You may have a chance of a decent holiday if you get the room and hotel you booked. We booked February 13 and travelled August 13. As on previous reviews we were moved between the sister hotels (magic tulip is a dump) and when we were eventually moved to the magic tulip beach hotel we got a so called 'garden room' at the back of the hotel (no balcony or terrace as advertised on the travel republic website). I could go on with other complaints but to be honest just want to draw a line under the whole experience. Travel republic just not interested.

Up to you guys whether you book this hotel with your hard earned money but I can not recommend it, good luck!!!

Stayed: August 2013

Visited Oludeniz again this September.
Stayed at the Magic Tulip Beach hotel this time.
Arrived early hours of the morning and yes had to wake a sleepy young man up to show us our rooms. We had asked for an upper floor room and that is what we got, had booked in January so maybe that is why we got what we asked for. Room was good, small balcony with pool view and mountains. Bathroom fine and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was basic buffet style, adequate but yes could have done with yoghurt and fruit but okay. Pool area fine, plenty of sun beds, well looked after and clean. True the owner did sit at the end of the bar like the Godfather and the staff were not overly friendly but did work long hours and spoke little English. The cleaning lady and the young boy helping her were as stated cheery and helpful. Rooms cleaned every day and bins emptied. Yes air con very expensive but luckily we did not need it. Had to pay extra for fridge but did not bother as not supposed to bring own drinks in so no point. Did hear music from Buzz bar etc., but to be fair it stopped at around 12.30. Free pool table supplied by the bar so you could end the night with a drink and a game of pool. Obviously the chalet type rooms at the rear of the property are to be avoided, why do they insist on putting people in there. To sum up we had an enjoyable holiday there but some areas could be improved.

Room Tip: As stated avoid the chalet type rooms at the rear of the hotel, think they used to be staff quarters...

I am strongly disappointed with this hotel. At first it looks it has everything to enjoy your holidays: best location, swimming pool, restaurant.... However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were given a really small room which no terrace. It was so small that we could not stay there. We were only one night and a terrible noice (washing machine or air conditioner) did not allow me to slepp. The next morning we told to the manager who said that the agency (hotels4you) did pay them such a small amount of money that the room we had is what we paid for. Although they had another hotel they did not bore to give us another room so we went to another hotel paying ourselves double. Be careful! Because they do not show these smallllll rooms on their website!!!!

Room Tip: Make sure that they do not give you a small room with no terrace. These rooms are not shown on their...

Quiet, clean, simple room. Very good location but expect to hear the beach bars so use ear plugs if it bothers you. I always take them when I travel.
Basic breakfast, chatty guests, staff keep to themselves but help if added.
Room cleaning perfect, plenty of towels. Hot shower all the time. Nice wee balcony.
Better by far than sister hotel...Magic Tulip...so book the right one.

Room Tip: Pay extra for pool balcony

Just back from our third visit to the Magic Tulip Beach Hotel and its been a really difficult revue to write , i could say lots more but here are the main points for now ......
Bar area
if you are a footy fan then this is the place for you ... two tv screens constantly show any and all football games from any nation. Why ? Well the owner and staff have absolutely no interest in any interaction with any of their guests ... The bar area , covered in old football shirts ,is run completely and absolutely for themselves and their turkish friends  .. customers are a second choice ... they sit all day , and i mean ALL day and night at the same location at the corner of the bar and smoke ,drink turkish tea and watch any and all games ... don't dare ask to see or hear any music such as MTV  . Due to this .. The bar is nearly always empty with no atmosphere at all if you happen to call in for a drink. Go only 100 mtrs up to the main strip and all the rival bars , Buzz and Help are busy with people spending their money on having a good holiday   ... NO TVS so Football free ! Help Bar even has live music at night so is always busy ......
Rooms
Rooms are generally clean and comfortable only problem is if you get what the hotel calls a 1st floor room as this is what we call the basement .. These rooms are below ground level so get little sunshine and don't have any balconies. Worst of all are rooms numbers 600 + as these are small huts which are located at the rear of the main building so no view ,balcony or even windows I'm afraid. Don't bother requesting a room change as the owners say everybody asks this so there is little chance of them complying with your request . Even has a sign in reception that says there is a charge to change your room ! Don't bother requesting a high room balcony or anything else on the Airline booking form as this is just ignored by the reception staff.
Breakfast
Food is the usual Turkish such as , cheeses, bread, jams and boiled eggs .. Thats it.
Location
Good location for access to the beach area with all the bars and the main strip although with the opening of the Hector paragliding centre and Restuarant just across the street the area has got much busier with lots of mini buses and delivery vans . I counted over sixty vehicles arriving and departing whilst i sat outside and had food one morning  .. So lots of fumes and engine noise to say nothing of the general hustle and bustle going on all day .....
Summary
The owner has been here 30 + years so they are very much set in their ways and are not really interested in bringing the Bar/Restaurant/Hotel into the modern world which has customer service at its heart . Why should they as they seem to be very happy and contented with the income they are earning now so I'm afraid it will be our last visit to the Magic Tulip Beach Hotel for now .........

Room Tip: Dont take any 600 room ... its at the rear .....no views .... Dont take a 1st floor room ... Its a...

We have just returned from Magic beach. I booked and paid for what I thought was in the brochure. We arrived and had to wait 10 minutes whilst the young lad woke up, he was asleep on a pull out bed in reception, he spoke very little English he took us out past the reception, past the pool, past the balcony rooms and we went round the back of the hotel where there was some little brick buildings. Looked ok but very dark did have a few ants living with us. 3 windows so we thought that's ok we will open them but 2 were sealed so pointless having them. No daylight even came through them. I will try and upload some photos, our room was full of long black hairs (I'm blonde and my hubby has none) mould all over bathroom shower, beds mouldy mattress, dirty stained bedding, the maid did come in daily but nothing changed. Charged money for safe and a £20 deposit which we were told we would get back when we returned the key. we did as ask, ask for our money told we couldn't have it, he said what are you going to ask for next your money back for your holiday. It wasn't worth the fuss really so we didn't take it further.
The manager is a really nice person, the location is excellent right near bus stops, breakfast seemed ok we only used that once but was ok. The staff we thought were ignorant but in there defence we actually think they are all so tired, they do everything, work really long hours. and even though it was dirty, it was ok we slept on towels, duvets were clean enough, the shower itself was good. We would use it again if we couldn't get something else around that area, We also recommend you drink elsewhere as you have to get up a tab, and I do think that things had been added, but they assured us it wasn't. Pool was freezing. grounds were lovely, All in all not anything to worry about Id say. Its ok I've stayed in worse.

Really good hotel very close to everything.the only downside was u have to pay for air con.we stayed at one of the basement rooms which was nice and clean.fresh towels everyday.didnt really need air con as the sun never hit our room. The staff arent ignorant if u speak to them. Breakfast just typical turkish breakfast but u can get full english for 5 pound. The food is lovely. Would deffo stay again if I was going back...
