“A Little Piece of Heaven”
Reviewed 19 September 2011

We have just returned from our first visit to Yakamoz Hotel. We read all the reviews on Trip Advisor before we booked and yes they are all true. We spent 10 days with Mehmet and his staff and they are as friendly as everybody says. The food is excellent, the rooms are basic but very clean and the pool is heaven. It was nice to sit and relax reading a book in the garden and not have to listen to loud music, radios or television. Did we enjoy our first stay at Yakamoz, well we have already booked for next year, so what do you think?

Have just returned from another stay. We really can't rate it enough. The management and staff are fantastic - nothing is ever too much trouble and the food - yummy!
We have already booked for next year, as most of the guests do - which should tell you what a special place it is.

Stayed for 5 nigths. No words to describe customer service (small or big problems are not a problem to Mehmet and his team), food quality/quantity, the natural beauty of the place and accommodations.
You may stay at the Yakamoz all time, to relax and all sort of resting areas are available, but in my opinion it's a big waste not to explore the surroundings. So much to see…
A car is recommended, but not fundamental as there are public buses (dolmus), taxis, and excursions for all tastes.
If I have ever return, no other option is available to me.

A little oasis just 15 minutes walk off the main road between Fethiye and Oludeniz. A lift from the hotel to the main road with a very frequent dolmus serive was always supplied to us on request. We had an air conditioned room in the new block. All rooms are en-suite. The beds were very comfortable, furniture rather basic but the room was kept very clean. All rooms have a balcony with a table and two chairs.
The food in the restaurant was excellent with a very good choice. All of the staff were very friendly and could not have been more obliging. A good sized swimming pool with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas plus an orchard with more sun beds, hammocks and chairs provided plenty of shade. A bar service was available by the pool and room service for early morning tea and coffeee if required.
We were the odd ones out in that all of the other guests had visited the hotel on previous occassions. This is a adult only hotel apart from school holidays and is open from May to October. Do not come here if you are looking for loud music and television. Do come if you wish to have a relaxing time in a delightful environment and enjoy chatting to other guersts. We will be back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new block with AC. The additional cost is well worth the convenience.

This was what several people said about this hotel, because everybody who comes here wants to keep it as it is. Whilst we were there people were booking second trips later in the year and sorting out their dates for 2012!
If you want the hurly burly of the Turkish equivalent of Benidorm then stay down the road in Hisaronu (local speciality dish 'Full English Breakfast').
The Yakamoz is small & friendly with the kind of guests who are sociable and enjoy a chat to each other at breakfast or dinner. It is a peaceful base to go out exploring from but also has a lovely pool and orchard for chilling and relaxing.
Adults only for most of the year I would recommend it to couples and small groups of friends who enjoy an evening of chat over a nice meal rather than beer and a nightclub.

The Yakamoz was recommended by a friend who called it her "little piece of heaven". She was right. The hotel was lovely, the staff were attentive, and the food was fantastic. In fact I had the best steak I've ever tasted there, cooked to perfection. My husband particularly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the orchard, but the poolside was wonderful too. We met some lovely people there and hope to keep in touch with them. There's nothing negative to say about the hotel only positive things. We came home very relaxed and hope to return to the Yakamoz soon.
