Like most other tripadvisor contributors, we found the Gloria Serenity to be a great all inclusive hotel. Although nearly full during the time of our visit because of the layout, it never felt overcrowded outside. However breakfast was a bit of a bun fight but at least we could get away from the masses and go outside to eat. The only negative was the a la carte booking system, which was badly organised and we could not understand why they still closed certain restaurants during our stay, when guests were frantically trying to get a booking. Also the Italian and Steakhouse closed at 6pm which seemed crazy when so many guests would have liked to use them in the evening. Perhaps this does not happen in the high season. After 4 days of trying to get a booking and getting nowhere with the relevant staff members, we had a word with the food and beverages manager, who immediately rectified the situation and we were able to book the restaurants of our choice. However we had to sign a disclaimer to state that we would not take any children into the French restaurant (strange as we didnt have any children with us) only to be greeted by numerous children dining in the restaurant. Obviously certain nationalities disregard this rule.
The beach and the sea was a disappointment but the fresh water pool was excellent and never crowded due to it surrounding the premises.
The majority of the staff were very efficient and friendly.
The shows we saw were very professional, well rehearsed and choreographed.
My one suggestion would be that the disco should cater for the more mature guests(possibly on certain nights of the week) rather than the young russians, who during our stay were in the minority rather than the majority. We met many other guests of our age group who thought likewise and would have loved a 70's/80's themed night.
All and in all we have a splendid time and would consider returning in the future.

Stayed 10 days 1121 May all inclusive standard sea view room top 4th floor. I sometimes wonder at people's reviews and even last review said food was not that great as they stayed at same time. When we were there I overheard someone say they thought it was too big a hotel! Surely they did some basis research before they booked? I implore you not to believe anything but the good things as that is the overwhelming percentage on here anyway. Mostly Russians with some english and other euros. If you look at Antalya airport arrivals or departures you can see wwhere everybody in general is coming from to this region. However in summer russians dominate even more, but really this is not a problem as it made for a pleasant atmosphere. I did not experience any bother from anyone. The service is great from both local staff and others partly due to the hotel employing degree students in many service areas as part of their course work so everyone wins as they are keen to do well, and virtually free for the hotel. They mainly come from Ukraine or Russia and if they do not speak enough english for you they fetch someone to converse very quicky. The food in all areas was lovely and the top up with drinks including a good selection of bottled Turkish wines could not be faulted. Sometimes the measures in the nightclub were over top which some would say was a good thing. So my advice is to enjoy this unique brilliant value resort and have the same respect as they offer to you. By the way I found that I paid 60% of others so shop around and try to book early as it was fully booked all the time we were there although you wouldn't know it.

I stayed in the magnificient suite in B section second floor. 1 room + 1 bedroom surrounded by a terrace. One jacuzzi on the terrace and one in bathroom. The suite is on the border of the hotel facing the sea and nature. You get a lot of privacy as it is far away from the center of the hotel. If you want to see the other guests, take the A section suite. Front desk is so helpful. Ladies helped me with my endless demands. But one time staff was late to fill up the jacuzzi even I informed them ahead. Hotel has a big jetty with a lot of sunbeds. There is an arena for shows. Actually the hotel is the sponsor of a famous dance group and they put up a show every week. The food could have been better. As the hotel is perfect, my expectation was high for the dishes too. There is a disco in the hotel but it was lively just one night. There is a car rental in the hotel. I bargained for a Ferrari and got a good discount. Overall, it is top quality.

We stayed at the Gloria serenity 27 april to the 4th may 2010. Couple with a 2 yr old and a 3 yr old. Stayed in a garden villa all inclusive.Paid £2000 just for the hotel through travel republic - thought we deserved a treat after being messed about with the whole "volcano" problem spoiling an egypt planned trip a few weeks earlier. When we arrived all we said was "wow wow wow !!!" the villas are amazing ! Especially when you have 2 young children as they had thier own bedroom seperate from us with 2 big double beds and thier own bathroom. We had the biggest bed I have ever seen (it fit all 4 of us to sleep comfortably ) and a bathroom with large shower and jacuzzi bath - super clean. Downstairs had a big lounge area with dining table and then the outside - well there was a hot tub !!! Need I say more?
The next day we rang room service straight away and asked them to fill the hot tub (you cant do it yourself) the kids couldnt wait to play in it. Later that day we came back and the temperature was 23 degrees and freezing cold, so we played about with the buttons and left it, the next morning, still cold. We phoned reception who said they would send someone - he said to us little by little it will get warmer, and it did ! We got it up to 40 degrees and we were all sat in it at 11pm at night toasty and warm with a beer in hand (us not the kids!) but then the next day it started going cold until it was back at 23 degrees and after that it never got warm again, no matter how many times we called reception we were told the jacuzzis on the garden villas were not fitted with a heater (even though it had been hot previously - the staff ignored this and continued to tell us it did not have a heater) and if you wanted a heated hot tub you needed a pool side villa - which costs 500 euros more per night. So we and the children were extremley disappointed - and in a sense we felt hugely let down , the staff couldnt have cared less and made no effort to put it right. and even the kids wouldnt go near it when it was so cold (it was shaded too so even the sun didnt warm it up) The pools were cold too, they have a small sectioned off bit of the main pool for children - but our kids rarely went in based on how cold it was. The first 4 days of our holiday the hotel had no icecream and we were told if you want ice cream you have to order room service - which we did - but then we would be told repeatably that room service dont have ice cream - and when we persisted they would say ok, and bring us some but by the time they brought it, it would all be melted and quite horrible slush. The room serice is very good - to a point, its all free - within the all inclusive service - but apart from the first night every single time we got room service it was freezing cold by the time it arrived. On the plus sides, the food was fantastic, we were impressed by all the al a carts and restauraunts, the drinks were plentiful, you can have anything you choose. They had trampolines and a beach indoor park for the kids which proved lots of fun - particularily playing on the trampoline at 9pm at night in the dark seeing if you can jump on all 3 in a row (try this its quite a challenge!) We wouldnt normally come to a resort that is seem as "serene" with 2 kids in tow - feeling its unfair on others to hear our kids having a tantrum but we are a bit fed up with having to go to mass market kid friendly hotels and thats why we chose this place. We did feel slightly second class based on the lack of english and the huge amount of beautiful russians clad in louis vuitton! The next door hotel - the gloria golf has kids slides (and lots of fun adult slides too) the evening shows are fab and for the first time ever our 3 yr old danced at the mini disco without being scared (although my husband did have someone come up to him at the bar quite horrified that a mini disco exsisted at all - how simply awful was her comments!) Our children were ignored by most people - guests and staff, the staff would physically remove the place settings at a 4 person table (even though both kids are not in a high chair) and were surprised when we ordered food for them - they wouldnt ask for drinks orders for them and our son was physically shouted at by a russian when he put his arms up to her in the restauraunt (he's 2 ) and she literally swiped him away. All in all, it was nice - very relaxing for us to get away from the stresses of every day and nice for other people to do the cooking and cleaning for us - but I wouldnt go back - because we were not made to feel equal, given that we had 2 kids and were english. I think if you are a couple - it would be perfect for a relaxing break.

This is my seventh visit to Belek, golfing with friends. Have always opted for All Inclusive hotels because it suits a group where you don't need to run a 'kitty' for drinks, food etc. The Gloria Golf Resort never used to have All Inclusive, but have introduced it within the last few years. We booked Gloria Serenity based on the brochure and Trip Advisor reviews and because it was smaller than the likes of Cornelia Diamond, one of our other preferences.
There are many 5* hotels in this golfing mecca but Gloria Serenity is way above the others I have experienced. It is fantastic. The rooms (we had standard, mountain facing) were sheer luxury with queen beds, balcony, sitting area, jacuzzi bath, wet room and toilet cubicle. The hotel layout does not offer a central outside pool where everyone fights for a space and shares the noise of disco music, screaming kids etc etc. An ingenious serious of linked swimming 'canals' allows you to swim leisurely without colliding with anyone else or being dive bombed from the pool side. The beach was ok but there is a pier with sitting areas and bars. A huge amphitheatre hosted nightly shows and the main buffet restaurant had a good choice of fresh food. The A la Carte restaurants offered a good menu and quality food done to your individual preference. This hotel is not particularly kids friendly although there were quite a few younger children around when we were there and the hotel does have a night club, bowling alley, pool tables and games machines to entertain them.
What makes Serenity so fantastic is the quality staff. Friendly and courteous you never felt they were looking for tips - a big downside in other hotels in Belek. Always available and looking to help. You never had to chase the service, it was always there when you wanted it. The Serenity All Inclusive included all local drinks and most imported drinks although the more expensive ones including imported wines attracted a premium. Some of the turkish wines however were quite palatable unlike the disgusting plonk served up at Papilion Ayscha last year. The ever present russian contingent were in evidence at Serenity but not as many as we have seen in other Belek hotels.
The golf courses around the Belek area are real quality. All challenging (even for single figure handicap golfers) and a joy to play. The hotel transfers to Gloria Old and New courses ran every 15 minutes and transfers to the non resort courses organised by our local travel agent were always on time. National and Carya courses in particular are gems although National is less well organised and the locker rooms are very basic compared to the other, more modern clubhouses in the locality.
A great weeks golfing holiday and still a bargain when sized up against Spain and Portugal.

I had heard that Russian tourists dominate the southern Turkish coast and many of my friends told me to expect this. However, I read the reviews on tripadvisor and called my travel agent who said the Gloria Serenity Resort had a good mix of guests and only about half or so at any time would be Russian. This may be true but I found that 50% Russian capacity made it feel like 2/3 of the guests were Russian and most of the staff was either Russian or spoke Russian better than English it appeared. Nothing terrible, but generally I find that Russian children tend to be a bit more out of control and loud (not good for a hotel called serenity) and the bars at night were filled with Russians who were taking more advantage than they should of their all inclusive food and cocktails (mainly the latter). I also found the native Russian staff to have very poor English and be quite rude at times; whereas the Turkish and European staff was top notch.

The hotel itself was at times brilliant but at times less than average. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our villa was serviced expediently and efficient. The food at the buffet was much better than the other all inclusive hotels I have seen, but you did not have the privacy and desire for a nice long meal (felt more like a rich high school cafeteria). The sit-down restaurants were quite good but it was difficult to get a table anywhere, they sold out quickly. The beach and beach bar are really cool- well run.. Although would have been nice on a hot afternoon to get fresh home-made ice cream instead of the commercial pre-packaged ice cream cones.

The shisha or hookah bar was very nice and relaxing.

The villa was a four star international standard hotel (not really 5 star as wallpaper was coming off walls in the second bedroom and the furniture style was from the late 80/early 90s). The master bathroom was nice. One thing is the beds were really hard, to point of being uncomfortable at times..

The SPA was quite good and impressive with its range of services but the quality was not consistent and the prices were outrageous (200 EUR for a facial and 80 EUR for a pedicure). Prices you would expect at a 5 star four seasons, but it was far from that level of service and quality- if the prices were cut by 50% would be ok. Here I found the Russian therapists to be far superior than their local or European counterparts. One annoying thing is that they try to blatantly sell you any product ever made over and over again at outrageous prices (kind of what you would expect at a Turkish bazaar).

It was quite nice overall and if I had to make it to Turkey again, I would come back to this resort. However, for about 20%-30% more one can go to a superb 4 star and possibly 5 star resort in Crete or Rhodes in the spring and that I think is best for this part of the world.

We spent 7 days being spoilt and pampered by the wonderful staff at the Gloria Serenity. Without doubt the best all inclusive resort in the area, excellent resturants, superb spa and lovley setting.
The staff are all very attentive and the management will do everything they can to make the stay special, this was our 2nd visit and the moment we got back we booked to return in September!!
Special thanks to Selim
