recommend this place.

I stayed here for a week in June '07. My room was fairly newly decorated, large and spacious and everythng worked. However, as the other reviews indicate, thay can be variable - so well worth asking to change rooms if you're unhappy. The hotel's guests were 99% Russian's - mostly families on holiday. They were noticeably less noisey than we Brits, so the pool areas and beach were pleasantly quiet and peaceful. In fact, the outdoor areas are this hotel's strong point - both pools are huge, clean and very inviting. There seemed to be plenty of loungers and the white marble flooring was kept very clean. The grounds are also beautifully kept. There were many interesting areas and activities for children, including water flumes, arcade games and trampolenes. The hotel is only 10 mins walk away from a huge water park called TroyAqua, although there is very little else around, apart from other quite similar large hotel complexes. The restaurant buffet was plentiful although there's something of a scrum for the food at opening times and some of the dishes can run out - due to the huge portions that some of the guests
feel necessary to take, only to be thrown away uneaten at the end of the meal. Western Europeans might find the buffet experience rather more 'in-your-face' than they are used to. We also tried the a-la-carte Turkish outdoor resturant which was fairly good and less rushed than the buffet. Overall, I would say this was a three star hotel, with five star grounds and 2 -3 star dining. Rooms are probably too variable to rate. Value for money depends on how much you manage to book it for - £40pp a night, -all inclusive- seemed reasonable. If you're used to a hotel that caters to UK and other Western Europeans you might find this hotel something of a culture shock.

I reed other review, but i dont know if they have been at the same hotel. The only nice think was outside of the hotel, from where you can make nice photos.

Everything else was terreble. We take a family room (others are the same) which was horrable: everything was broken, paint on the floor, floor was dirty, paint falling of the wall, room smells like something died, ...

Last year we have been to Kervansaray hotel, which was cheeper, but uncomperable beter, good, nice and clean room, much better food.

See photos in real size.
