Our party of four have just returned from a two week stay at the Susesi hotel and we all agreed that it was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The hotel is vast, we were still discovering places at the end of our second week. It is kept spotlessly clean by a small army of staff who are constantly cleaning and emptying bins.
The rooms were pretty big with plenty of storage. The bathroom quite large too. The bathroom was a bit tired and could do with a bit of a makeover but other than that it was fine.
The majority of the staff were always smiling and couldn't do enough for you. Before we booked we had read some reports that said you couldn't get a sunbed after 07:00. Not true even though the hotel was fully booked you could get a sunbed anytime of day. The poolside service is excellent and again attention was paid to keeping the area clean, the waste bins must have been emptied five or six times a day. The pool nearest the sea is very noisy with music blaring and pool activities taking place, so if you want a bit more peace choose one of the other pools. Next to the pools there are huts available for rent where you get your own butler for the day, food served for you and television but they charge 100 euros per day for this.
Food is served in the main restaurant and there is a wide choice to choose from the brits called it the bun fight but it really wasn't that bad. Food quality was very good.
As an alternative you could book one of the a la carte restaurants and this is where the hotel lets it's self down. The booking system is terrible. There is a couple of machines where you are supposed to swipe your room key which enables you to book up to three days in advance. Most of the time it shows all options are fully booked but if you go to guest relations and say you had difficulty with the machine suddenly there are places available. People even queue at midnight to wait for the next day booking to become available. We did this on one occasion and was first in the queue. As soon as the machine ticked over we swiped our card only to be told everywhere was fully booked. We were successful on some occasions and that plus using guest relations we managed seven nights in the a la cartes. The food is very good in the a la carte restaurants and it is nice to be waited on. There is currently an 8 euro per person charge for the Chinese and fish restaurants and we were told that from 1st of October this will apply to all of them but how true that is I don't know.
This hotel is 24 hour all inclusive there is no restrictions on anything and food and drink is genuinely available 24 hours a day.
The main entertainment of the evening is very poor so we used to avoid that and sit in one of the bars. When the entertainment finishes there is either a disco or live band, this is much better standard except the odd occasion where the disco would play techno music solidly for the whole evening.
Belek is the nearest town and there is a tractor train that runs every 30 mins or there are plenty of taxi's outside. There is a market on a Saturday which is good fun. We had been told you will get hassled by the traders but if you have ever been to Egypt this is nothing in comparison. The traders are very good natured and you can have a bit of a joke with them. Taxi's are very expensive if you want to travel anywhere further than Belek. A fare to Anatayla is between 60 and 70 euros each way so we booked a tour with our rep which cost £9 but we did spend a fair time in a jewellery outlet.
Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely go back.

As it was our first visit to Turkey we thought we would try a 5* de-luxe hotel and the Susesi certainly lived up to the rating.
The reception on arrival were very professional and within minutes a bell boy took our luggage to our 2 superb rooms, both with sea views that we had paid for. Everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean, and I could go on endlessly about staff, food, facilities, a la carte restaurants but it's all been said before by others and I agree with everything that's been written. Lots of sunbeds in and around the hotel, plenty of greenery and gardens if you 'want to get away from it all'. Nothing, absolutely nothing was too much for the staff throughout the hotel, only thing I would suggest is that if you decide to go then learn Russian - the English were certainly outnumbered and some Russians were very rude and have obviously never heard of waiting to be served! - that said, it didn't bother us. We didn't go often to the entertainment, but enjoyed a drink by the pool in the evenings after our dinner. The only down side was we found the duty manager quite rude when asked about the safety of children allowed to run about in the restaurant through people carrying hot food and his reply was 'it is the parents responsibility' and quite curt with his reply too.
I can't praise the hotel enough and would certainly go back if we did return to Turkey.

We returned on 12th September following a delay of 26 hours due to a technical fault on the plane. Thomson's rep support was poor and their management of the delay was disgraceful. That said even these problems could not erase the fantastic memories of our stay at this fantastic hotel. We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary during our stay and on arrival there was wine, flowers, fruit and a lovely letter from the manager congratulating us in our room. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished with a balcony and view over the pools and to the sea, and spotlessly clean. There was never a problem finding a sunbed and the staff were constantly cleaning around the pools, and serving out cool drinks. The high standard of cleanliness was evident in every area of the hotel, especially the washrooms and shower areas. The staff were very attentive, efficient and friendly and were keen to go out of their way to please. The main restaurant was amazing. The buffet arrangemets worked well and there was never a problem getting seated whether inside or out. As soon as you were seated a waiter was there with tea, coffee, in the mornings or wine in the eveings. Your water glass was constantly being filled. The choice of food was extensive and first class. I arranged to go on the kitchen tour and learnt that all their food is prepared from scratch, with the kitchens working 24 hours to ensure that all food was served fresh. Their supplies are sourced locally and the standard of hygiene in the kitchens and each of the food areas was excellent. No problem getting into a la carte retaurants. Our private special meal served in a beachside chalet was a dream with a great butler and super food and champagne. What a way to celebrate. This is a WOW hotel with bells and whistles and a MUST for all who desire excellence.

We went to the Susesi in July and we have finally got round to writing a review.

This holiday was fantastic in every way. When we arrived in the early hours the reception staff were extremely helpful and we were shown to our room with an amazing sea view it was smiles all round even though we were tired, we found the energy to go the 24 hour bar like you do and it was great.

We researched this holiday using this site and found some negative reports and we couldn't find anything negative to report in this review.

We paid for a sea view which was exceptional, we had flowers, wine and fruit on a few occasions. The bathroom was so big it could of been another bedroom, every day it was stocked with toiletries these included shampoo, conditioner, bath foam, ear buds, nail files, soap. Safe was a very good size, plenty of storage space. Minibar was stocked every day and you even got crisps and the room was cleaned to a high standard daily.

The first time we visited the main restaurant we were amazed at the choice of food on offer and the way it was presented. We were waiting to be overwhelmed and pushed around by the Russain guests like we had read in previous reports, this is not the case, yes it was busy but we could always get a table and found no pushing and shoving, infact it was quite orderly.

We booked several A la cartes, these were exceptional. There not easy to book but if your patient around midnight and queue at the machine you can generally get what you want. When it was our anniversary we went to the Mexican. They had decorated our table with petals and candles and they even made us a cake.

The bars were brilliant, it was so nice when you arrived at some of the bars and they would see you coming and have your favourite drink waiting for you. All the bars were faultless, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The cocktails are a must and very strong.

The entertainment was great, we had enjoyable evenings watching the variety of entertainmnet that the Susesi offered. The animation team were so hard working and very friendly. A special mention to Jimmy who kept my husband and son entertained doing rifle shooting and he was also involved in every other entertainment going, he looks lovely in his red dress!!!!!!

The pools were huge and always very clean, if you want a certain sunbed you need to get up around 8am to put your towels on but if it doesn't matter to you where to want to be there was always space around the pools or gardens.

All in all it was a truely amazing holiday the best we have had, it was very hot during July and August but we coped with the help of the pool and bar. We met some good friends. Hello to Tracey, Andy and Emily. We have booked to go next year and we can't wait.
