We planned to stay at the 3 star-Highview hotel for one week bed & breakfast, but on our first night we were told (along with two other couples) that there were no rooms for us. We had to stay the first night at the Hotelier's other hotel; The Malibu. This is one of the worst hotel I have ever had to stay in as far as cleanliness, up to dated furnishings and the fact we were in an attic room with no balcony for air, a sloping ceiling so we couldn't even stand up right. Then the hotelier was hesitant when asked if we would definitely had a room the day after at the Highview which was un settling and then had the cheek to ask us for £100 lira for the safe and air conditioning!! We told him we would not pay a thing until we had our room back at the Highview. We didn't un-pack that night and to be honest I was totally depressed. The first day of our holiday was ruined thanks to the hotel manager of the Highview & Malibu.
The following day we did manage to get a room at the Highview and I was totally relived to find that the rooms were clean and a little more up to date. Although no TV or tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast there was very basic and the same every day; tomatoes, cucumber, bread, butter, jam, choc spread, honey, boiled eggs, watermelon, cheese, salami, coffee and tea.
