This hotel can only be descibed as a slice of paradise. Not for party animals but for out and out relaxation, it should be available on the National Health Service. Wonderful food and accomodation along with staff who are both attentive and friendly. We will be back for a 3rd time !!

We, our friends and family, all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We got married at the Blue Lagoon and chose this hotel as our base. We ended up wishing that we had arranged to have the wedding at the Yakamoz! The staff were so friendly and we loved the chilled out, relaxed atmosphere. Also, the food was fantastic and the cheeky waiters kept us laughing.

Thank you so much Julie, Mehmet, and the rest of the staff, for being so accommodating. Not a single member of our party had a bad word to say about the hotel. We look forward to returning in the future (possibly for wedding anniversary???)

I stumbled upon this gem through Trip advisor and have to agree with all the reviews. It is a hidden gem. Perfectly sized and simple rooms, it's such a relief to not feel tempted to watch tv whilst you're on holiday. Located just a short walk 10 mins down from a main road where you can pick up a dolmus to the main towns. ( Just avoid Hisaronu unless you fancy a drink and a boogie) The poolside is lovely to relax and swim and relax some more... The restaurant is amazing.. we actually ended up staying for dinner here more. Best steak I have had in a while! The included breakfast is brilliant, really recommend the turkish breakfast or the tomato omelette. Now the staff.. are so so so so so lovely, you could ask for a trip to the moon and they would try and help you out! If you're interested in going on various trips.. just ask.

Honestly the best hotel I have stayed in.. because of the impeccable service and the welcome you are given.. I couldn't believe how inexpensive it is!!

I am going to drag more friends with me out there next year because of how great this place is.

P.S you have to visit the fish market in Fethiye.. pick your fish and have it cooked at a restaurant. I strongly recommend cam and can.. They do the best prawns cooked in garlic and chili. (my mouth is drooling from the memory). So great I went back 3 times!

Enjoy!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the main hotel building, ask for a room facing the mountain. Sitting on your balcony in...

We have just returned from spending an enjoyable week at the Yakamoz Hotel. The place is a real treat! The staff are helpful, polite and happy to answer any questions. Julie and Mehmet run the place and the smooth running of the hotel is to their credit.
The other guests were also very pleasant and friendly. We met some lovely people and had some great conversations and got some great tips about what to do and what to avoid.
The hotel serves good food at its on site restaurant. There is a good sized swimming pool and lots of areas to sit and relax. We had a room in the extension building which is nearer the new large hotel that backs on to the Yakamoz hotel. Although there was loud music sometimes late at night, this was resolved through the use of earplugs and was not too much of a problem. I understand that new rooms will be available soon in the main hotel and guests will have the option of staying in them or the extension building so options will be available.
We used the dolmus service to get around. It is cheap and fairly frequent. The hotel offers lifts upto the main road in the morning and evening. I would recommend bringing a torch with you if you intend to use the dolmus back at night as the road down is dark and unlit in places.
I would also recommend a great restaurant in Fethiye called Mozaik Bahce restaurant which is behind Dominos PIzza. Get the dolmus to Fethiye from the main road and asked to be dropped off at the fish market. The restaurant is about 10 minutes from the drop off. Ask somebody if you are unsure. We found most people happy to help with directions etc. Food at the restaurant is authentic Turkish and delicious. Be prepared for generous portions.
Also worth visiting is the market at Fethiye on Tuesdays. Good bargains to be had especially spices. Saffron particularly cheap as are leather shoes! Be prepared to haggle.
The Greek ghost town is worth a visit but be warned the climb is steep. Oludenoz is also worth a visit. You can get a boat trip from the to six islands from there.
In all, fantastic holiday. Shame we had to return home!

My husband & I have just returned from our 4th holiday at Yakamoz & have already booked for next year. Yakamoz really is a gem of a place - a peaceful oasis but only a 20 minute walk or short taxi/dolmus ride from shops/bars/restaurants. Mehmet, the owner, is the perfect host and he & his wonderful staff will go out of their way to make your holiday special, nothing is too much trouble. The pure number of returning guests speak for itself - once you have stayed at Yakamoz you will be reluctant to risk going elsewhere! Don't let this put first time guests off though, everyone is made most welcome and believe me - you will return! Yakamoz is situated a few miles from the traditional town of Fethiye & few miles in the opposite direction is the picture perfect Olu Deniz beach (The Blue Lagoon). A 10 minute walk takes you to the top of the lane where you can catch a dolmus (public minibus service) in either direction. If you don't fancy the short walk, Yakamoz offers free lifts to the top of the lane a.m. & early evening. Rooms at Yakamoz are homely and are kept meticulously clean. The food is to die for! The chefs are fantastic, providing amazing food, with superb attention given to the presentation of every meal. We are vegetarian but never tired of the delicious variety of food, chef frequently offered to make us 'special' veggie meals not on the menu, which were a culinary delight! Dining is perfectly situated under an arbour of grapevines & at either end of the season in the cosy indoor restaurant, complete with log fire. A small bar provides a good selection of value for money drinks served with ever friendly service. There is a good size swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds for everyone and for those that prefer the shade there is a variety of seating in the peaceful orchard, which includes relaxing in a hammock or in the traditional Turkish seating area. For any keen walkers Yakamoz is ideally situated for many scenic routes, accompanied by Mehmet if you want a knowledgable guide. A variety of other trips & activities can be booked at reception. All in all, you can do as little or as much as you want at this unique place. Book it - you won't regret it!

n.b. We stayed in room 24, 2nd closest to the nearby hotel. We were only disturbed by their music one evening out of fourteen nights. It was not a problem.

The Yakamoz Hotel - www.yakamozhotel.com
is a lovely small romantic hotel and restaurant near Fethiye in Turkey.
If you are staying at the five star Sahra Su and hate the food as I did, go down the road to the Yakamoz. The staff speak English and the guests are mostly English and better still the food is excellent and to British taste.

I would love to go back and stay here. It is an ideal small hotel in a romantic, peaceful setting with stunning views away from it all.

The staff are very helpful and arranged for me to be picked up and taken free of charge to a local beauty salon.

I highly recommed the Yakamoz Hotel and Restaurant.
