As usual the hotel is spotlessly clean, food good and the majority of staff are friendly and helpful, you always get the odd one who isn't.

Booked one of the specialist restaurants (Mexican) for today, in fact booked it 2 days ago.

Came back from the pool to find a note saying it wasn't opening as too few bookings!

Offered the Italian instead, that would have been OK, but we don't like italian! Offered the Steak restaurant then discovered it was booked, the fates appear to have been against us.

They offered to rebook Mexican for tomorrow, but cant guarantee it will be open. So a bit like playing Russian roulette.

Still a good hotel, but not as great as it used to be, lets hope the next two days change our views and we rate it as 5 star again.

Still have a lot of conferences going on here also

We have always rated this hotel Original review was 5 star, but are now down to 4, lets hope nothing nothing else happens to spoil things.

Room Tip: Pool or seas views are good

Went for a meeting and did not have too many expectations of what to expect.
In general i am not a big fan of large, all inclusive style hotels so my review might be influenced by that.
Location; by the sea in an area with large hotels clustered right next (on top?) to each other.
Check in was ok, not special in any way. Staff speaks acceptable english but in no way fluently. My room was on the ground floor with a sea view, nice for going to the meeting as i did not have to spend time in the elevators. Pool and outdoor area is also ok, again not exceptional. The large pool, however, is 100 m long I think, so very nice for swimming laps.
Ground and restaurant staff speak worse english than the reception staff.
Aircondition had some problems and the first night it ran at 23 degrees but it was fixed.
Food is plenty but served in a completely disorganized manner, finding what is where in the main dinning area, weather for breakfast, lunch or dinner is like running a culinary maze. Perhaps this can be viewed as fun but it is strange finding starters hidden behind the deserts.
Meeting facilities are very good however. Equipment and staff was running smoothly, servings during coffee breaks good.
Would i be back? With my family, never.
For a meeting, yes, well, the venue would not put me of.
I have stayed at similar places that was more memorable, this will be quickly forgotten.
In a positive way, at least it will not be remembered for anything bad.

Having stayed in many Hotel complexes in Belek in the past 10 years, this Hotel was very good and not at all disappointed. My only moan was that because of the size we had a route march to our room, having said this it is the luck of the draw where you room is going to be. But I would advise that if you have trouble walking through a disability I would ask at check in for something nearer lifts. The room was a good size but we did not have a view only the back of the Cornelia Diamond Hotel. Daily cleaning and bathroom towels changed and robes, it also had tea/coffee making facility and clod drinks cabinet filled each day which some Hotels in Belek do not have. The food choice was excellent in the Buffet restaurant and we also used the al la carte Chinese which I would go again and also the Italian. The Beef/Steak house was not very good in fact a steak in the Italian was supreme far better that the Steak house although the waiter service was very good. When asking for an Ice cream beware of the tricks the man does which is very good. Outdoor facilities which includes the pool bars and the swimming pools were very good and always plenty of seating around the Hotel although this was at the beginning of May and would probably be more filled during the high summer months. Staff were always friendly and helpful and I would not have any qualms about going to this Hotel again.

Room Tip: Always ask for a room near lifts as sometimes you can have a long walk.

I can not say anything bad about this hotel. I am sure that if anyone has some complains is just an isolated situation.
The staff is gread, realy good food and a lot of varieties, good animation team, clean rooms.
It is a bit expensive hotel, but the same quality maybe you can find in a brand new open hotel, where they can have different promotions....
I strongly recomend this if your budget fit.

The Susesi matched all the expectations from other travellers comments on trip advisor. We arrived at 3am to find the bar and restaurant still open. Check in was fast and efficient. We booked a standard room and were delighted with our allocated room overlooking the pool. It was large with a generous relaxing area that had a settee, coffee table and chair. We travelled in May...the 1st week was busy with families (not a problem as there are lots of pools, snack bars, areas to sit etc) and the 2nd week was busy with a conference. We had 1 problem with the AC in the room, but this was sorted within 30 minutes. We found the service levels of ALL the staff to be impeccable. The food was superb, both in the main restaurant and the a la carte restaurants ( service charge of 10 euros pp) One thing that stood out was the evening entertainment...better than some of the cruises we have been on...1st night was the Moscow State circus, also had pier parties, foam parties, acrobats, dancers, jugglers...you name it...and all quality entertainers. We went to relax and also play golf. The Susesi runs a shuttle bus to all the golf courses. Will definitely be going back!

We were three adults and two children. We had a wonderful turkish bath on day one. Rooms, service, staff and facilities were superb. Hotel was spotless and staff could not do enough for you. There was limited facilities however this did not take away from our holiday as the main restuarant was superb. Free use of sauna and steam was excellent. Very safe for children at this hotel. Loved it so much that I am going back on 16th May.

We stayed here from 13th - 23rd April 2013. The weather was perfect (for us) about 24 - 29 degrees C most days. Over the 10 days, we had 2 which were a bit cooler and cloudy. One day we arranged a boat trip to Manavgat, markets and waterfalls. The other we did a nice long walk along the beach and played tennis.

Best bits:

1. The welcome was great - drinks brought straight away, some initial info, very friendly, luggage quick to the room and shown there.

2. The standard room was lovely - really big. We were on the 5th floor above the main restaurant. Sitting area, huge bathroom, everything you could want. The hairdryer was a bit weak though so bring your own. We have a bottle of wine and fruit basket waiting for us. The mini bar was topped up daily. Cleaners were great.

3. Food was amazing. The themes changed daily - Italian, Russian, Turkish, International, Fish, Mexican and Chinese. There was so much to choose from and it was so well presented and fresh and great quality. You could probably miss out the Italian and Chinese nights (in our opinion). We ate at the special restaurants Italian and Steakhouse - 5+ courses, all so well presented. One at the steakhouse had smoked salmon over asparagus with caviar. In the Italian, make sure you specifically ask for each course e.g. bruschetta, olives, salad, risotto, fish, sorbet, main, dessert, coffee. Our favourite desserts in the main restaurant were mini carrot cakes and baklava. We thought the special restaurants were amazing value for just 10 E each.

4. The pools and grounds were amazing. So well kept. The pools were a bit cold at times but once you're in its fine for a quick swim. The hotel was at about 25% capacity which was perfect as you didn't have to wait for anything. Towards the end we noticed it getting busier and there was a conference on. We actually preferred it quiet! The water slides were great but one wasn't working (the big dome one which dumps you out). The new tiles should be finished now (end April 2013) so it should be up and running for the Summer. The tennis courts were very well looked after - we played a few time and a Russian female professional player was there training with her coach for the Antalya tournament.

5. The staff were fantastic. Constant drinks, snacks, crisps, so friendly yet professional. Nothing was too much. They fetched us anything we wanted even if not on the menu necessarily. PS. Try the "real Turkish lemonade not Sprite". Its like a sour juicy traditional lemonade. Their Sprite isnt real Sprite by the way - I thought it tasted a bit watermelony! PS. Try the Gozleme (pancakes). They're mostly savory though but nice. We asked for lemon and sugar and got looked at as if we were mad!

6. We saw quite a few of the other resorts and this was definitely the best looking. We didn't see Cornelia Deluxe though which is supposed to be lovely too. It was huge and there were always loads of comfy sofas and chairs around. We liked the 4th floor bar (great views) and walking around the love lakes.

Negatives:

1. We thought ice cream would be available all day every day. Firstly, Turkish ice cream is not real ice cream as we know it! Its a mix of gooey, stretchy iced dessert/sorbet stuff. Its nice but just not your normal creamy thick proper ice cream. This stuff is only available in the main restaurant one particular nights. if you want the real stuff, head to the Asiyan Patisserie after 4pm everyday - the 'cake' ice cream and lemon are the best.

2. The water slides were only on for 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.

3. The beach could have been better kept. There were diggers on the beach from the resort next door. The pier was not in use. The Alesta fish restaurant and bar on the beach wasn't open. The Takatuka snack bar wasn't open.

4. The outdoor theatre wasn't open so no shows but there was entertainment in the Hayal bar. DJs, singers, bingo, karaoke and lots of great bands. The bar staff were fantastic - always giving us popcorn, cocktails and other fruit creations! They all started 'flaring' one night!

5. There are little shops lining the path to the pools. they sell sunglasses, linens, watches, shoes etc. We weren't interetsted in anything but the shop owners would try to sell things regardless. Near the end of our stay, the owner of the sunglasses shop said "come on, you buy, come see and buy! You never buy! You need to spend some money!" We thought it was a tad abrupt and OTT.

6. Not necessarily negative and we don't expect anyone to speak English but we thought the staff would speak more English. Really, all most understand is hello, goodbye, beer, wine, lemonade, thank you etc. Anything more complicated and you're best going to the 3 girls on Guest Relations who speak very good English.

7. Again, not necessarily a negative because it was quite nice being some of the only English people there but 95% of the guests were Russian/German. Most staff assumed I was German so I just ended up pretending and communicating in German as it was easier.

8. There weren't any tournaments going on e.g. shooting or beach volleyball. There were activities e.g. aqua gym and bocca but not everything was on. We thought end April was Spring/Summer but it seems most things don't really get going until May/June. But then again, it was about half the price that you would pay then.

9. The spa was very overpriced - lets just say I pay £35-45 for a really nice facial here, there it was equivalent of £130!!

Tips:

1. We thought the best sunbed area was the white comfy beds under the arched wooden cover (far right of the big pool) in the morning then after lunch we would move to the hammocks at the far left of the big pool then you'll get the sun there until about 6/7pm.

2. At the markets haggle to about 50% of their starting price. Oh, and EVERYTHING if fake.

3. If its busy in the main restaurant, sit at the far left side (its near the bar and much quieter). There were a lot of smokers so bear that in mind if you sit outside.

4. Head to the Sandal bar at lunch - they had kebabs, pesto pasta, wraps, burgers, salads and cake!

Overall, it really was a 5* resort, fantastic value for money and we would definitely go again.
