Thanks to all the staff at Hotel Oludeniz who contributed to an excellent holiday in Turkey.

My wife and I stayed for 8 nights at the start of September and had a lovely stay.

The rooms were basic but clean and had everything we needed. They were cleaned each day and bedding/towels changed regularly.

Breakfast was basic but provided a good start to the day.

Relaxing round the pool was easy as there was plenty of sunbeds available, with table tennis, fussball and pool an added bonus.

We didn't eat any lunch or evening meals at the hotel so I can't comment on the food but I did see plenty of others using the restaurant.

One great thing about the hotel is the bar. All drinks were very reasonably priced, cocktails were fantastic and the staff were very friendly.

The location is excellent, with a 5 minute walk to the beach and local shops and bars.

It is fair to say there can be a bit of noise from nearby hotels at night but this always stops at midnight - so if you are looking for early nights or have very young children this might be an issue, but wasn't for us.

We had a fantastic stay, excellent value for money and would certainly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor overlooking the pool.

2 years we come here now. Staff pleasant, hotel clean, nice pool.
Best place in the town for cocktails!!
Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble!
Ask Eser for what you like. Hot water excellent and lots of it.

Ask Mehmet about the cultivation of olives and olive oil, he should be a professor of olive oil.
Excellent hotel for families, no loud music.
Always space by the pool.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The rooms were bearable, the bathrooms were not very clean. The breakfast was nothing much. The staff, however were very helpful. They booked a boat trip for us which was pretty o.k.Try booking trips with hanniblal tours and Pegus tours, their boats looked better. Now for the experience of a life time ,paragliding, you can ask the manager at the reception to book for u. He will get u a good discount . The companies on the roadside were asking for 180-200 liras. He got us tickets for 150 liras. Then after u have done paragliding, they ask u to buy the video and the photographs that the pilot has taken during the flight. They start with 70 lira for the video and 70 for the photos, but please bargain and he will come down to 80 liras for both.

When we booked this hotel we were really excited as it claimed to be family friendly and it was the first trip we'd taken with out 1 year old. We were also going with my parents and stayed in 2 rooms. One on the "quiet garden side" and one on the pool side. We made sure to let them know at the time of booking via laterooms that we would require a cot for the baby. we also called ahead to confirm our booking and to confirm our requirement for a cot. The person on the other end of the line's limited capability to converse meant that we received a few grunts which we should take as confirmation of our requests. Upon arrival we were checked in and shown to our rooms. There was of course no cot in the room. We then asked reception for the cot and also if we could have another one for my parents room so that our baby could sleep there on some nights. Perhaps a it was a bit much to ask but we were assured that this would be fine. 1 cot duly arrived, with no sign of the other. We had arrived at about 6pm and thought we'd just eat dinner at the hotel but upon seeing the buffet on offer we decided to go elsewhere. That first night all we wanted to do was sleep however this is easier said than done the hotel oludeniz. Although not the hotels fault, it is surrounded by bars on all sides with each establishment competing for noise. This resulted in basically feeling like you're sleeping in a nightclub. The noise was deafening and went on till 2am/3am so the "quiet" side is not really so quiet. When i approached the manager about this he said "Turkish night!" as if this is to be expected.

The next morning we went down for breakfast and firstly asked for warm milk for our baby. We were told this was not possible. A 60 room hotel with a fully functional kitchen apparently had no facility whereby milk could be warmed! We then asked another member of staff who responded with now familiar grunt and brought some warm milk. I then spied a small teapot by the cups and saucers and filled this with water to take to our table, i was stopped along the way by one of the staff who proceeded to inspect the contents of my teapot before declaring "no problem". What possible problem did he hope to uncover and what way is this to treat your guests. In the same breakfast sitting we asked for some boiling water at about 10.15 (breakfast finishes at 10) we were sternly reminded that breakfast was over before miserably being brought some.

The 2nd night (a Friday) was similar to the first where again we were subjected to loud music (must be Turkish night again).

The following day breakfast was better only in that we knew which member of staff to ask for warmed milk. i also asked if scrambled eggs were an option as it was omelette again and i was told that it changes daily, no problem, that seems reasonable enough, except it turned out that they had omelette for ALL 7 days. Again not a problem, its a 3 star hotel and i don't expect more but it seemed that whenever a question was asked, the answer given just turned out to be a lie! We then asked for some brown bread which had finished and were informed they were all out. The same happened the next day and the day after at which point i asked why they didn't just order more. the answer was: "we have a 120 people staying here, we can't provide everything for everyone!" If you are a hotel, surely that is your main purpose!

The only thing that made our stay bearable were the guests who all seemed really nice!

In terms of the other facilities within the hotel, the rooms were very average. The shower was mostly a trickle and every use was a race between you finishing the shower and the tray spilling over. The air conditioning in my parents room didn't seem to work either. We also felt like we were constantly asking for fresh towels. There were 2 occasions when this was an issue, 1 when i'd left all the towels on the floor to be replaced to find the same ones had been hung up for me. Another where a clearly stained towel had been folded neatly and left on the bed as if it were a new one. The standard of housekeeping was also poor, The top blanket which is more for decoration was roughly folded and left on the side by us and everyday was moved back onto the bed in the same roughly folded manor that we left it. These complaints may seem pedantic but every little thing just compounded out miserable stay.

The baby pool is surrounded by metal bars one of which had snapped leaving an extremely sharp piece of metal that any child cold slice their hand on. There is huge double gate (permanently open) right by the slide and swing that leads directly to a main road and there was an occasion where we saw a young child run out frantically being chased by their parent! This hotel really isn't child friendly. When walking back to our room we also saw an unused baby cot on the side to add insult.

Finally my wife and i were partial to a swim before breakfast, A very common thing in my opinion and since there was a sign saying pool open at 7am, something i thought was accepted. Mid swim i was called to the side and asked to swim quietly as there are guests sleeping. I proceeded to show the staff member the sign saying pool open at 7am at which point he showed me another sign which said pool opens at 8am, i again directed him towards the one that said 7am at which point i just gave up and carried on swimming.

On our last day when getting ready to leave we for the umpteenth time talked to the manager this time laying out all our issues. he then proceeded to haul each individual member of staff in front of us and question them there and then! he then apologised and said that a cruise ship had taken 8 of his staff last year some he'd worked with for 10 years and he just seemed to sigh with regard to the current lot and really share our disappointment. He couldn't understand why someone couldn't have got a loaf of brown bread from across the road, nor why my teapot needed inspecting, nor why i was told to swim quietly at 7.45am when the pool opened at 7. This made us feel better that our concerns had been heard and taken into account. We asked for the bill to be prepared and when we went to pay the other manager was at the desk (there are 2 managers, both brothers) and he had not heard anything of our disappointment in the stay, his brother had told him nothing. We didn't expect much of a discount but did expect something by way of apology! Instead we got the opposite!! This manager started accusing us of not addressing anyone about our problems, when we talked to him about the cot issue he when nuts! He marched into his office, printed out our confirmation and said "show me where it says you've asked for a cot" I duly pointed this out which seemed to vex him even more. He basically had no interest in hearing a single negative thing said and would not know customer service it jumped up and bit him on the rear!

All in all the location is fantastic, being within 10 mins walk of the beach but the pro's really do stop there. There are so many other hotels in the area and there is no reason AT ALL why i can imagine anyone wanting to stay here. In such a competitive location you'd think staff would pull out all the stops but far from it. Throughout our stay we just felt like unwanted guests.

A beautiful, friendly hotel family run with great pool, food, room and drinks. The staff were really friendly , Memhet was amazing. Check in was easy and food and service was excellent.
Went in August with my daughter and will be going back. Lovely clean rooms with hot showers and fantastic air conditioning. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels available. The manager of the hotel and his sons were amazing. They were always smiling and made us feel at home. The manager's brother even gave me a gift on my way home. It was our first time to Turkey and because of this hotel it was a fantastic, memorable experience. We were crying when leaving.
Thank yo to you all, see you soon. Andrea and Demi

As I've been to Hotel Ölüdeniz 3 years ago with some quite good memories, I decided to give a second shot this Summer. Very very bad decision of mine.
We checked-in to the room no. 121 and our friend to the room no. 107.
The rooms were "cleaned up" prior to our arrival, well.. in theory.
Some blood stains on the beds, some hair of unknown people, curtains with remains of dead mosquitoes... the glass with which we were supposed to drink water had rust and lime.
Besides, the breakfast was quite rich but very poor in quality (especially the cheese and meat), and it's a pity that the owners do not pay attention to this kind of details, with the excuse that the hotel is a cheap one. We had booked for 3 nights but left after having spend 2 nights. The 2 only positive thing was maybe the attitude of the staff who were trying to be helpful, and the location of the hotel.
I definitely do not recommend.

Room Tip: Book a room on 2nd floor with Swimming pool view.

We had a very good stay at the Hotel Oludeniz. The facilities are good and the hotel is kept to a very hgh standard. The morning breakfast is one of the best we have seen in a hotel although you should arrive early to make sure that you get bread and some of the amazing fruits. The bar by the pool is actually really cheap and is a lot cheaper than most of the nearby bars. There is free qifi which is a little glitchy but is generally ok (i'm wiriting this on it). The pool is nice and deep at the deep end but rapidly gets full especially as the hotels pool is open to the public. They have ping pong and pool tables which are an added bonus. AT 20TL I wasn't too fussed on the evening buffet. Cocktails are competitively priced. The downside to this hotel is the noise. Generally the noise stops at around midnight when the bars that surround the hotel reduce the volume. until then the noise is very very loud and I guess people with small children may be put off by this. Some nights it was difficult to sleep - but we ended up dirnking beer. The room service is really good and are rooms were serviced and left very clean each day. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Its a short walkf from town....about 5-8 minutes depending on walking speed. You can just walk outside and get a dolmus to Fethiye or Hisaronu.
