“Another great holiday in Turkey!”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

This was our 7 visit to turkey ( previously been to the Delphin, Voyage Belek, wings and royal holiday palace)
Much has been said about this hotel and will just give some bullet points to add to the previous reviews.

Good points!
Very clean and well maintained. Lots of lovely gardens and green areas.
Relaxed and friendly hotel.
Food quality was better than expected and my husband thought it better than the Voyage, I thought it was as good!!
Bedrooms a good size, fridge well stocked and kids loved the crisps and haribos!!
Its a big hotel and a bit like a rabbit warren but once you know your way around it doesn't feel cramped.
Great staff always smiling and helpful including guest relations. Particularly good service everywhere especially round the pool bars.
Breakfast Omelettes after ordering at the cooking station are cooked and delivered to your table, a nice touch which avoids a big queue and was more relaxing. This has never been offered at any other hotels.
Good amount of show cooking in the main restaurant, even when busy the food was hot, no empty serving plates or big queues.
Good pools and slides, plenty of lifeguards both round the main pool and at the slides, better than most of the other hotels we have been to.
Good football area for the kids. Did see the teenage kids having fun with lazer guns one eve.
Evening Shows better than some of the other hotels.

Areas for improvements!
Sun beds! If you don't go and get your sun beds by 8 you won't get one!! There were lots of beds but they seem to get taken very quickly. Didn't bother us as we are up early but if you like a lay in!!! Not sure if people were being greedy but it does need sorting. Take something to put on your bed other than your towels ( we take mags and books) as all the beds/towels taken look the same and we did see some arguments when a few people got confused.
Air con was great in the bedroom and good in the main restaurant but poor in the bar area in the hotel.
Beach area need improvement to look more attractive, it's not terrible but I've seen better.
The slides were great but far away from the main pool. It could do with having a bigger sun bed area and possibly a bar and toilets, even a baby pool so people used it more all day rather than just walking there using the slides for 15 mins then going back to the pool to lay down.

Don't let my bad points put you off its a great hotel and we plan to go back. It's just after going to a few different hotels you know what works better in some of the other ones!!!

We returned for our second holiday at the Susesi having had such a good time last year and were not disappointed. We are a family of 4 adults (children are 19 and 21 - infact, our son celebrated his 21st Birthday at the hotel).
Food, rooms and public areas are all excellent - we have stayed in many all inclusive hotels and this really is the best we've experienced. It is a big hotel but with plenty of areas to escape the hustle and bustle if you want to.
The main restaurant buffet is very busy at peak times but there is also an adult buffet for the evenings (free of charge) which is actually not a buffet at all - all waiter service and very civilised. Most of the a la carte restaurants have a charge of 15 euro per head but this is well worth it in our opinion and, because of the charge, there is not a scrabble to book them - they can all be done via the excellent guest relations people in reception. Lunch in the snack bars around the pool is also very good.
There are plenty of sunbeds around the two enormous main pools and on the beach but if you want a particular spot you do need to be up early as guests start to book them at around 6.30am.
Evening entertainment isn't something that bothers us too much - we prefer a nice relaxing meal and civilised drinks in a nice bar (which are achieved easily here) - but some of the professional acts really are very good. As there are a lot of different nationalities any entertainment that requires translation can take a while!
Additional entertainment like pier parties and beach foam parties are great fun.
There is also a free water park with various slides.
There are lots of bars for both during the day and evening and all are good and I can't imagine there is much that can't be ordered free of charge.
The Belek area is largely dominated by golf courses but car hire isn't too expensive. We hired a car for just one day (via the hotel) and took a trip to a waterfall - there are lots in the area - which was very well worth the trip (very cheap to get in and as well as the beautiful scenery there were camel rides available).
Various water sports are available at the hotel but all are at a charge and are quite expensive.
All in all an excellent holiday and I'm sure, despite there being many places in the world to explore, we will be back!

Room Tip: No room will be bad. Standard rooms probably best in the main building with a sea view (and a highe...

In terms of delivering value, the Susesi resort hotel has got it absolutely nailed... There are more luxurious hotels, but they are also be a lot more expensive. The Susesi gives you everything you might need for a reasonable price. The food is very good for buffet food, and it's there most of the time. The staff are really lovely; Evren at the pool bar will surely find you and he is a top bloke. The rooms are exactly what you need; even the mini bar is kept stocked with water, cokes and sweets, all included. The pool area is big and there are always beds. And for adults there is a pier in the sea with beds, which is great. There is an adults only restaurant with waiter service in the package. Also, there are 6 different restaurants with waiter service which cost £12 a head which are great to break the monotony of the main buffet. The wifi is free and works everywhere, even on the beach, but it does drop out annoyingly. On the whole I loved this place - only went outside once in 10 days, and that was to go white water rafting. There is free entertainment watching some of the more 'portly' guests attack free food! This hotel is strongly recommended!

The most luxurious hotel I've ever been to, without any hesitation it is Susesi Luxury Resort (which means the voice of water in Turkish) because you can hear the voice of running water in almost anywhere in the hotel. I'd like to repeat this nice experience more and more.

Before I start with my review I would like to talk about Pegasus Airlines who are sub contractor to Thomas Cook especially if you fly from Glasgow. They do not accept Scottish money on flights, only Euros, Lira and English pounds. Don't know what will happen next year if the country decides to vote Yes in September ,also take plenty of change with you. Now to the Hotel.

The Hotel is huge and has 3 main buildings all interlinked plus another huge area at the back which has swim up apartments and family rooms. There is a main buffet restaurant and various A La Carte Restaurants dotted around the complex plus eating areas aroung the pool. There are 2 main pool areas, one has electro music playing all day the other is more chilled . There is also the apartment area with the swim up pool which is connected to the quiet pool creating a lazy river effect. There are Cabanas at the beach and by the quiet pool. There are water slides situated just off the main pool area.

Rooms: We stayed at 1211 which was in the central building and had a great sea view. The room was next to the lift but the sound proofing was that good you never heard a thing especially the TING of the lift arriving. The room was spacious enough with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space . The air con was fine and not too loud at night. There is also plenty of toiletries provided by the hotel so no great need to bring your own.

Restaurants: The buffet restaurant was vast however it was very busy at times. from 9 am in the morning and from 8 pm at night. Lunch time was always quiet due to the pool snack areas which were well used . After reading njw81 review I was quite worried , however the food was fantastic and such a huge choice. There were themed nights (Turkish,Mexican,Fish,Chinese). There was only one night at the buffet that was Eastern European based, however we need to realise that 85% of the guests come from there. We tried the Mexican , Turkish and Italian a La Carte's. The first 2 are free and fantastic but be warned make sure you have a hearty appetite for the Turkish, so much food. The Italian was a disappointment especially when it has now risen to 15 Euros per person . We never tried the others. The Pool Snack area was great and had various options from pizza, burger, grilled lamb , chicken , kebabs , fish and salad.

Pool Area: The pool area is great and spotlessly clean . You can go down at 9 am and get a bed no problem . However there are some people who think they need more than 1 bed for themselves. There was an English couple who sat near us who took 4 sun beds every day, WHY so selfish.
We hired a Cabana/Chalet by the pool (no 3)at the cost of 130 Euros, expensive but the service was great and you sometimes need to treat yourself . The fridge had fresh fruit, fruit juice, ice cream and chilled glasses for your champagne(Turkish but nice) and beer. We had a waiter who brought our food and drinks when required. Superb.

Entertainment: The entertainment could be a bit one dimensional at times. DJ playing Heavy EDM . That's ok once and a while but not every second night . As a man I must say I did not mind the scantily clad girls dancing at every party night including pole dancers however it is a family hotel. There was some good shows ( all based on dancing and gymnastics) and you don't need to go to the party nights , it is up to you. The staff were great and were never forcing you into taking part in games during the day.

Teenage Club: Our son is 13 and went to the club. There were plenty of British kids at the hotel but he was the only one that went to the club. He loved it and the majority of the other kids spoke perfect English. He went rifle shooting, played football, water polo, darts and table tennis and banana boat. He had a try at DJ mixing but unfortunately the classes advertised never happened as he would have enjoyed it. The Teenage club had its own bar(non alcoholic) and barman, there was always at least 2 members' of the entertainment staff there. There was a PS4 and a large screen also.

Spa: We went to the spa for a Turkish scrub and a massage , it was great .
This the third hotel I have had this in Turkey and the best so far.
Try it. The Spa is superb.

Summary: The staff at this hotel are fantastic and are such a friendly bunch , special call out to the following. Ozkan who worked at the breakfast/pool snack-bar buffet and also the Turkish , what a nice guy and worked his socks off. Gunfey who worked at the bars as waiter great guy who never left you waiting too long for a drink. Sergi And Alp who put up with our boy for 2 weeks. We really loved this hotel and if I could I would give it 4.5 not 4.
One thing I would do would put fridges around the pool areas and beach with water and soft drinks , this would make the time for getting drinks at the bar easier.

Gloria Serenity just beats this to a very close second for me now .Not bad out of 6 good Hotels in Belek.

Room Tip: Go with an open mind

Stayed in the Susesi from 28th June-12th July. Gorgeous looking hotel with huge well kept grounds and 2 large outdoor pools. Nice beach and a great pier which we used all the time. There was always loungers all over the place which you could get at any time of the day.
Our first room was a seaview room which was fine but we got upgraded to a lake house which was huge with our own private terraces with loungers and direct pool access, room has a safe and mini bars which are filled daily with juice, beer, crisps and haribo bears, loved it.
Hotel has free wifi throughout even on the end of the pier.
I wasnt a fan of the food, I am quite fussy and some days I struggled. With it being the Russian school holidays the hotel was overrun with small kids, many on their bikes and scooters in the restaurant which was an accident waiting to happen. We complained about that and it was stopped right away.
Guest relations were great and any problems you had were sorted right away.
The hotel has a few shops that sell toys, clothes etc but are very expensive. £20 for a lilo :(
Maid service was ok, quick sweep around, beds made and towels changed, no extras.
We stayed at the VB last year and the Susesi is a nicer looking hotel but food and service not so good.
Reception staffs English was not so good, we are definately in the minority there.
We arrived at 11pm at night and an hour later our bags were still not delivered, I ended up having to go and collect them myself.
The entertainment was brill, especially the night time parties, foam parties and pool party.
Every kind of drink imaginable in the hotel, my husband was well happy with the Miller beer on AI.
I enjoyed my holiday but think there are loads of gorgeous hotels along the coast to return to the same ones.
