This luxury resort has almost everything you need for a summer holiday.Good accomodation with large and very clean rooms, plenty of good food, wonderful gardens, big olympic pool, elegant water river with a large pool with islands of palm trees and flowers from place to place, shadow shelters surrounded by bouganvilla flowers with comfy cushions and pillows, many cafe-bars, restaurants indoor and outdoor, one vitamin place where you can enjoy all day fresh juices as much as you need, amazing 3D laser evening shows in the garden, children play grounds & miniwater park, barbecue food place, bungalows facing the sea or the pools with your personal care & serving man, ice cream relaxing area. A little bit too expensive spa center but with free of charge eucaliptus dry and steam sauna plus one relaxing room with mood music and lights enjoying tea or coffee. There are so many places that you can feel excellent in this resort! Our special thanks to the General & Marketing Manager who assist us kindly as my husband love flowers. My highest appreciation for them paying attention to each detail in this resort so that each guest will enjoy happily the holiday. In each evening excellent piano+violin or sax live quality music. All the resort is very very clean and beautifully decorated so I'll be back next year so much I enjoyed the amenities and people services. Congratualtions to all people working here for making us feeling so good staying here!

Room Tip: luxury rooms facing the sea are nicer

This hotel is pure and utter luxury. The food is better than most restaurants in the UK, even though it was all inclusive - the standard and presentation was so high. The hotel was spotless and was decorated in a classy and tasteful manner. The pools are lovely, and the water park is great for children, although we also enjoyed it! Definitely book the Turkish A La Carte, it is well worth the money. The entertainment was also sublime - I could not recommend this hotel enough, we are desperate to go back!

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

My wife and I have just returned from spending a very relaxing 1 week all-inclusive at the Susesi Luxury Resort, from 20th to 28th April 2014. It was a very nice looking, well presented modern hotel, always clean and great quality, inside and out. However, overall we preferred the Cornelia Diamond, next door to it, where we stayed in September 2012. The Cornelia had more of a "WOW” factor on the inside and had a better choice of alcoholic drinks (we like Havana 7 rum, which Susesi charges extra for) and better standard of cocktails, we thought. Plus the standard double rooms were much nicer there, especially the bathrooms, which were large and open, more like wet-rooms, whereas the standard twin room we had at the Susesi, was more a bog-standard bath and shower combo. Perfectly fine and certainly no complaints about the rooms at the Susesi, but we'd been spoiled and more impressed at the Cornelia, which we walked into from the beach with another Scottish couple to show them the difference. They agreed with us that the Cornelia certainly appeared nicer.

Pro’s: Definite 5 star. Very nice in appearance and quality. Very clean everywhere. Friendly staff with very good service. Grounds, pools and sun-beds all very well looked after, clean and comfortable. Food is of a high standard all over. Very comfortable beds and pillows.

Cons: Air conditioning not switched on in April, even when average heat was 25-29C each day. Bedrooms are nothing fancy. Night time entertainment was pretty basic, given the low numbers at the hotel and mostly geared towards the 85-90% of Russian guests. It would have been better to not specifically have karaoke or a disco in the main bar, but just some chilled background music to sit and enjoy your drinks, snacks and conversation with.

Summary: We would definitely return to the Susesi again for a week's purely relaxing holiday and highly recommend it to others. We'd rate it as a definite 5-star hotel, but not quite not to the same high standard as the Corneila Diamond, next door. We felt the Cornelia beat the Susesi in every respect across the board, but not by too much. It was just more to our personal liking for not too much more money. Hotel in Belek, is 40 minutes from Antalya airport by bus and right on the sea front. Shops in town centre are a short taxi ride away (approx 5-7 Euros each way). Locals appear friendly and much better to speak to/be around than what we have experienced in Egypt and Tunisia. We never felt hassled or unwelcome.

Staff: All friendly, clean, well presented, smiling and welcoming with a high standard of service, however only a few spoke good English. Most only had the basics and the odd one or two had almost no English. However, they were impressively speaking in several languages to all guests, including Russian, German and French. Special mention to some staff who were excellent and very friendly, including the lovely Hülya at Guest Relations, the waiter Ibrahim and his manager/supervisor in the A La Carte restaurants, Osman from the main buffet and some other waiters from the 24-hour and Sandals pool bars, whose names I don't recall. All very friendly and a benefit to the hotel.

Room: Our standard land view twin room was nothing fancy, but was always very clean, tidy and pleasant with very comfortable beds and pillows. However, our biggest disappointment, shared by all other couples we spoke to, was that the air conditioning was not switched on properly throughout the hotel at that time of year (April). Every day our room was around 26C, which for us is too hot to sleep comfortably. Even leaving the air-con on full-blast all day and night made no difference whatsoever. We had to leave our balcony door wide open all day and night to let cool air in, which meant we were woken up several times by wildlife, guests and workers. I've deducted a single star from this review, mainly for that reason, as it was a big issue for us and other guests.

Food: The food was very good, with lots of choice at all times of the day. We much prefer being waited-on for dinner, rather than a quicker buffet style meal, so we only used the buffet for dinner on our last night, but did use it every day for lunch. We rarely went for breakfast. Out of the 7 or so A La Carte restaurants, only 3 were open at that time of year, the Italian, which served very nice food (we recommend the Tortellini starter and either the chicken, salmon or steak main, all of which were excellent). It was a bit too dark inside though for our liking. The Far East restaurant was our favourite overall, as you got a very high standard of meal across all 5 or 6 courses and the food was all delicious. The Steak restaurant was a bit of a disappointment unfortunately. We went to all 3 restaurants twice and on our first visit the steaks were excellent, but on our 2nd visit, mine was still pretty good (New York steak), but my wife's same choice was one giant lump of fat, with next to no meat on it. It should never have been served to guests. We didn't complain, as it put her off eating and a fresh steak was not wanted, however we did speak to 2 other Scottish couples who had been there the same night as us and one couple said there new York steaks were fine, but the other had the same experience with the very fatty steak. The best choice at the Steak restaurant is the Cowboy Beefsteaks...delicious. Coincidentally, the Italian did the best steaks! It's 10 Euros extra per head, per A La Carte restaurant, which is standard and fine. We tipped between 5-10 Euros per visit and the waiters appeared grateful. I did not get the impression that a tip was expected and certainly didn't see anybody else leaving any. We also tipped the 24-hour bar staff on occasion, as they were very quick and friendly at serving.

Guests: The Susesi had all ages from babies through to pensioners. I would say 75-80% of guests were Russian and from experience they appear rude to us, lacking the standard of manners that we pride ourselves on in the UK. For example, quite a few of them don't like to wait for their turn to be served....they just rudely shout their order at the waiters or barge in, including using the elevators. They certainly didn't appear to be trying to be friendly towards the staff, but I've seen this in other hotels and countries too, so no big deal and nothing against the hotel or staff. The other 20-25% was made up of German, French/Belgian, Dutch and Turkish. Topless sunbathing was not an issue pool side, for those like my wife who prefer that. I checked and at that time of year the hotel had around 800 guests, of all ages, including business guests, not just holiday makers, however as much as this sounds, we could have had our pick of sun-beds anywhere around either the main larger pool or the smaller Palms and child pools at any time of the day. We would usually get a sun-bed around 10:30 each day and it remained quiet all day, but got steadily busier as the week progressed. By the weekend however, a large business had hundreds of its reps staying for 2-3 days and the hotel went to maximum capacity of around 1,500 guests....only then did we notice a small drop on the standard of service, as the staff did their best to cope with the guests doubling overnight. Only then did it become more difficult to find a table at the main buffet, or find a waiter quickly, but this was only temporary. I would hope that they would increase staff numbers for the busier season. Speaking of which, their summer season starts on 1st May, when you can expect the entertainment to start being outside at night. The sea-pier had no decking on it and only just started to get decked towards the end of our week, but neither did any of the neighbouring hotels. We wandered along the beach and found that the sand outside the Cornelia had been much better maintained, cleaned of stones, shells, rocks etc, which the Susesi really needs to consider doing sooner as it was not the best to walk on in that condition, but again not a deal breaker.

I was in the Susesi Hotel on the occasion of a congress.
Not only is the hotel of a very high standard, offering a good choice of sports and recreational facilities, but the helpfulness and friendlyness of the staff was extraordinary.

We stayed as a family with our adult (18 and 19 year old) kids in two standard sea view rooms. The rooms were great. The whole standard of the hotel was a cut above previous (similar priced) hotels we have been to and suited us perfectly.
The food was excellent - the buffet really was superb but as we like to be waited on we ate at the al a carte restaurants every other evening and they were all very good - especially the steak house. We knew before we went that there was a supplement for these and I was not keen on the idea at first but actually it worked really well and stopped there being a huge scrabble for tables - they were very easy to book via reception. A pre-dinner drink - or two - in the lovely rooftop bar was a great way to whet the appetite!
Bar and waiting staff were very friendly (weather you tipped or not) and little touches like them bringing fruit and drinks round to the sun loungers very regularly during the day was very welcome in the very high temperatures in July!
As an English family travelling just outside of school holidays we were very much outnumbered by Eastern Europeans but if you want to spend your holidays with English stay in England!
Evening entertainment isn't something that will make or break our holiday but at the Susesi the entertainment was actually very good so that was a welcome surprise.
The beach is certainly not one of the best we have been to but you can't have everything!
All in all such a fab holiday that we have booked to go back again this year - this time we will venture outside the hotel... but probably not for long!

Room Tip: We paid extra for a sea view but it wasn't an uninterrupted view so I wouldn't pay extra aga...

Loved it .
you can reach the swimming pools from everywhere. There are room has a swimming pool on the terrace.
Rooms are cleaning twice a day. mini bar is a full with many quality drinks , chocolate and doritos.
Main restaurant is a bit busy around 20 o'clock but food was outstanding. A la cart restaurant are always good option but you have to pay 10 € per person for the reservation.
You can visit the restaurant and see how did they cook one's a week ( was Wednesday between 14 -16 )
We enjoyed the spa. It was huge big.
Highly recommend.

Room Tip: try to get room which has a access to swimming pool from bedroom.
