Yakamoz….the new name for relax

This has to be one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had.

Not sure I can add much more to what has already been said but I will try to give my opinion as best as I can.

Located a few miles from… other places, it is close enough to get a bus or taxi to them should you wish.
I say places because we were so very content to stay in the grounds of the hotel it was like we had been taken over by aliens. It is not our usual cup of tea to stay in the same place for so long without crawling the walls.

Don’t get me wrong we did go out a couple of times and enjoyed every minute. The boat trip is highly recommended. Although if we had been locked in for the entire duration I would not have felt deprived in any way.

The Yakamoz has this beguiling effect on people.
Without waxing lyrical about the enigmatic staff, beautiful surrounding, immaculate cleanliness and sublime food, suffice to stay if you are looking for all of these then this is the place to holiday. I say holiday I would call it a break, a break from reality as you know it.

If you are looking for music, activities and a full English type of environment …. Keep looking, elsewhere.
If for some reason you simply could not switch off there was always the option of having a massage courtesy of the mobile masseuse. I did not partake as I was afraid of falling into a coma i was already that relaxed.

The staff are always there 24/7 and nothing is ever too much trouble. That said everything seemed to have already been covered so negating any need for additional requests.
A special mention must go to the chefs who made such outstanding food each and every single meal. Without exception there was not one plate or bowl that was put in front of us we did not thoroughly enjoy. We tried something different every night and tried each others as well.
You would be hard pushed to find many places in this country that could serve such a choice of excellent food and retain the same consistency in quality.

We concur with other reviews about the staff and each deserves their place at the Yakamoz.
Unlike them we got to know them by name by the end of our stay. I say unlike them because it took all of them exactly one day to know our names and a matter of hours to know our room number. They asked once and not a single time more. You pay for everything the following morning from whatever you had the previous day. The bill was spot on every single time.

I could go on and on about attention to detail. Everything from serving the lady first, taking the top of the wine to ensure no sediment is in the glass, keeping a very close eye on each and every guest for their needs such as topping up of said wine and even water.
Don't get me wrong this was not a stuffy place it was professional with that much needed touch of humor and personality which each member of the Yakamoz offered.

As I say I have not done my usual in depth review as much of what I would have put has already been covered by others, but to sum up this is a place to relax and the location, the staff, the accommodation and the food all combine to make even the most stressed of individuals drop a gear.

We have always been of the mind that there are so many wonderful places to visit that we would not usually return to a hotel.
This is most definitely an exception.

Room Tip: All the rooms are fantastic and each have their plus and minus points. I would stay in any of them. Just make some inquires if you are unsure and read the reviews for a little more guidance.

Thank you for your kind words and telling every one about Yakamoz which has a special place and memories with each and every customer who had holidayed with us.

After your review I thought we will be number one hotel and stay number one for the next ten years.

But computer says no!

Being number one on a website is not the most important thing to us. What is most important is to keep human touch and friendliness in everything we do and let people have happy memories of us and our country for the rest of their lives.

We wish to continue keeping Yakamoz Hotel special for another 21 years and we hope to see many more people with happy memories telling their family and friends about us.

I would also like to conratulate all my staff for their hard work.

Thank you.

Mehmet

Psssssssst..can you keep a secret ?
Nestled in a valley, deep in the southern mountains of Turkey there is a hotel…
A hotel that is quite literally off of the beaten track.
What can we say about this fine establishment ?
My better half and I opted for one of the annexe rooms, upon opening the door we were greeted by a light and airy room, it was a simple layout in a rustic, Turkish sort of way. On stepping out onto the veranda, a vista of the sun parched sprawling Turkish mountains towered before me, this image was then rudely brought to an abrupt end by the clatter of the wife's 18 pairs of shoes being lobbed into the copious wardrobe.
We found the room very clean and functional with air conditioning, dressing table , hair dryer and a communal iron and ironing board and a large shower and WC room. We found the bed very comfortable and the linen crisp and clean, the rooms are cleaned to a very high standard daily.
Our first afternoon was spent by the beautiful pool, sun loungers and parasols are a plenty, and it is here that we had the opportunity to meet some of the fabulous staff.
This small band of dedicated brothers and sisters really do have your best interests at heart .And over the following days of our holiday we learnt that each member possesses unique qualities that when all meshed together will make your stay here a seamless and effortless experience.
Sani Ye , our ever happy ,smiling cleaner. I can only guess that she must be a retired member of Turkeys special forces , she silently moves from room to room carrying out her duties with surgical precision, you wouldn't notice her , other than the fact that your room is spotlessly clean on your return from your day out.
Next is Elif..the young, quiet Turkish angel with her mysterious dark eyes, ,still learning her craft but she will strive to go over and above her remit to fulfil your requests.
Then there is Ibrahim, on occasion Turkeys answer to James Bond , at meal times he saunters, he positively glides and levitates among the tables, suave sophistication seeping from his pours, he will "waft" in and out of your presence, full of wit and banter, his sunglasses perched precariously upon his head .
Then there is his understudy, Aykut he too has an uncanny knack of knowing when your cup of fresh coffee needs refilling without you needing to look up from your table, he will glide past ,,flip the flask and be on his way. He will then retire to his corner , eyes like a hawk , ready to respond to the merest twitch of your eyebrow , like a well seasoned auctioneer.
And now Adam, the quiet man with 15 years experience working at Yakamoz and hence he will have come across virtually every eventuality thrown up by a guest and he can always find a solution to your proverbial fly in your ointment.
And Julie( she will take your booking ) she is the very oil, the lubricant , the balance spring that keeps this establishment , and your stay ticking like the jewelled movement of a fine Swiss timepiece. She makes the effort to meet all of you personally and knows your name before you have to introduce yourself. With our experience, if you need something outside of the day to day running of the hotel she will do everything possible to help you.
Last but by no means least Mehmet, the owner , from time to time he will come and speak to you and make sure your stay is running smoothly, so a real personal touch prevails throughout the hotel and how it runs.
There are 3 dining areas, 1 at each end of the bar and one inside.
We preferred to dine outside under a large grape vine, the canopy of which was festooned with Turkish lanterns and at night when they are lit , these only serve to enhance the ambience. There is also a mixture of traditional Turkish and modern background music, yes there is something quite surreal to be felt when tucking into a perfectly cooked fillet steak only to look up and see the wife shimmying to a bit of Elvis in such surroundings ! Again all tastes are catered for.
The internal dining / lounge area is a relaxing place , we decided to take our liqueur coffees in here, the walls are adorned with traditional drapes, handmade rugs and instruments..
Overall a wonderful time and a very relaxing holiday made better by staying here. This hotel can deliver, only please don't book up , because we would like a room free for our next holiday there .!!

Recently spent 10 days at this small and very friendly hotel, our first trip to Turkey. Don't be put off that everyone seems to know each other, it's because so many return year after year. The rooms are rustic in feel and kept very clean. We stayed in the annexe and yes, as other reviews have said, there is a large hotel near but the sound of the entertainment wasn't too bad and ended by 11pm. The food is very good and artistically presented. The staff really make the place, so helpful, friendly and professional. The area is particularly welcoming to English and they do like sterling. We greatly enjoyed our time at the pool and sat in the orchard garden which was so peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed at Yakamoz for 2 weeks as a celebration of our 30th Wedding Anniversary and it was the perfect choice.
Before booking I had closely read the reviews here in Trip Advisor so the Hotel had a lot to live up to and if anything it exceeded my expectations; a beautiful location with a mountain backdrop, friendly, good humoured staff who can't do enough for you - and behind that there is a solid professionalism, they were constantly working to ensure that, whenever possible, what the guest wants, the guest gets.
There are only (I think) 29 rooms making the place small enough for all guests to be known by name yet large enough for friendships to be formed, yet, importantly, if you want to be left alone, you will be. Also worth mentioning that, being a good way above sea level, the temperature is a degree or two below that at sea level making it more comfortable, especially at night. Finally, it is well served by the local buses (Dolmus), just 1km up the road, the hotel will give - a lift up there in the morning & early evening if you want, which take you to the nearby resorts of Fethiye & Oludeniz, a 15-30 minute ride, costing next to nothing.
Highly recommended

Room Tip: Try Limon Cottage where we stayed for extra space & privacy, has everything you'd expect in a self-catering place (apart from a cooker), including a fridge, good if you've been out for lunch & want to stay in in the evening with a cold snack & a bottle of vino or cold beer

We have just spent 10 days at the Yakamoz and would like to echo the reviews of other guests. A friend of mine recommended the hotel and we were not disappointed. Good food, clean rooms and friendly staff. Speaking to fellow guests we found that a lot of people return year after year or found the hotel on trip advisor. The hotel is slightly remote, surrounded by fields with hens and sheep which is what most people like about the place. If you like to excercise you can go for walks, they have a folder in reception with various walks in it. You can also get around via the dolmus transport and the hotel provide a courtesy bus to the main road. You can do nothing and laze around the pool or sit in the gardens if you wish.Overall a very pleasant stay. We will return
