Babadag is the Turkish name meaning father mountain......
We made the mistake to agree to go paragliding from the top of the mountain 6,000 metres high where ice sheets never melt.....
Unfortunately we were not given appropriate outerwear for the experience and ended up getting chilled to the bone when flying through cold shafts of wind after jumping off the mountain - which was a terrifying experience - which I could not refuse to do - although I had last minute misgivings and wanted to cancel the paragliding experience which was ignored and I was forced to jump and take off when my pilot starting running from behind - and another man pulled us from the front to get the speed for take off.........We went with Hector - although we booked with another company ... All the paragliding adventures appear to be owned by Hector so make sure you do not get ripped off and pay more than necessary for the experience....
There was also a video taken which cost extra - but worhtwhile as the proof I did do the paragliding and will probably never do it again.....
We flew over beautiful scenery like an eagle - although I was too frightened and freezing cold to look down or enjoy the experience from my closed eyes and before we landed the pilot did a trick that made me feel sick with the fast turning........
Babadag mountain looked like a good place to go walking and hiking with a picnic on the lower slopes on a sunny day.........
We never saw any restaurants or shops going up Babadag so you would need to go fully prepared for the day with food and drink ........

We had a meal on top of Babadag 1968 metres up! £20 each to be picked up from your hotel taken to the top in a Dolmus fed and watered then we watched the sun go down superb See TINY AKROPOL for details . Then they light fires for warmth give you a blanket if needed , then take you back to your hotel in time for bed.

Didn't like getting to the top as the roads are terrifying well worth it once you're up there though as the views are incredible, I only wish I had a parachute as I think I would have preferred to jump then drive back down!
