Fethiye Park Hotel

Reviewed 21 September 2013

Just got back from our first visit to Turkey. The Fethiye Park Hotel was a perfect choice for us as it is ideally situated, just off the main street, but very quiet and private. The owner and his staff were absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, The on site restaurant provided an adequate buffet breakfast and value for money snacks and meals. The rooms are very basic but very clean and were cleaned every day, towels and bed linen was changed every other day. The pool and pool area were very clean and never crowded.

Would have no problem booking this hotel again.

My wife and I had a great week at the Fethiye Park Hotel in the first week of July. The hotel is actually in Hisaronu and is a good base to visit Oludeniz and Fethiye downtown. We arrived at the hotel around 11pm being dropped off by our airport transfer (coach) outside the hotel. It was dark so we were not sure where we were going but were met by two friendly staff. An initial surprise was that there is no traditional hotel reception area but instead an outdoor cabin that is used as the office. Don't let this put you off, it simply adds to the character of the hotel.
What we liked about the hotel was that once you are within the enclosure of the hotel you are away from all the noise from the central area and yes it is very close to the central busy area of restaurants and shops so another positive.
All rooms have a balcony and when we stopped out in the morning we looked out to a great view of the swimming pool area and the mountains in the background. The room was pretty basic compared to other hotels that we have stayed but the balcony space gives you that extra space. There was a small tv and A/C in the room which was very handy. There was a fault with the door key when we put it in the slot as it kept tripping and it needed a bit fidgeting before it clicked in place. The bathroom had a funny smell every time we walked in the room and opened the door, and possibly the heat escalated the problem but we never reported this to staff.
Another great positive was that the bus stop was just across the road and there is a mini bus service with buses coming every 5 minutes or so. This was very handy. It cost 2,75TL to go to Oludeniz and 3.50TL to go to Fethiye.
I had read on one of the reviews that a buffet breakfast was not provided but this was not the case when we were there and we thought it was pretty good although there could have been more of a variety of cereal and you do need to pay for fresh juice.
Many of the guests during the week dined at the hotel in the evening and we also tried the food a couple of evening, which was very nice.
The swimming pool looked very clean and although we did not use it, it was used often by other guests regularly. There is also a table tennis table and pool table. The pool table is covered with a plastic sheet and all we needed to do was ask the staff and they would take it off for us.
Many reviewers have mentioned how great the staff are and that is very true. The staff make your stay very special and are very helpful. Sinan, the owner is a true gent and was very friendly and was helpful to us all week. We had a late night flight going back and he had no problem with us spending the afternoon at the hotel and if there was a room free, he would have let us use it. There is a small team of staff and we got to know Nurullah very well who is a great guy and spoke English very well.
We definitely chose the perfect hotel to stay at and would have no hesitation to stay at the Fethiye Park Hotel again.

If you want a hotel that is situated in the best part of town, convenient for buses and shops yet quiet at night, clean and all the food served to you to be fresh and tasty, the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful, look no more, the Fethiye Park hotel is the hotel for you, we had booked in to another hotel and after a couple of nights we had enough so booked into the Fethiye and it was the best move we made, If you want a great hotel book into the Fethiye.

What a fantastic place to stay moved here after spending 3 nights at what I can I can only describe as a hell hole (hisar holiday club). The staff are fantastic and cannot be more helpful, service is very personal and nothing is too much trouble. Food good and rooms clean large and airy. Prices were amazingly cheap. Staying at this hotel made the holiday into one of the best, a return is a must!!!!

The owner Sinan has an incredibly warm personality and he e-mailed me soon after my reservation was made on booking.com. We very much enjoyed knowing him personally during our short stay there. The crowd was mostly gong when we were there in November. But the property was kept very clean. The rooms are basic, but considering the cost, it was still a great option. Each room has hot water, AC/heat, a refrigerator, and a TV. Bathroom has shower doors and towels were surprisingly thicker and fluffier than those at more expensive places we stayed at in Turkey. The only minor negative was that the breakfast was not buffet style and the served portion was small.

I stayed here at the end of a 12 night trip backpacking the Lycian coast from Antalya. I had really gone off the beaten track of Turkey on this trip so the horror that is Hisaronu was a bad ending. Tacky, loud, full of the worst type of Brits abroad and the Turkish men were shouting obscene things to me when I was just walking down the street. A good reason not to even venture onto Bar Street!!!

BUT....this hotel was lovely, the staff and the owner AMAZING. They couldn't do enough to help me. I paid less for this hotel than any other on my trip (about £18 a night) and the standard was very high. TV and fridge in the room, nice balcony and the pool is really big. The only bad thing is that you have to pay for coffee at breakfast. Also some people in other reviews have said that it's quiet.....it's not. Bar Street is about 20 yards at the back of the hotel and Bar Street is everything horrible about English resorts.

Oludeniz Beach is lovely...it was the only reason I was here. Don't bother going to the market, it's hassle hassle hassle. In my opnion avoid Hisaronu.
