This was our second visit to Gunes and will definitely be returning. From the minute we were picked up from the airport to the minute we left the hotel the service we received can not be praised highly enough. The hotel room was basic but very clean and more than adequate for how long we were in the room. The staff were fantastic yet again and nothing was too much trouble for them. Oktay the bar man will be sorely missed next year. The hotel itself is located at the beginning of Ovacik making it an ideal base for having any kind of holiday you want ie beach holiday (take dolmus to Olu Deniz), lively nightlife (15 walk into Hisaranou) or a quiet holiday (stay in Ovacik). Food in hotel was of a high standard. If you want a holiday that offers great value for money then would highly recommended a stay at Gunes.

We travelled to Turkey as part of a group of 6 adults and 6 children sharing 3 apartments. The apartments were basic but clean and gave us just what we needed for our stay.

The hotel is well maintained, the staff are super friendly and couldn't do enough for us and is situated in a great location to explore everything. Some great resteraunts locally with the ease of being able to visit other places as well with a dolmus stop very close by (or as an alternative Zaff at the hotel organised transport for us from the hotel at the same price which was great with Beyram making reservations). Equally food in the hotel itself was really good and great value for money.

All in all a great place to stay providing excellent value for money. Lots of other guests had been visiting year in year out which was a great sign. We will definitely be back at some point.

Thanks Beyram and Zaff for the hospitality and to Ohktoy who was superb in terms of looking after us.

A great place to stay!

We stayed in a very pleasant one bedroomed apartment which was clean and spacious. The location at the beginning of Ovacik suited us perfectly. Near all the facilities but far enough away from the noisy centre of town! Very polite and helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

We stayed at this little gem of a hotel in july 2013 the staff were brilliant and the half board basis food was exceptional.
We managsed to go to lots of beaches off the beaten track visit the amazing monument at Tlos and see the gorge but the antics of all the tourists floating down the gorge water was too much for us its a bit spoilt.
Gemillia beach is just past Kayakou very serene and the food at the beach was amazing.
Patarra beach is a bit of a drive but worth it lots of white sand and surf, exellent.
We went on a boat trip which was the very best we have ever been on just island hopping and jumping off the boat 4 of us went for £35 including lunch of barbeque chicken or trout cooked on board.
oh yes top tip make sure you take a good supply of sterling because the locals prefer it and you will see lots of signs asking for pounds and not the Turkish lira.
We hired a car for £20 a day which is what we were paying on the dolmus each day so for comfort and ability to explore get a car.
We did opt for air conditioning whilst staying here its £25 a week and the day we left we paid £15 to keep one of our rooms.
Top bar man and silver service waiter is Octai a supremo with adults and children and a wicked sense of humour.
If you like been off the beaten track but close to the maddening crowds then this is a great base and comfortable too.
For the children its great that they can stay in the pool until 7.30 and there is a pool table that is free which makes life a little easier.

We booked this hotel as a base for visiting family, it was ideal as it was just across the road from their house. All the staff are friendly, they arranged the transfers from the airport for us at a reasonable price. The apartment we had was spacious 2 bedrooms, bathrooms but no cooking equipment but that didnt bother us as we ate out the time we were there. We would book and stsy here again

We stayed here for 2 weeks over our son's 9th birthday to fulfil his treat (his choice to have a mud bath in Turkey!) having never been to Turkey before we were very pleased with the "feel" of the place - extremely friendly staff and owners. It is not 5 star but it was clean, the pool was great and the food brilliant. We were self catering but the standard of the food and the great value for money made it logical to have meals in the Gunes restaurant or locally. We were very pleased with the standard and price of the meals and were sorry to have waited so long before eating in the hotel as it is as good if not better than some of the local ones. Because the hotel is some 400mtrs above sea level in the hills, the heat was more bearable than either Fetiye or Oludeniz. Quiet if you want that, but as has been said in other posts, only a short Dolmus ride to more exciting nightlife if required. All in all a great hotel for the money and as long as you don't expect the Ritz (@this price?) and treat it as a place to rest your head at night you will not go far wrong. Would definitely stay here again!!
