“A day trip to Sugar Beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2014

We spent a lovely day here and hired a gazebo for the duration which I would recommend. It serves as a base to store your belongings and also provides a shade from the strong sun which hit 49 degrees when I was there.. The area is lovely and the toilet facilities spotless. The staff are particularly friendly and the food delicious, especially the steak and mushroom sandwiches!. The place has a bit of a hippy feel to it and it's just a few minutes away from the Blue Lagoon entrance so it's walkable from Oludeniz. Although I prefer an open sea, this was pleasant as there was sand. I would say that although it is safe (no tide) there are hidden rocks so you do have to be careful. Beach music was just right too!

We spent a day here earlier this month. Was nice to be picked up from the hotel and taken back again, saved us having to mess around travelling there.
Liked the fact that there was plenty of space between sunbeds, some places pack you in like sardines! And the music was great too, not too loud and perfect for a day chilling out.
The only thing we found quite expensive was bottled water, it was double the price of our hotel but the rest of the food and drink wasn't too bad, and you do get the free transport so can forgive this.
The food we did have was nice and fresh and plenty of it, and service was good too, staff were friendly and polite.
Had beach shoes with us so beat a hasty retreat to put them on when I felt some rocks underfoot in the water, am a bit soft like that. Water was quite warm here but there were cold showers available which were great. Seemed clean and well maintained and I would certainly pay another visit next time we holiday here (next year already booked).

Have been at sugar beach all day today. We enjoyed ourselves, we had cocktails and food, it's a little steep but on par with the other beaches. We did not stay in the bungalows, it was just a day visit.
We liked the fact that the sun beds we not all on top of each other, there was a good space in between so you did not feel crowed at all.
Admittedly there are a fair few rocks in the water, but we always wear beach shoes so we were not bothered by this.
The sand is clean and not littered with cigarette butts which is a plus in my book, I hate dirty sand!

Would recommend a visit here, we have tried all private beaches including the lagoon and would defiantly visit here again.

We didn't stay here we just paid for use of the beach and ate in the restaurant. The food is great and the staff are so friendly. Plenty of space on the beach and we loved the music they played. Would recommend so much more friendly than sun city beach club. Very, very clean around the restaurant, showers and toilets

This place was definitely one of the highlights of our round Turkey trip! Being right on the Blue Lagoon was a huge plus as you have free use of the sun beds and the beach (if you weren't staying here you had to pay to go to use the facilities). It was a short (10 minute) walk into the main town of Oludeniz and the main Oludeniz beach which was incredible! Most of the day boat tours leave from this beach so it was nice and convenient. There are also lots of great restaurants in town too (especially Buzz Bar).

My friend and I stayed in a superior bungalow which was worth the little extra. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were very clean with a mini bar fridge and air con. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And breakfast was really good! Would definitely recommend staying here for a chilled out time.

Our daughter got married here. Well, I am just speechless even now. It was the most amazing wedding. They only decided to get married 4 weeks before the wedding. Demit the wedding organiser was excellent. We couldn't have asked for better. The wedding was at 6pm. Of course the weather was beautiful. The Gazebo was decorated in white muslem and pink ribbons. The ceremony was about 15 minutes, but of course photos in this lovely setting can't be hurried. Again Demit was on hand to get it right. For the beautiful bride and groom.

Food. Don't know what I was expecting, but was some of the best we have ever had. Guests had steak which they said just melted in your mouth. Being vegetarian I had garlic prawns. On par with Agni Taverna, Corfu. Beautiful starters and sweet. Credit to all staff and chefs. All presented to perfection.

Ambience. Well I cannot begin to explain. A lovely lake which looks fantastic in photos, surrounded by pine forests. Reception was up on the decking, which they presented well. All the children gave speeches with a microphone and our beautiful Grandaughter, also the bridesmaid sang to her parents, bride and groom. Tissues at the ready!

Evening entertainment. They booked the fire dancers. What a show. If you do hold a wedding here I would definitely book these. They were excellent. Of course the children were mesmerised. Then we had dancing. Again Demit came up trumps. She definitely loves her job, which shows and gets through to everyone.

I could go on and on as haven't stopped bragging, sorry - talking about this wonderful day. Would just like to thank all that were involved for making a special day so so special and will remember this for years to come. If you are getting married here or are planning to I'm open to questions. All of course positive.

Room Tip: Didn't stay at the hotel as was a wedding.

I'm not a beach person to be fair but the Sugar Beach is pretty good.
Sun beds aren't squashed up against one another so you have a bit of space unlike some of the other beaches.
Friendly beach staff and lovely food so no complaints.
Had a nice row out in one of the canoe's so that was an enjoyable and relaxing hour.
The beach is safe and enjoyable for young children too.
