A group of 12 Golfers recently visited Sueno Hotels Golf in Balek, Turkey. For the majority of the group this was either their 2nd or 3rd visit. it was my 3rd trip to this Hotel. The Hotel, food, service and condition of the 2 golf courses have always been outstanding but this year there were a couple of things that slightly spoiled the trip for me. Firstly, the air conditioning in the rooms was controlled centrally and was set to 24 degrees which is far too high for my liking, because of this i didn't sleep very well. Secondly there was a severe lack of golf buggies which meant we couldn't book them so the only way to guarantee the use of buggies was to play very early in the morning or mid afternoon. That aside, i would recommend this Hotel as the facilities are excellent

Room Tip: Ask for a view overlooking the golf courses

Just back from a week at Sueno and we are determined to go again. This was our fourth visit to Belek for golf but our first at Sueno, which we booked because it is a smaller hotel than is usual in the area and because it has two golf courses on site.

Room: clean and spacious with a good-sized balcony, minibar (could have been colder), effective aircon and a kettle. Worth paying extra for a spectacular view over the golf courses.

Food: very well-prepared, tasty and plentiful buffet fare, though short on protein choices, perhaps to lower the hotel's overall costs. When we first visited Belek about 10 years ago, all the hotels seemed to offer piles of seafood (freshly grilled prawns, calamari. etc) plus plenty of steak and lamb chops off the grill. Not this time: meatballs were ubiquitous and there was always at least one chicken dish on offer, plus grilled fish, but that was about it. I feel pretty certain, though, that this state of affairs applies to all the hotels in the area (they work to a similar food and beverage standard) and is not just a factor at Sueno. Times are tough in the hospitality game, rack rates have had to be lowered and costs controlled accordingly. Even without chops and prawns. the food was unfailingly delicious.

Pool: A very small pool area for the number of guests at the hotel, which means it's hard to find a private niche away from screaming tiny tots. Not a big problem if you're golfer, but still something to bear in mind.

Beach: Oh dear. A private segment of a highly developed strip. Again, not a problem for golfers, but there are far nicer, far more unspoilt beaches a little further up the coast.

Golf: Ah! Two brilliant courses, both superbly maintained. Pines is longer, with more open fairways, but the real treat for us was Dunes, which demands absolute precision to avoid trouble. On previous trips to Belek, Sultan was our favourite course by far. Both Pines and Dunes, in our view, top Sultan easily.

Service: efficient, very helpful staff in all the hotel's public areas, plus wonderful course marshalls.

Value: we were on an all-inclusive deal, and the value we got for our money was simply outstanding.

Oddities: Once a week, the buffet and a la carte restaurants close for dinner and everyone decamps to the beach or hotel terrace (the venue apparently alternates) for a "gala dinner" with staged entertainment. Guests are asked to reserve seats at tables set for 10. The food at our gala dinner was superb (all stops were pulled out and both steak and seafood were on offer), but enforced dinner-time congeniality with perfect strangers is not ideal if what you're really after is some quality, private time with your partner and/or family. We also discovered that the hotel has an "animation" team, whose members are required to eat their dinner nightly with (unsuspecting) hotel guests whose table happens to have a seat free!

A Party of 8 of us from Chester Golf Club were on our 4th visit..The hotel facilities were very good again..The staff are warm and friendly and very helpful..The food was very good and plenty of it,drinks likewise.
The only downside to our Golfing holiday was that we had to be up very early to get a buggy..As it was we were able to get them as our tee times were early, but there was a lot of golfers unable to buggies..
The courses were in good condition..The Dunes more so than the Pines, though both are a challenge..

We visited Sueno golf hotel Belek in May with a group of four friends having first gone there last year, and from our description and stories got them interested in coming back with us this year.
My concern was that second time around the rose tinted glasses may fall off and our friends would not have been as impressed as we were.
That could not have been further from the truth, they absolutely loved everything about the place. From the organisational point of view, everything was spot on, our transfer was about 35 minutes (Noyan Golf) and the service from the hotel staff was excellent, from the waiters and bar staff to room maids and management, nothing seemed to much of a problem which is more than can be said for some places we have stayed.
We went all inclusive and i would suggest that this is definitely the way to visit as you know your costs from day one apart from a few incidentals (golf trolleys and 1 euro each way on the local bus for a visit to Kadriye, the local town (smaller than Belek) which is well worth a visit for a bit of retail therapy where bartering is a way of life!) The rooms were very good and spacious (we had standard this time) clean and had everything you could want, tea and coffee, ironing board etc (welcome fruit basket on arrival with a bottle of wine)and are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness.

Regarding the food, choice and quality was excellent and there was something for everyone, hot and cold dishes buffet style with an outside separate grill area giving more choice, with the dining times suitable and long enough, allowing time to fit in eating around your day rather than the other way around .
The ladies with us were partial to their salads and they were not disappointed both with choice or quality.
Their is an al a carte area which you can pay extra for on a nightly basis or one off however the standard of food and choice of all inclusive makes this an unnecessary extra cost.

Drinks, all inclusive means everyone "wants to get a round in" and again the quality and service were second to none (not just local drinks free) with the bar staff ever attentive in ensuring your stay was enjoyable and relaxing.

Next the golf, the reason that we went in the first place, two great 18 hole golf courses of very different challenges, the dunes with its rolling fairways and tricky "plot your way around" type of course and the pines which is a longer more challenging course with more water hazards.
our golf handicaps ranged from 17 to 33 and all of us found the courses challenging but not too intimidating which can be demoralizing sometimes, all came back better golfers having played there.
Both courses are at the hotel with the first tee's being no further than 100 meters each from the secure club storage room which is racked and below the pro shop with wide stairs and/or lift for access to it.
This alone was great as our friends had previously stayed at another local hotel where you had to catch a courtesy bus to get to the golf course which could turn into a bit of a bun fight, his words not mine, so being able to stroll to the tee's was advantageous and relaxing.
Each course had a starter and marshals who politely controle the pace of play and ensured all had free bottles of water and fruit which we were all grateful for.

Practice facilities are superb with a good driving range, putting and chipping greens although I agree with other comments that they needed more buggies as we did hear several people trying to book (on the day) however were disappointed as there were none left, however this did not affect us (all between 50 and 65 and not particularly fit) as we like to walk, and because the courses were never over booked we generally kept up a good pace of play walking which enabled us to take in the views and local wild life (wild tortoise) without causing slow play.
We did have a minor issue one day with confusion over which course was booked with the pro shop, which was dealt with superbly by the pro shop manager Ms Ozlem Caniitez and Ms Asu Tekipek customer service manager, promptly and in a professional way to our satisfaction which is why i felt in necessary to mention them individually as often we criticize as holiday customers however rarely commend excellent service.

The hotel has its own beach area which is about a 3-5 minute stroll on hotel grounds or a courtesy 10 seat golf buggy which goes back and forth all day, on the beach (fantastic beach) there are sun loungers and a board walk area into the sea, also a grill with bar area which again is all free if all inclusive.
There are push bikes at the beach which 3 of our friends asked to hire only to be told they were free to hotel residents and a guide would take them around the golf course perimeter which they duly did and thoroughly enjoyed twice!!

There are swimming pools and a wellness area (which could be a tad cheaper and thus more busy) to smooth away any ache's and pains
We booked with Your golf travel who i have used several times now and have found them to be very price competitive with excellent during and after sales service, again my thanks to Lee Q at YGT for his help and advice in booking our holiday and look forward to our next get away.

Overall if you are looking to go on an all inclusive golf holiday where the golf, food, service, accomodation and non golf activity's are excellent you would be hard pushed to find anywhere better than the Sueno golf hotel Belek for the price .

We go away several times a year for both long weekends and week long golfing breaks and will be revisiting the Sueno next year if not before.

My first visit although my partner's second visit as part of a golf party of 12. Hotel staff friendly and reasonably well organised. Fully inclusive meant all meals and drinks all day. Buffet meals had massive choice and were excellent. Problems with buggies and bookings every day which seemed frustrating both for our group but also many other guests. Promised golf course view rooms did not materialise and had to be negotiated with manager. Air conditioning in rooms was problematical for all the party. It appeared that the hotel switched it off in the middle of the night possibly to save money. One night was buffet night down at the beach area for all the guests. It was well organised with a band and dancers, except for ubiquitous belly dancing. Beach area is a short 10 minute walk or a buggy ride for the lazy with bar areas, a pier and children's area. The guests seemed to be either Russian or British. Will we go again? Probably not. Was it fun and good value? Yes.

Room Tip: Ask for golf course view or you will be overlooking front of hotel. Higher floors - 5th and above ar...

I made my third visit to Sueno early June this year with eleven other golfers. I have to say that the food quality and selection has improved vastly since my last visit in 2011 and for value maybe it can't be beaten.
However last year we went to the Sirene and played the Pasha and Sultan courses and I have to say that hotel and its courses put the Sueno to shame.
Beds at Sueno are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in, couple that with air-con that keeps the room at 24 degrees and you don't get much sleep.
Not that you'll be laying in long because if you want golf buggies you're getting up early.
We played seven rounds and had to play at 6.50am or 2pm. Nice!
This hotel has a serious problem with a lack of buggies and they won't acknowledge it.
Rooms are clean and facilities are ok, but there's little to do except lay in the sun drinking after your round.
Much as I've enjoyed my visits to Sueno, I shall not be going again. There is much much better out there.

Rooms very good, service very good, food very good and terrific value for money. I organised a golfing group of a dozen people and spent all of my spare time trying to organise buggies. The number of buggies available is totally inadequate for the needs of golfers unless you are young and fit.
Our first golf trip to Turkey after many years in Spain and we will be returning next year but not to this hotel unless they get the buggy situation sorted.
