“Fantastic Experience”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

Having stayed in Turkey previoulsy I had mixed feelings about going back. My wife and I decided to have a late break in September and stayed at the Calista Luxury Resort. From the moment you arrive you know you have arrived at a 5* hotel. Instead of lining up at reception with passports ready waiting to be allocated to your room, you are instead sat down in a beautiful lobby given a cold drink of your choice and then provided with key cards to your room.

Rooms are stylish and comfortable. The hotel in all areas is kept to a very high standard and very clean

Food was excellent all cooked to a high standard and plenty of choice.

Good choice of named brands of alcohol and pretty much every drink you would wish available at no extra cost. Even Carlsberg on draft and mixers such a Coca Cola used instead of local draft alternatives.

One of the best assets the hotel has is its staff. Every request that you made was dealt with quickly and efficiently and was always met with a friendly smile nothing was ever to much trouble.

Entertainment was good and every night and sometimes in the day there was something going on.

Beautiful beach and surroundings and the pier bar was one of my favourites early afternoon sitting on a lounger having a cool Gin and Tonic watching the sun go down.

The hotel really does cater for all your needs and there is no need to leave the complex. Apart from a couple of Golf courses nearby there is not a great deal to see off the complex but why leave when you have everything you need at the Calista.

I would throughly recommend a visit to the Calista and will be returning hopefully in 2014

Many Thanks to all the staff at the Calista for making my stay fantastic

Thankyou

Mr & Mrs Tyler

Dear Gaz468,

First of all, we would like to say thank you very much for writing such a detailed review about Calista Luxury Resort on Tripadvisor.
Everyone here is pleased that we all exceeded your expectations of us. It is also wonderful to hear that you made full use of our pier, as we are the only hotel in Belek to have a bar on a pier that is open until midnight during the hot months of the year.
We cannot wait to see you again at Calista Luxury Resort.

A lovely hotel. However, we were a party of 8 golfers and the check-in was poor. The rooms had been allocated incorrectly and we were advised to sort it out ourselves - the check-in staff did not want to help - very poor. The rooms allocated were not what we expected especially as we has booked last December and had made several requests to the hotel before we arrived - again very disappointing.

The hotel itself is excellent and apart from check-in, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They dealt with one of our party who had an accident at the pool, very well - thank you.

Our only other criticism is the lunch offerings from the outdoor restaurants where the choices were limited and the quality well below standard. The main restaurant and the a la carte restaurants were excellent..

Overall we enjoyed our stay and will probably book again for next year when we would expect some improvement.

We are pleased that you managed to take full advantage of our pier. We are the only hotel in the area that has a pier with a bar on it that is open untill midnight, weather permitting. We travelled as a family party of 9, my parents, sister and her children aged 8 and 10 yrs, my husband, and children aged 11 and 13 yrs.
We stayed for 11 days from 10th October and had 2
seaview rooms and a 2 storey family room.
When we arrived we were seated in the beautiful lounge area and our drink order was taken whilst we completed the necessary forms. Our luggage was then taken to our rooms so we could enjoy the late night buffet which started at 11.30 pm, great for late arrivals.
Rooms were lovely, very spacious and spotlessly clean. The rooms are quite dark so you may find it
awkward whilst reading,
however I liked the style of the rooms as they felt quite cosy.
In the bathrooms you have mini bottles of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner which are replaced as you use then. In the shower there are shower gel/ shampoo in one and conditioner in units on the wall. You are also supplied with toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor, shaving gel, sewing kit, cotton wool pads and these are replaced too.
The mini bar has coke, diet coke, cold teas, juices, beer, water, chocolate bar, nuts and crisps, again replaced daily.
The main restaurant is large but is split into several sections so you could choose a table in an open but larger area or a smaller intimate area to dine in. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of fresh breads, pancakes, waffles, porridge, rice pudding, pastries, fruits including strawberries, raspberries, cherries, cooked items, yoghurts , cereals and so much more.
Lunch and the evening meal at the main restaurant was just as good.Desserts included a chocolate fountain, various cakes , shot glasses of mousse and several ice cream
flavours.
The main pool was vast but cold which is the norm for this time of year. The heated pool was a great asset and we used it most days. The indoor pool was great but a bit cooler than the outdoor heated pool. The spa was clean and spacious and it was great that children could use it with an adult as it is a family hotel not an adults
only hotel.
The pier was open for the whole of our stay and we used it every day. The bar staff here were fantastic and were lovely to chat to . They were
great with the children and were professional as well as
good fun.We found nearly all of the staff to be helpful, friendly and polite but the pier bar staff and customer relations team stood out like gems.
There is so much more to say
including the slides, coffee shop, pool bars etc but realise the review is already quite long. To sum up the
Calista hotel I would say very clean, spacious grounds, good quality food and
drinks, spacious bedrooms,
good mix of nationalities and friendly staff at all levels
which makes for a relaxing holiday. We would return as a family but most probably in
the summer as we prefer a bit more evening entertainment.
Thank you Calista team for a wonderful holiday in your
stunning hotel.

Dear DBTrav,

First of all, we would like to say thank you for taking the time to write a review about Calista Luxury Resort on Tripadvisor.

It is sad to read that you felt we mistreated your request of rooms. All requests that are sent to us are dealt with utmost importance, and we go through every step to make sure that your requests are met. Our Colleagues did state in the email that you sent in October that we will go out of our way to fulfill your request, however we are unable to guarentee them as the requests are down to the current occupancy levels at that time, which were quite high due to the Turkish Airlines open that was happening in the area. We were also refurbishing a few rooms in that block at the time, especially on the higher floors, to be ready in time for busy period in December with the new year Gala that will be taking place, where we have international award winning Djs & Artists, not forgetting the nationally acclaimed “Blue Note Orchestra” playing away right through the night untill the new year countdown! But we did put the majority of your party on a high floor in the 3rd building, all very close to each other. At the time of your visit, the Garden Restaurant & Turca A’la Snack Restaurant are usually closed, however as the weather was so great we kept them open for a little while longer, for our guests to enjoy.
We thoroughly look forward to welcoming you back to Calista Luxury Resort very soon.

Yours Sincerely,

We stayed already 7 times in Calista, it always feels like coming home. The resort is well maintained, spacious rooms, luxurios but not too xlarge, like some other resorts in the area. That's why it is charming. Food is excellent with a lot of variety. A la carte restaurants are high standard such as French, Asian,Italian,Mexican and top of the bill the Turca. They all offer good service!
We we are just back but already looking forward to our next stay...

Room Tip: We like see view in main building, but if you want more privacy ask for a room in the annex building...

Our award winning kitchen staff are extremely pleased that you found the food excellent. We don’t have a French A’la Carte Restaurant, maybe you were mistaken for our seafood restaurant? I stayed in this hotel for business but wish I was on holiday. First of all the architecture is fantastic. All the public locations are idealy placed. The rooms were fairly big.
The food in main restaurant was high quality. Varity of the food, the taste and the way they present it was quite amazing. They also have Italian and Far East restaurants which you can book. The beach and pier bar was very impressive. Especially the sunset in pier is something to enjoy with a relaxing drink.

Dear HED81,

First of all, Thank you for taking the time to write a short review about Calista Luxury Resort on Tripadvisor.

Our International Gastronomy award winning Kitchen team are thrilled that they exceeded your expectations in the our Main Restaurant Bellum, and also in the A’la Cartes that you mentioned. It is also a delight to hear that you took up the chance to watch the moonlit mediteranean on our long pier, sipping on the beverage of your choice. In the summer months, we have lots of parties in the hotel, one of which is a fashion party on the pier with Beleks finest Djs. Even though you stated that you were on a buisness trip, we would be over the moon if you would come and have a longer holiday here with us and enjoy the glamour of Luxury at Calista Luxury Resort.

My Wife and I have just got back from our holidays after staying at the Calista. We stayed Ten nights . It was the most amazing Hotel or as I would like to say [ PALACE ] .
It has got all you need and more for a perfect holiday, So Modern and Stylish .
Bedrooms Very Large with a very large patio doors combination which lead on onto a large balcony area. We stayed in Pod Six , we did not have a sea or pool view , we over looked manicured garden area ,over the pine trees into the distance was mountain ranges. Very relaxing bedroom with a super comfy extra large bed , great en-suite with marble abundance.
You do not want to stay in the bedroom to long as you need to be outside around the best laid pool area with perfect landscaping around all of this. It look as if the hotel fell into a lush Tropical landscape.
I know I am going on a bit but I am a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due.
A very Cosmopolitan mix of clientele which we loved. All staff very helpful and friendly . It was my wifes birthday while we were there ,so we booked into La Carna for an A la carte meal, We received Champagne Flowers and A cake Laid on by guest relations, a lovely evening we had. All staff work so hard to make your stay perfect.
Lobby area great place to be with comfy seating all around. Lobby area has two wine bar areas White bar and Black bar, these are very relaxing . Entertainment while we were there consisted of a band in lobby area who played Smooth Jazz Flavours Cool. A loud singing and dancing Band would not work in this area. Bars shut at twelve in this area. If you want another drink you can go down to Another area next floor down where there are other bars take your pick here , music stops here at twelve also , so no noise can flow up to sleeping residents.
There are six A La Carte restaurants . All Spirit's are Well known makes and beers.
Bellumn Restaurant is the main Buffet type. Heaven on Earth say no more.
A short walk from pool area is the Private beach with an amazing Pier Bar, Enjoy a drink then jump off the pier for a swim if you like .
On the beach there is also a water sports area.
I asked for a meeting with the general Manager , To commend him on what an amazing hotel he has , and shake his hand.
Total value for money to be in such Luxury.
I Recommend any one to come here , we are going to book again for next year, we can be very fussy about things { BUT NOT HERE} .
Thank you to all.

My wife and I with our 4 years old twins stayed for one weeks at this luxury, all inclusive hotel with another couple. The complex however is big enough for everyone to find their own space and the young children were never a problem to us older mature guests. Holiday makers there were a real cosmopolitan mix with North Europeans, Russians and Turks. The modern hotel is excellent and we were pleased with the spacious accommodation of our room which had good air conditioning which can be individually controlled. The staff were attentive and pleasant and most spoke enough English to make themselves understood. It is quite a big hotel complex with several swimming pools, has its'own beach , several restaurants and standards are high,Friendly staff, great food, lovely bars,I was also impressed by animation team,The deep bar was very amazing with a nice outdoor atmosphere and good professional dancers!I recommend this hotel to couples and families.
