“The wonderful Susesi.”
Reviewed 19 June 2009

We had a fantastic time at the Susesi.

Most points have been covered by past reviews, I would just like to add a few things.

Our room was of a good size for the three of us, we paid extra for a sea view, the view was fine but next time I would not bother paying the extra, I think all rooms would have a nice view.

For the first few days of our holiday I found the service to be a bit hit & miss in some areas but we seen a very big improvement in the service from the 1st June, lot's more experienced staff was brought in, more things opening, the hotel seemed to be getting ready for the summer season, service was excellent by the time we left.

Grounds were very well kept by a large team of gardeners who worked very hard!

The food at this hotel could not be faulted, never heard one person complain.

6 a la carte restaurants to choose from, (excellent food & service in them all)Turkish, steak, Mexican, Chinese,Italian & fish each restaurant closes one night a week, most of them offer 7 or 8 courses, seems alot but some of them are fine dining! they also offer a children's menu mainly chips & turkish meat ball's my daughter tried this once but was not very keen & was left hungry small portions for a 9 year old, we were lucky enough to book a la carte restaurants every night of our 14 nights stay...this is the reason for putting on half a stone!!! bookings are made by telephone between 4 & 5 for the following evening, phone numbers for the a la cartes are available from guest relations desk in reception.

I found the main restaurant very busy at breakfast & lunch time, didn't help with a few children staking around on roller blades, not a good idea with hot food! each evening has a theme night, Chinese, Turkish, Mexican, fish, Russian, International & Mediterranean, alot of people commented on the Chinese night being very good.

I must mention the night buffet. which opens from midnight till 6.30am..it's not a buffet it's a sit down meal with waiter service, which was nice, we only used it once first night we arrived, it was nice to be served like this at 4.30am after a long journey.

The kid's club facilities are very good, not many British kid's attended unsure why, my 9 year old daughter enjoyed it!...she went horse riding one afternoon (25 euro but well worth the money) the children have there own little restaurant where they can have lunch, the usual things, pizza, chips, pasta, salad, fresh fruit, cakes, slush puppies, ect, the children can also eat together for the evening meal between 7 & 8 unsure of the menu as my daughter never went.

The water slides are great fun, you must try the fish bowl!

Service by the barmaid was outstanding in the Club Mor (on 4th floor open from 8pm till midnight, not many people in before 9.45pm)...it's not a club more a bar, with stunning views looking out over the complex, crisps & nut's were served with every drink & a few times in the night we were treated to a cocktail glass filled with crushed ice, strawberries & heart shaped chocolates...heaven!

I was a little disappointed with the English bar (Edwards) not being open, but I think as the hotel gets into full swing for the summer season it will soon be open!

The guest relations team were the best I have ever come across, so helpful & any problems sorted out straight away!.....the guest relations desk is open from 8am till midnight.

Don't no if anyone has seen the summer fact sheet from the web site but it advertises a la carte breakfast, i did enquire about this, told by guest relations "not this year, but would check with management, but if it does open will not be till July/August" so Toady & everyone else going soon you may get lucky!

This hotel really does grow on you, some really nice quite areas to sunbath, never had a problem getting sunbeds even after 9am sometimes later!

Room service, hotel shops & spa are very expensive.

One thing that did surprise me with the hotel only being two years old, some parts of it could do with a repaint.

Overall we had a lovely time & we would go back.

Anyone going soon will be in for a treat!

The accomodation was perfect, and the service was great ! When we arrived we changed 6 rooms because we didn't like the view so much from our balcony but the receptionist still managed to stay calm and indulged us...:) Because I left regularry 5 euro tips for the maid, we could find a new original stile every day in the preparation of our towels and curtain( hart shapes, swan shapes, very very nice!)...
The food was fabulous(I gained 4 kg before I came back) and I won't even start about the deserts... Fruit bar on the beach with fresh fruits, great service in the a'la'carte restaurants, interesting shows at night... Everithing was great ! You should however know that in order to make a reservation at a a'la'carte restaurant you have to do so before 10 a.m. or you won't get to....What I did not like so much was the isolation...Nothing interesting outside the hotel unless you went to Antalya city, and that was rather far. Nevertheless, I recomend susesi to everyone !

Hi readers,
Well back home now after 2 wonderful weeks. As far as I am concerned this is truly a 5 star hotel. All the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The room was spacious and very clean, albiet the balcony was rather small and overlooked the indoor pool with a side sea view.we were in room 2305 near to the main lifts.Very happy with it.
Getting to find your way around the hotel can be a problem at first, the architect was either drunk or a genius,it's amazing what he crammed into spaces between the hotel blocks. It's marvellous how the Chinese Al - a- Carte is built on concrete stilts above the Patisserie and water features.
Even picky eaters should find something they like in the main resturant as there is so much on offer.

I never had to queue at any bar and the waiter service was brilliant. All premium drinks are A/I, however ask by name or you get local drinks.

My only gripe is booking the Al-A-Cartes ,phone only between 4pm-5pm,it's very difficult to get through and are often full up when you do,i guess this is because the hotel was full,We only managed the chinese and steak restaurant, which were very good.

The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped.the shower was powerful and water always hot'. The following was supplied in the bathroom......

2 hair shampoos,2 hair conditioners,2 body lotions,2 bath foams,1 shower cap,2 boxes cotton buds,1 box of cotton pads,2 boxes of soap,2 dental kits with full size tooth brushes,1 comb, 1 nail file, 1 shaving kit which inc. throw away razor and shaving foam, 1 box of tissues.Dressing gowns and slippers.

Check-out time is 12.pm,however we had no trouble keeping our room untill 6pm cost £47.

It is cheaper to buy in belek than hotel shops and the primary currancy is the euro, however they will gladly accept stirling or turkish lira.

Stayed as a family from 17th May 2009 to 1st June. This is a really beautiful hotel with superb grounds and facilities. Spacious rooms, housekeeping very good and checking in first rate. Had we stayed only 1 week I would have said "Perfect"! However the hotel became full for the second week and couldn't quite cope. There are not enough toilets , certainly not 5* and the waiter service became very hit and miss. To wait 1hr for a lunchtime pizza was frustrating . To be fair, many of the waiters were trainees and tried hard., but the organisation was poor. However, we had a great holiday and I would recommend this hotel if there were more toilets and better serviced. .That really mattered to me. Would recommend the Mor Bar, where the lady running it is first rate. It's nearly a great hotel. Have now stayed in 7 Belek hotels, all 5* all inclusive.

I WILL KEEP IT SHORT, GREAT HOTEL,IT IS CONFERNCE CENTRE,HENCE 1000 PEOPLE DECENDED ON US FOR 3 DAYS.THEN FOOTBALL AND BOWLING COMPETIONS ANOTHER 2 DAYS.DAILY ENTERTAINMENT TEAM ALL DEAF MUSIC CONSTANTLY AT 110 DBs.The staff spoke little english and the rep never around and inaffective. You could not relax and read book or sleep by the pool.Music continued late or early into morning, then Russians decided to fight.Absolute nightmare.
Belek full of fake goods at rip off prices.Plenty sunshine and food.Their take on a la carte is entertaining.Buffet was big but the same and a very crowded.

Well we have spent two weeks at the Susesi, a fabulous hotel. The grounds are large and well kept. I won't repeat too much about what's been said but one thing seems to come up, great service. Table service is the norm at the bars, quick and easy. Crisps, nuts even fruit all those little extras make you feel special.

Food is very good with a big thumbs up for the freshly made to order pizzas. Small things like a cheese and biscuit section, Turkish Delight and always someone doing specials like sushi or duck, even fried ice cream, all add to the buffet being better than normal. Now the a la cartes....fabulous. You have to ring between 4 and 5pm, the best of any hotel we have stayed in.

We got lucky with a standard room that had steps from a terrace going down to the lake/pool area, lovely, photos in the photo section. The rooms are large and have a well stocked mini bar, bathroom soaps, shampoos etc.

This is a large hotel but soon becomes familiar, extra staff were bought in when it got busier.

The spa area is great and they provide fresh towels and lockers with keys, showers etc to make changing for the journey home easy, just remember to go put the aircon on in there! No need to book a late room, not for us anyway.

There are so many things to say, I can't remember! All in all a very lovely hotel. The only thing to let it down compared to other hotels is the shows, only one from outside and some repeated, lots of Miss Susesi types ones, but the animation team are great and the pool bar live singers, more than make up for it.

All I spoke to thought it was great and I would be very surprised to see a bad review. A hotel in the Antalya area that deserves to do well.

Just got back from a week at Susesi. Having stayed in a lot of all inclusives in the Caribbean, we were not sure how Turkey would compare, but Susesi certainly matched up to our expectations and in many areas exceeded them.
Food was very good, with a wide range of choices in the main buffet restaurant and the bonus of the A La Carte restaurants for dinner.
Good service in the restaurants and around the bars.
We played golf 4 times and the shuttle service provided by the hotel was efficient. Only had to wait 10-15 mins for them to pick us up.
Lively entertainments team provided lots of activities during the day and some fun shows at night. Also live music on a couple of nights.
