Having stayed in Turkey previoulsy I had mixed feelings about going back. My wife and I decided to have a late break in September and stayed at the Calista Luxury Resort. From the moment you arrive you know you have arrived at a 5* hotel. Instead of lining up at reception with passports ready waiting to be allocated to your room, you are instead sat down in a beautiful lobby given a cold drink of your choice and then provided with key cards to your room.
Rooms are stylish and comfortable. The hotel in all areas is kept to a very high standard and very clean
Food was excellent all cooked to a high standard and plenty of choice.
Good choice of named brands of alcohol and pretty much every drink you would wish available at no extra cost. Even Carlsberg on draft and mixers such a Coca Cola used instead of local draft alternatives.
One of the best assets the hotel has is its staff. Every request that you made was dealt with quickly and efficiently and was always met with a friendly smile nothing was ever to much trouble.
Entertainment was good and every night and sometimes in the day there was something going on.
Beautiful beach and surroundings and the pier bar was one of my favourites early afternoon sitting on a lounger having a cool Gin and Tonic watching the sun go down.
The hotel really does cater for all your needs and there is no need to leave the complex. Apart from a couple of Golf courses nearby there is not a great deal to see off the complex but why leave when you have everything you need at the Calista.
I would throughly recommend a visit to the Calista and will be returning hopefully in 2014
Many Thanks to all the staff at the Calista for making my stay fantastic
