This was the second stay at this resort. Having visited many hotels in the area, Sueno is much smaller and like all resorts has its advantages & disadvantages. It's the only hotel sited on the golf course, and this is a definite plus point. The two courses are generally in excellent condition, but have to say the condition of the tees was very poor & tired, but the res t very good. The Dunes is the shorter of the two courses, and I!m really not keen. The holes range from ridiculously short to ridiculously difficult, I,m not sure who they suit, but the Pines course, although 7000 yards from the back tees, is a much fairer and better test of golf.
Earlier reviews had commented on a shortage of buggies, and although we managed to get a buggy every day, on one occasion we had to wait for someone to finish, and on another the battery run out after 15 holes. Maybe if the staff didn't use so many, there may be enough for the players.
Now about the resort, I definitely feel there was an improvement in the food provided, though still not the selection normally experienced in the hotels of this area, but we knew this having visited previously, and still feel as a whole, for a golf holiday it's a good venue. As mentioned, the hotel is smaller, in a way more resembles a clubhouse building, with a small pool attached to he hotel, but he rest of the resort down on the beach, a 10 minute or short buggy ride down their private road. At the beach there is another pool, again quite small by Turkish hotel standards, a pier which has lounging areas and a bar at the end, and a snack restaurant that served this time a view buffet style dishes and some freshly barbecued food every lunchtime. The evening animation entertainment takes place own at he beach also.
One of he advantages of it being a smaller resort, is that it never appeared over crowded, with plenty of towels and sun beds, and a more civilised dining in he main restaurant. We found all the staff very friendly, but sometimes you had to wait a long time for drink orders to be brought to you, often best to. O yourself. They do offer a nightly AL La Carte restaurant, however feedback from other residents didn't recommend it, and for the additional charge made, they said it was,t worth it.
Yes the resort has its drawbacks, but I quite like it for certain trips, but for a more extensive choice and bigger facility, try the Cornelia Resorts. We do use them both.
