“Enchanting!”

This is an outstanding, charming, peaceful property and we loved our stay. It's constructed as a small, traditional, rustic village in an isolated, hilltop position with separate buildings scattered through the grounds, each containing up to four bedrooms/suites. The private Honeymoon House is especially charming and not so expensive. The grounds are beautiful and very thoughtfully managed and the pool area is spectacular, with its huge infinity pool and hilltop views of the coast, it's like heaven. Hoyran Wedre is definitely in a class of its own.

But most of all, the property has a magical, spiritual feel; the owners are a wonderful, welcoming couple who have developed something very special here. We definitely felt the love! It's also staggeringly peaceful, not only spiritually but literally, it's very quiet with no artificial background noise, just the sound of the birds occasionally dipping into the pool, a distant goat in the hills or the breeze through the olive trees. And don't forget the ruined city just a few minutes' walk away through the fields ... We were led there by the hotel's gorgeous dog, Peanut and enjoyed the most spectacular scenery.

Meals are delicious and home-cooked. Have you ever had sandalwood-berry jam? Extraordinary! Some of the rooms have self-catering facilities too.

There are various activities off-property and we would recommend a boat-trip to the sunken city of Kekova and the castle at Simena but it is just as easy to stay at the hotel ... I mean, why would you ever leave heaven?

We stayed here with an art trip (from Australia) for 3 days, just loved it! Our hosts were so hospitable & welcoming, delicious gourmet home cooking every night, artistically laid out breakfast offerings, lovely pool & surrounds, hammocks & chair swings to relax in....what a perfect place! Could easily have stayed a week or more, most enjoyable! Free wifi in pool area & terrace restaurant.

This was not our first trip to Turkey, but it was our first visit to Hoyran Wedre. It is somewhat out of the way - which is also a benefit actually - so one should phone ahead to ensure the correct directions. The entrance from the road is very modest and could be missed although we were greeted warmly at the front gate by Canan Hacimusaoglu, who, with her husband, Suleyman, are the proprietors.
We walked through the main gate and then the breathtakingly beautiful site started to reveal itself. The location, overlooking the mediterranean is spectacular and what Canan and Suleyman have created is absolutely beautiful. It is very picturesque and wonderfully peaceful - serene really. The infinity pool with the backdrop of the mediterranean in the distance is stunning.
Canan and Suleyman were warm, welcoming and gracious hosts. They spoke English very well but were fluent in other languages, particularly German too. Our rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. The decor was entirely in keeping with the locale and respectful of the history and culture of the area.
Suleyman took us for an initial guided tour to some of the local ruins and then left us to explore the area on our own. The setting is so beautiful and rich in Lycian history.
The food was delicious and very well presented. The food service was friendly, humorous and accommodating.
Hoyran Wedre is a special place. Canan and Suleyman were very hospitable and were there to meet all our needs but, also, were not overly attentive - just right really. What they have created at Hoyran Wedre, with their sense of design and decor is quite remarkable. We loved our time there and look forward to a return stay.

We enjoyed our two nights at Hoyran Wedre enormously. Canan and Suleyman could not have been better hosts: the tea and cakes on arrival after walking a tough section of the Lycian Way were delightful. The food was excellent and the pool was quite superb: we shall particularly remember the breakfasts and the tray of homemade jams. Our room was spacious and peaceful, with a pleasant small terrace. Suleyman drove us to the Lycian site of Kyaneia and gave us great advice on the route back from there and the way to the nearby site at Hoyran, both well worth seeing. We only wish we could return soon.

My husband and I stayed at Hoyran Wedre 2 nights in mid- September 2013. We wish that we could have stayed longer. The setting, accommodations, food, and hospitality were exceptional. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. Our room was lovely. It was entirely furnished in lovely antiques. The proprietors, Canan and Suleyman could not have been nicer or more helpful. Hoyran Wedre is a very good value. We cannot wait to go back - but would go back for a week or more.

Three friends and I walked the Lycian Way and stayed in some charming hotels of which this was the star. The rooms are good and individual and the food memorable. You can lie in bed at dawn and hear the sounds of chicken and the call to prayer from the mosque coming up the valley. The owners speak excellent German and English and cannot do enough for you.
