I stayed at the hotel together with my friends for business. I was in many hotels before but rooms and service like this I didn't see it anywhere else. Especially the Italian restaurant is super ! And the staff has got a smiling face. I want to thank all the staff of Calista ! I'll be back !

Having stayed in many (over 15) resorts and clubs in Antalya, I rate Calista the best. The service and willingness of the staff make this hotel a pleasure. The atmosphere at the club is understated and allows everyone to move along at their own pace, whether taking part in sporting activities or spending days lazing around the pool or beach. This is not a place for the hyperactive who need to be entertained 24/7 as while there are many activities, they are not thrown at you constantly like at other club hotels. The food selection is good, as is the included drink selection. We ate at the Italian and Turkish restaurants and had pleasant meals at both. The hotel attracts an up market clientele and this could be seen at meal times where we were not subject to jostling and other boorish behaviour like over filling of plates prevalent in other places. Comfortable rooms and a very pleasant place to relax for a few days.

Just got back from 1 week vacation (from 29 March - 05 April 2010) in Calista Resort with my husband and 2.5 years old daughter. I enjoyed every minute of it!!!

Let's start from the beginning.

The check in took about 20 minutes (we came quite early - around 10 am). While waiting in the lobby, drinks were served (both soft, hot and alcohol). Most front desk representatives spoke English well. Those who didn't, understood simple sentences. My advice - don't use complicated words. Make 3-4 word sentences!!

We had a standard room - beautifully designed and very clean. Lots of mirrors, twin bed, LCD tv, sofa, table, drawers, night stands and very big closet (designed for two people, and not just for 1 like in most hotels!).

The bathroom had both bathtub and shower (seperately). This was fantastic, because my husband likes to take showers and I prefer sitting in the bathtub for quite a while. We could both enjoy the bathroom, simultaneously! :)

The minibar was also a part of all-included, contained soft drinks and beer. During the day (around 2 pm) someone would come in to check on the mini bar and see if it needs to be filled in. (In case you don't want to be disturbed, don't forget to put the sign on the door. The mini bar is checked seperately from the cleaning hours).

The quality and the quantity of food was absolutely impressive - both turkish an international variations. Apart from the main restaurant which surved breakfast, late breakfast (!!!), lunch, dinner and late dinner, there was also cofee shops where you could get cakes and all kind of buns, snack pool restaurant (turca), which surved great dishes during lunch hours (frilled fish, lamp, chicken, soup of the day (asparagus soup was amazing), pizza, salads, cakes and icecream).

We didn't go to any off-package restaurants since there was enough food as it is!!!! However, ther is japanese, italian and turkish restaurant available to the guests. I don't know about the prices and cannot recommend any of these options.

Drinks were served through out the day in almost every corner of the hotel. Wide variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Despite that, none of the guests, at least during this off season period, was getting drunk.

The indoor pool is big enough and has warm water. There is a round baby pool, big deep pool and jacuzi area. Right next to the pool, there is a gym (towels, water and another cofee shop right there. There is also a huge changing room with toilets, showers and lockers.

Sauna contains steam room and dry room. There is also turkish bath room HAMAM available to everyone. Both sauna area and turkish bath area have relaxation halls with sofas, candles, flowers, deam light and medidation music. Absolutely relaxing.

During our stay the "empty" hours were from the morning until about 4pm. You would be all alone with the sauna! At 5pm the place will become slightly crowded.

I didn't go to any of the spa facilities, but there are all kind of skin and body care. Each massage costs about 39 + euro.

Entertainment was alright. There is a jazz bar with live music almost every night. During our stay there was 1 night of karaoke (that was very entertaining!!!). The bar opens from 9 pm - starts with mini disco for children. For about 15 minutes, there is a dance routine for your kids. My girl really liked the whole idea and looked forward to this dancing every night!

At 9:30 live band would start playing and singing. PR girls would dance and lure others to participate. At the end of the evening, many would join in. Families with children stayed till the end. Kids would dance also - great way to spend an evening even for those with small babies.

Speaking of babies, there is a baby club with toys and daily activities. Next to it, there is a baby playground with plastic slides and houses. Across, there is a kids playground with larger slides, swings, marry-go-round and see-saw.

Babysitters are available throughout the day for small kids (older kids can just go to the club and spend the day there). We paid 20 euro per hour (once, for 3 hours) - and went to disco.

Disco club is nicely decorated - lots of space to dance. The DJ wasn't very good though, however, once on holiday you dont really care about the quality of the music, i guess. I danced to whatever was on! LOL!

Since our holiday was during the off-season, there were no shows. I am sure that in summer there are lots of interesting things to see.

There was also cinema every evening with latest movies. The game room is not for free -snooker, bowling and other games were available (didn't do any of those either).

In the morning, we played tennis or ping-pong. There are 4 courts, free equipment. There is also basketball court and beach voleyball court.

For those who likes to exercise, there were daily morning exercises, steps and water exercises (loved it!)

The big water slides were open from 10am- 12am and from 14pm-16pm. The first days of our vacation, it was way too cold to slide (the only outside pool with warm water was in the other corner of the hotel). But the last two days were hot enough to try out the sides - great time!

The staff is friendly and helpful. Once again, not everyone speaks english, but with enough efford, both sides reach understanding! If you want to receive awesome service, give tips. I was giving 5-10 turkish lira to waiters and felt the difference! We would have favorite waiter in every bar/restaurant and would always give him/her tips. Once they know that they get tips, the service is fast and good. You get another drink before you even finish your current one. They remember what you like, what you dont like and so on.

Did I mention that the internet was for free too? If you take a laptop, you can browse the net from your room free of charge. You can also use the lobby internet room or rent a laptop (5 euro for 1 hour or 25 euro for the whole day).

You can also rent a baby stroller (very useful with small babies) and dvd player.

Outside Pool area is huge - lots of beds and a bar in the middle. There is also a baby pool area (wasn't open during our stay) and olympic (half) pool.

The only thing that I would definitely wish for (for off-season) is warm pools everywhere. The first couple of days were a bit cold and the only outside pool is a bit small. The inside pool was also available, but you don't really want to be inside. The weather was great, the sun was shinning and it was already quite warm, but the water in most pools was way too cold for swimming...

Overall, I am very impressed with this hotel and I definitely want to go back in summer and see it in full force!

Having been to most of the top 10 resorts in Turkey, I can assert with confidence that Calista is the best of the best. Its standard rooms look like suits and are more beautiful than the rooms in Mardan Palace. The food, service, entertainment, and the staff are an example of perfection in this business. We spent one week there with my family as well as my girlfriend (a group of 7 people) and everyone totally loved it. It is the only place I will go back again and again and is the only place I will recommend to anyone without any reservations. Perfect for lovers and honey-mooners as the architecture, decoration as well as the rooms are most romantic, elegant, and awe-inspiring. Just perfect.
